Hakushi explained.
Ayane glanced at Hakushi and asked, "Then do we need to change any part of the plan? If sothing goes wrong, we’ll be in trouble."
Hakushi shook his head and said, "No need. We’ll proceed according to the original plan. From the intel I’ve gathered so far, there’s no need to make any extra adjustnts. Even if sothing unexpected happens, I have a way to deal with it."
Ruri and Ayane nodded.
Since Hakushi said so, he must be absolutely confident.
This man never does anything he’s not sure of.
He was born without an adventurer’s spirit.
"Right, before we go in, there’s one more important matter to resolve."
Hakushi looked down at his own shadow.
"Shadow Dancer, co out."
The dark shadow on the ground swelled into a solid form, finally shaping itself into a woman—the true body of the Shadow Dancer.

"It’s a pity, but you won’t be able to help with the coming battle. Just wait here, and don’t let anyone in."
"Yes."
Shadow Dancer nodded, her body vanishing from where she stood, lding into the surrounding night.
"Are you sure about this? She’s an important shield for you. Once the fighting starts, I might not be able to look after your safety. This opponent is different from Uchiha Madara."
Ayane said this.
"Can’t be helped. The risk of using that technique is too high; I might end up hurting Shadow Dancer by mistake. Besides, it’s not like I’m completely helpless in a fight. At least my Taijutsu hasn’t fallen behind over the years..."
As Hakushi was speaking, he felt the double-edged, doubtful stares from Ruri and Ayane and let out a sigh.
Fine. Compared to these two monsters, his Taijutsu really was a bit too sorry to look at.
His Taijutsu was decent—only when compared to most Ninja. These two monsters weren’t in that category.
"It’s a sha my Yang Clone still needs more work before I can use it. Otherwise, this plan would be virtually foolproof."
Hakushi shook his head helplessly.
It felt like ti was not on his side.
The three stopped talking and walked deeper into the cave.
The physical body of the demon was Sealed inside this Volcano Shrine.
The cave floor had been artificially worked, spreading out as a relatively flat passage.
In the recesses on both sides of the rock walls, candle holders were set in; the candle flas weren’t enough to illuminate the entire tunnel, so so areas still remained dim.
In this gloomy cave, more footsteps suddenly sounded from ahead.
Their eyes glowed with a scarlet light, their entire bodies shrouded in a layer of dark, eerie aura.
Judging from their forms, they weren’t the stone soldiers rampaging outside, but a group of living humans.
Seeing the clothes they wore, Hakushi recognized them as Ninja from the Hidden Sand, Hidden Cloud, and Hidden Rock.
"I was wondering where all the various nations’ Ninja spies who’d snuck into the Land of Demons had suddenly vanished to. So this is what happened."
Hakushi studied these Ninja under the control of the demon.
It was obvious that their hearts had undergone baptism by the Dark Power, turning them into puppet soldiers, like the stone soldiers outside.
However, compared to the stone soldiers outside, these Ninja puppets controlled by the demon were far more dangerous.
Not only had they retained the Ninja Techniques they wielded in life, they’d also been specially strengthened by the demon, making them stronger than they were before death.
Crack, crack!
The leading Hidden Cloud Village Ninja rotated his neck in an exaggerated twist, so far that bone-cracking sounds could be heard. His head hung at an angle, the corner of his mouth stretching into a twisted, evil grin.
Beneath his skin, snake-like things writhed and slithered rapidly.
It made his face look even more hideous and terrifying.
Then, like so aberrant creature, he dropped to all fours, let out a beast-like roar, and a wave of purple-black Chakra blasted from his mouth, easily whipping up a rock-shredding storm as he launched his attack on the three of them.
