At the Jiangbei Branch of the True Martial Association.
SLAP!
A resounding slap landed on Lu Liangfei's face.
"Speak! Was Lin Tang the one who killed my Tang Sect Leader?!" Tang Dingwu demanded, seething with rage.
Though his injuries had not yet fully healed, dealing with a man like Lu Liangfei was still a simple matter. Originally, at Zhu Yingning's reminder, Lin Tang had gone looking for him, intending to wipe him out completely. But who could have guessed that, despite no one sending a warning, Tang Dingwu had already slipped away? Zhu Yingning speculated that Tang Dingwu must have added so kind of electronic sensor to the building's demolition chanism. When he sensed the explosion, he knew sothing was amiss and, ever cautious, had already relocated.
"Spare ! I'll talk, I'll tell you everything! It was Lin Tang! He did it!" Lu Liangfei kowtowed repeatedly.
"Bullshit!" Tang Dingwu kicked him savagely. "What makes you think that kid is a match for my cousin? I'll give you one more chance. Was it him?"
"It wasn't him! It wasn't! To be honest, I didn't believe it was him, either. He's so young! He only managed to injure Yan Renjie, a Houtian Peak master, with a sneak attack using that Divine Sword. After the fight, he was so exhausted he could barely stand. There's no way he could be a match for our Sect Leader," Lu Liangfei cried, changing his story.
But all he got for his trouble was another beating.
"If it wasn't him, why did so many people claim they saw him with their own eyes? If it wasn't him, why did you just say it was? Do you take for a fool?"
"No, no…"
"Tell exactly who it was! Be clear!"
"I really don't know! I was knocked out… AGH!"
The hapless Lu Liangfei was treated as a punching bag and tornted relentlessly. Fortunately, Tang Dingwu didn't kill him in the end. He left, his indignation still simring.
"Who could it be…" he muttered, filled with doubt.
Zheng Hongsheng? Impossible! That old man is ancient, and our fight was a fifty-fifty split at best. Besides, he was seriously injured; how could he possibly have killed the Sect Leader?
"Sigh—" he breathed, a wave of desolation washing over him.
Although he had always coveted the Sect Leader's position, they were, after all, blood-related brothers who had grown up together. He had deep feelings for the other clan mbers as well. But now they were all dead.
I must get my revenge! he vowed, clenching his teeth.
He was passing a man and a woman when the man suddenly spoke up.
"Friend, a mont," Yan Luoyang said, flashing a grin that didn't reach his eyes.
"Who the hell is friends with you? You're just a green-behind-the-ears junior, and you dare act all high and mighty in front of ? Go to hell!" The hot-tempered Tang Dingwu was imdiately put off by the young man's strange smile and simply lashed out with a fierce, venomous punch.
"Heh—" Yan Luoyang's hand also radiated a sinister, poisonous air as he t the attack head-on.
Tang Dingwu grunted, his already pale face turning even more ghastly. He was shocked. How could such a young man possess this kind of power?
"What kind of shortcut Evil Skill is that? Aren't you afraid of the backlash killing you?"
"That's none of your business," Yan Luoyang replied coldly, before his smile returned. "You're injured, aren't you? As it happens, I'm very skilled at healing. Do you need my help?"
"Offering help for no reason ans you're either a swindler or a thief. Why should I trust you?"
"Because we share a common enemy: Lin Tang."
"Hmph, he's already dead…"
"He's not dead. I guarantee it."
"This…"
In the end, Tang Dingwu led them back to his hideout. His son and daughter were also there, their lives hanging by a thread. If they couldn't be saved soon, they would surely die.
Adopting a last-ditch-effort ntality, Tang Dingwu said, "If you can save them, I'll believe in your power."
"Simple. Please give us so privacy," Yan Luoyang said confidently after a single glance.
"Why do you need privacy?"
"My healing thods are a secret technique. They cannot be seen by outsiders."
"Fine."
Lee Encai was about to leave as well, but Yan Luoyang stopped her. "You're my fiancée. You should stay," he said with a smile. "You can witness my thods firsthand."
Hearing this, Lee Encai was genuinely curious to see how he would perform the healing. Lin Tang was young, a master of martial arts, and even knew dicine; he could save people. Yan Luoyang was the sa.
Were they truly destined to be archenemies?
Under Lee Encai's watchful gaze, Yan Luoyang grabbed Tang Ruqing. The next mont, he opened his mouth, his fangs elongating as he bit down on her neck.
GURGLE…
The sucking sound was sickeningly distinct as Tang Ruqing's body rapidly shriveled.
My god! This guy is a legendary vampire! He's terrifying! Lee Encai was stunned.
Of course, Yan Luoyang was neither a vampire nor a zombie. This was just one of the bizarre secret techniques from his Corpse Heart Technique.
Soon, Tang Ruqing looked no different from a dehydrated corpse. But then, she began to inflate like a balloon, gradually returning to her original state. She suddenly shuddered, and her eyes snapped open. A stiff, puppet-like smile spread across her face.
"Master… Master…" she said, kneeling and kowtowing to Yan Luoyang.
Yan Luoyang smiled triumphantly. Before a dumbfounded Lee Encai, he repeated the process on Tang Shaojie, turning him into another of his Corpse Slaves.
"Next, it's the turn of the fellow outside," Yan Luoyang said with an intoxicated look. Instead of weakening him, creating two Corpse Slaves had actually made him stronger.
He called out loudly, "You can co in now."
Tang Dingwu entered, skeptical yet hopeful. His face imdiately lit up with joy.
"Shaojie! Ruqing! You're really awake!"
"Dad!" Tang Shaojie and his sister wore expressions of excitent. "It's all thanks to Master! Without him, we would never have been reborn!"
"Master?" Tang Dingwu was taken aback.
Then he was ambushed by the siblings and Yan Luoyang all at once.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"ARGH!" Tang Dingwu roared. He was trapped and finished.

Zhu Yingning had always been particular about her appearance, always dressing exquisitely and enchantingly. But on the journey carrying Lin Tang back to Jiangbei, she had suffered imnsely. She was covered in dust, her face grimy and her hair a ss.
Ever since Lin Tang jumped onto her back, he hadn't gotten off. If she dared to struggle, he would only cling tighter, nearly suffocating her to death. She wasn't without her own ideas, even contemplating killing the unconscious Lin Tang. Yet sohow, though he couldn't be woken, he seed to predict her every move, preemptively tightening his grip and cutting off her breath. This had deprived her of any chance to sleep or even use the restroom. It was sheer misery!
As they neared Jiangbei, the number of people on the roads began to increase. Zhu Yingning stank, looking no different from a beggar. Furious and mortified, she let her long hair hang loose and used a scrap of cloth to cover her face, hoping to avoid being recognized.
Lin Tang, severely injured by the giant snake, was covered in blood and just as filthy. The pair made for a strange sight as they moved through the city, drawing many stares. People pointed and whispered, making Zhu Yingning burn with sha.
Aaargh, this is so humiliating!

Jiangbei Train Station.
"Brother, you're finally back!" Wang Shouzhen waved excitedly.
A towering figure stepped down from a military vehicle. It was Wang Shouben, the eldest son of the Wang Family. Despite his youth, he carried an aura of unspoken authority and dominance.
"Second Brother!" he said, patting Wang Shouzhen on the shoulder. "You've grown taller and sturdier."
"Yeah, Big Brother. When you left, I was just a scrawny kid. You could lift with one hand."
"Haha, I could still lift you now."
"Hey, cut it out! Give a guy a break…"
The two brothers laughed and joked. Then, Wang Shouzhen sighed and told him how he had been miserably bullied by a young man nad Lin Tang. With a hint of schadenfreude, he added that Lin Tang was now dead—a fate he truly deserved.
"Oh?" Wang Shouben snorted coldly. "Now that I'm back, no one in Jiangbei—no, in the entire province—will dare bully you again!"
"Ah?" Wang Shouzhen was stunned, then asked excitedly, "Brother, can you give a hint? What rank have you reached in the Dragon Combat Camp?"
"My specific rank is confidential. Let's just say it's a height you can't even imagine," Wang Shouben said proudly.
The more secretive he was, the more curious Wang Shouzhen beca, pestering him for details like a cat clawing at his heart.
Just then, he saw Zhu Yingning carrying Lin Tang, passing by a short distance ahead.
"Lin Tang! How is that son of a bitch still alive?!" Wang Shouzhen blurted out.
"So that's the Lin Tang you were talking about?" Wang Shouben smirked. "Perfect timing. Big Brother will settle the score for you right now."
"Whoa, hold on! Lin Tang is an incredible martial artist, and he has a ridiculously sharp divine sword!" Wang Shouzhen hastily grabbed his arm.
"Incredible martial artist?" Wang Shouben took a closer look at Lin Tang and scoffed. "That frail-looking consumptive? I could kill him with one finger. As for that divine sword, you don't an that pile of scrap tal, do you?"
"Huh?"
Wang Shouzhen squinted, his eyes widening when he saw that the once-radiant Divine Sword was now nothing more than a few chunks of scrap iron.
"This…"
Wang Shouzhen was shocked. Then he took in Lin Tang's state. He was immobile, his clothes tattered and bloodstained. He couldn't even walk, forced to rely on a masked woman to carry him. What a pitiful sight!
I get it! Lin Tang must have picked a fight with soone he couldn't handle. Not only was he beaten into a cripple, but his Divine Sword was destroyed too! Hahaha! Isn't his fate worse than death now? This is my chance to kick him while he's down! Wang Shouzhen was ecstatic.
What do you call this? This is what they call the tables turning!
"Lin Tang! And you, his wench! Stop right there!" Wang Shouzhen roared.
"Hm?" Zhu Yingning's eyebrows knitted together. She was about to use her poison to silence the man.
But Lin Tang, who had been unconscious the entire ti, spoke without opening his eyes. "Don't waste ti. I need to see Shen Youling imdiately."
"…Yes." Zhu Yingning lowered her head obediently and quickened her pace.
The more she "fled," the more convinced Wang Shouzhen beca that Lin Tang was crippled. Just as he was about to give chase, Wang Shouben's phone rang. He held up a hand to stop him.
"Forget it. We can deal with small fry like him later. I have sothing to take care of, so let's go."
"Oh, okay, Big Brother!" Wang Shouzhen agreed. There was no rush; he had plenty of ti.
He couldn't resist pulling out his phone, though. He had to be the first to spread the news that Lin Tang was now a worthless cripple. That way, everyone who held a grudge against Lin Tang would surely co seeking ruthless revenge.
He couldn't wait. He was eager to see Lin Tang beaten to a pulp.
That would be incredibly entertaining.
