Li Weihai and the others were also furious, hurling insults at Lin Tang. His actions were tantamount to grinding the Li Family's face into the dirt. Wei Shanhe was speechless, and Yue Songhe sneered relentlessly.
"Look!" Wei Zichu suddenly pointed inside the now-open coffin.

Lin Tang shot him a cold glance. "Everyone, look closely at the corpse's head!"
"The head?"
"What about it?"
"Whoa, I think I saw it… his-his-his-his eyelids moved!"
"They really moved!"
"No way! Is it reanimating? Or coming back to life?!"
Everyone's hair stood on end. After fluttering a few tis, the corpse's eyelids snapped open, its eyes staring blankly ahead.
"AH!"
The crowd scrambled back. Lee Encai and Wei Zichu shrieked in unison. Then, they both whipped their heads around to look at Yue Songhe, who was also screaming.

Yue Songhe's old face flushed red. Of all the n present, he was the only one to make such a sound. It was utterly humiliating.
The next mont, the corpse didn't crawl out as they had imagined. Instead, sothing from within pushed its eyeballs straight out of their sockets. With a wet POP, they burst, spraying a large amount of yellow fluid.
Imdiately after, the corpse's entire face lted and tore apart like a wax figure in high heat. A beetle-like insect, larger than a rat, crawled out from inside, waving its terrifying, serrated forelegs. Its wings unfurled like sharp blades, and its mouthparts extended like a spear.
Everyone finally understood. The corpse had been used as a host for this insect all along.
With the creature's ergence, the body rapidly decomposed, turning to ash. In just a few breaths, it had beco nothing more than a pile of black dust, without even a bone left behind.
"You monster!" Li Weihai and the others yelled, their eyes bloodshot, wishing they could smash the insect to pieces.
BUZZ!
The insect's long antennae twitched. Its horrifying compound eyes swiveled. Suddenly, it shot forward, flying like a lightning bolt toward the person closest to it—Lee Encai!
It was too fast. No one could react in ti. Lee Encai stood frozen, watching helplessly as it lunged, ready to impale her.
At the critical mont, however, Lin Tang proved reliable. With a single upward slash of his sword, he sliced the insect in half.
"SQUEAK—!"
The insect let out a piercing shriek, bounced on the ground a few tis, and then died.
Shi Guangliang suddenly vomited a mouthful of blood and collapsed heavily to the ground.
Having snapped back to her senses, Lee Encai, like a frightened little rabbit, threw herself into Lin Tang's arms. "I was so close to dying!" she cried, her body trembling with lingering fear. She pointed at Shi Guangliang and asked, "Brother Lin, what's going on? Why would Grandpa Shi…"
Despite the soft and fragrant woman in his arms, Lin Tang showed no sign of being moved. Instead, he disdainfully pushed her away. "Are you that foolish? Things have progressed this far, and you still don't understand? Naturally, it was your 'Grandpa Shi' who used a corpse to cultivate an energy ridian, and then used that ridian to raise this insect. He was their savior, yet they had hurled such vicious words at him.
"Master Lin, we are deeply sorry! Truly sorry!" Li Weihai was the first to bow in apology. The others hurriedly followed suit.
Lee Encai was overco with sha and was about to speak when a crazed shriek cut through the air, as grating as a night owl's cry.
"AAAH! WHO?! Who ruined my plans and killed my precious insect?! I'll kill you! All of you will die!"
Imdiately after, Madam Qian appeared, standing alone before the crowd.
"So you were in cahoots with Shi Guangliang!" Li Weihai roared, now more certain than ever that the so-called marriage contract was a complete sham. It was all a setup. "My father wasn't that old when he died more than a decade ago. His death was likely your doing! The problems with our family's feng shui… that was your work too!"
"That's right, it was us!" Madam Qian's cold eyes swept over each face. Seeing them as already dead, she admitted it freely. Her sharp nails glinted with an eerie light as a powerful aura erupted from her body.
Wei Shanhe's expression grew grave. This old woman is actually at the late-stage Innate Realm? This is bad. I should have asked the President to co along…
