Now reading: Chapter 553 - 75: Zero-tailed3 from Fleeing from Konoha, a Fantasy novel by Ye Xining.

"You Sky Ninja are researching the Tailed Beast, right? Where is that thing? Hand it over."

Ruri’s cold words were filled with a commanding tone, a domineering and ruthless stance from above, not negotiating with Shinno.

Shinno coughed blood from his mouth, understanding the aning of Ruri’s words, and laughed, "I see, you ca for the ’Zero-tailed’, didn’t you?"

He could clearly feel the monstrous power within Ruri’s body; his own body, which he prided himself on, couldn’t even withstand a single punch from her, utterly crushed by such overwhelming strength, completely hopeless given his own power.

"Zero-tailed?"

Ruri raised an eyebrow, hearing this na for the first ti.

"Yes, it’s quite an extraordinary thing. Although it wasn’t sothing created by us, the Land of the Sky was the first country to discover its existence."

Shinno’s tone was full of pride.

"I’m not interested in the history of the Land of the Sky. Where is that thing?"

Ruri didn’t waste words and asked directly.

"Let go first, and I’ll take you there."

Shinno’s face broke into a sly smile, which quickly disappeared.

"Don’t play tricks."

Ruri removed her foot from Shinno’s head.

"Don’t worry, with your strength, even a hundred of wouldn’t be your match. Truly worthy of the Uchiha lineage, what enviable power. If only I could use it."

Shinno stood up crookedly from the ground, dusting off the dirt on his clothes, blood streaming down his forehead, making his smile very ugly and comical.

"Have you finished talking nonsense?"

"Cough cough, what a rude little girl. Since you so desperately want the Zero-tailed, let take you there."

Seeing Ruri’s cold gaze directed at him, Shinno realized she was already impatient, so he didn’t delay any longer.

He approached the pillar connected to the stone throne, touching it with his palm; imdiately, glowing curse seal symbols erged on the pillar. The brightened surface revealed a hidden opening, large enough for a hand to reach inside.

Under Ruri’s watchful gaze, Shinno steadily inserted his hand into the opening and pressed a button inside.

A hole appeared on the floor beside Shinno, allowing passage and connecting to the lower space.

"Follow , the Zero-tailed is down here. That guy’s not easy to deal with."

Shinno was the first to jump into the hole, descending into the deeper space.

Ruri showed no fear, following Shinno down the hole, entering the underground space where the Zero-tailed resided with him.

Landing on the ground, Ruri stood firmly; the underground space was cylindrical, with a large, narrow tombstone-like instrunt positioned ahead.

In front of the instrunt was a giant cocoon-like object, supported and suspended in the air by several transparent tubes extending from the cylindrical walls.

The cocoon’s surface was transparent and emitting a faint glow, inside which lay a coiled giant snake-like creature, pitch black, its eyes closed, wearing a white mask, breathing with a rhythm of life inside the cocoon.

The transparent pipes winding around the cocoon were flowing with a black, liquid substance, continuously nourishing the big black snake inside the cocoon.

Although not very obvious, Ruri could still perceive that the creature within the cocoon was undergoing so kind of transformation.

However, due to insufficient energy supply, it was currently in a hibernation-like state, much like a serpentine creature.

"Hahahahahahaha!"

Underneath the cocoon, Shinno suddenly burst into a hysterical laugh for so unknown reason, drawing Ruri’s attention towards him.

He turned to look at Ruri, his face full of sarcasm and mockery, then pointed his finger rudely at Ruri, his smile disdainful:

"Who would’ve thought you’d actually follow here. I’ve long heard about the arrogance of the Uchiha clan’s ninja, and it seems you, this little girl, are no different. Hahaha, you’ll die here as food for the Zero-tailed."

Ruri, incredibly silent, glanced at Shinno, as her hands ford seals and Chakra gathered at her mouth, unwilling to listen to the unpleasant duck-like laugh of this guy any longer, which was simply pollution to her ears.

"?"

No Fireball spat from her mouth, or rather, as she spat it out, it instantly shrank, turning into a faint fla a ter away before disappearing in the air. This sudden change made Ruri narrow her eyes.

"Heh heh, you can’t use Fire Style here, can you? Sorry, but this is the Zero-tailed’s resting place. As long as you use Chakra here, it will be absorbed by the Zero-tailed and beco the Royal Capital Fortress’s energy source."

"Are you trying to feed as energy?"

Ruri looked at Shinno with a deep thought.

"Hehe, you’re too late to realize now."

Shinno took out a remote control from his pocket and pressed a button, sealing the passage above and turning this place into a cage from which there was no escape.

"Without the ability to use Chakra, how will you escape from here? Let see your desperate and tragic face of death; the Zero-tailed loves devouring the Chakra of the despairing."

Shinno displayed a triumphant expression, his shoulders trembling with excitent.

anwhile, the large black snake in the cocoon, the Zero-tailed, also seed to be stirred by devouring high-quality Chakra, wobbling within the transparent cocoon.

The mask on its head slowly lifted towards Ruri, the opened eyes on the white mask conveying an icy dark evil sensation, full of greedy desire.
