Up until now, he's re-read this book multiple tis, still not satisfied. Saying it never gets boring wouldn't be an exaggeration.
Reading "Icha Icha Paradise" has also beco his favorite way to relax.
Just taking off his jacket, Kakashi lay on the bed, engrossed in reading "Icha Icha Paradise".
No matter how many tis he reads it, he never gets tired of it. It's like Jiraiya's firsthand experiences, showcasing a glimpse of the Sannin's prowess.
Whether it's Orochimaru, Tsunade, or Jiraiya, Kakashi considers them geniuses in their respective fields.
Just when he was reading an exciting part, a sudden sharp breeze flowed in from outside the window, interrupting Kakashi's reading.
Killing intent!
Kakashi calmly closed the book and turned to look toward the window, where a shadow darted out, a kunai gleaming with a cold light, stabbing toward him.
Kakashi acted instantly, leaping off the bed nimbly to dodge the kunai attack.
But the assailant did not intend to back down, pressing closer with the kunai at a considerable speed.
Even within Konoha Anbu, there are only a few with such skills.
But this still wasn't enough for Kakashi.
Landing on the ground, he lightly bent his body, swinging his palm upward swiftly to strike the opponent's wrist.
The opponent let out a painful grunt, imdiately flicking their arm upwards, releasing the kunai, which flew and embedded deeply into the ceiling.
The opponent didn't intend to stop, continuing with a taijutsu attack, using legs, palms, and elbows to montarily trap Kakashi in a predicant.
Kakashi retreated while avoiding the fierce attacks, grabbing the White Fang Short Knife hanging beside the coat rack.
The mont Kakashi grasped the White Fang Short Knife, a moon-white electric charge flared across the blade, slicing through the air.
The kunai in the opponent's hand was cut in half by the electrified Short Knife.
Seizing the opportunity, Kakashi quickly approached the assailant and attacked with the White Fang Short Knife.
An astonishing scene occurred.
Kakashi, along with the blade, passed through the opponent's body.
A fierce punch wind brushed toward the back of his head; Kakashi remained calm, sidestepping and swiftly kicking backward, forcing the opponent to retract their fist and retreat several steps.
"Looks like you've also grown quite a bit over these years, Kakashi. Your skills are as fast as ever."
Only then did the assailant stop attacking, rubbing the wrist that Kakashi had hurt a bit, giving a playful smile.
"I didn't expect the one who used to be the dead last to develop such skills."
Kakashi responded indifferently, silently placing the White Fang Short Knife behind him.
The one who attacked him was Obito.
Their complicated past probably dates back to when they were in Ninja School.
Later, they both served under Yellow Flash Namikaze Minato, but after an incident, Obito and Lin were taken to the Land of Demons, leaving Konoha.
From the original Minato Squad, he is now the only one left continuing to serve in Konoha.
"Coming back after three days deserves a fresh look. Besides, I'm no longer the dead last, right?"
Obito slightly disgruntledly corrected the error in Kakashi's words.
"Maybe." Kakashi shrugged, then asked, "By the way, what brings you to Konoha at this ti?"
Obito waved his hand and said, "There's no particular purpose, just that among the escort team, I happened to be included. But I'm acting covertly; Konoha doesn't know about my information."
"I see."
Kakashi nodded.
As one of the sub-captains in the Anbu, he knew what Obito's 'escort mission' referred to.
Though he didn't understand why Hakushi placed his daughter here in Konoha to attend school, it was not his concern to worry about that.
Obito walked to the window, placing his hands on the sill, and took a deep breath.
The sowhat hot sumr breeze blew in from outside, ruffling his hair, making him feel pleasant.
Looking at the familiar scenery of Konoha Village outside the window, a trace of nostalgia flashed in his eyes, and he spoke with emotion:
"Also, to pay respects to Teacher Minato, which is sothing Lin asked to do before coming. The three of us are drifting apart from Konoha now, and always feel a bit sorry for Teacher Minato."
