"I was on my knees~"
"You were on your knees~" I humd while climbing out of the pit.
My only chance was to work with what I was given. I was given a dream, and I was given the ability to teleport. Teleporting it is then.
I can only react to the situation when I’m in it; there was no choreography I could cling to, though that was exactly what I had longed for. Even just thinking about being in the mouth of the giant paralyzed with fear, so how excruciating would it be in real life? I thought if I got the steps in my head—forward, backwards, left, right—then I would be able to concentrate on that when the ti cos.
But that’s just unrealistic.
If I am not sticking to a tooth because I am pressed into that tooth’s shape, I will move with each of his chews. There was no fixed stage, just one moving being against the other.
But I knew where the holes were I could hide in, I could teleport, and I still had ti to train—probably.
"Oh baby, it’s alright~"
"It’s alright to feel~"
Now I have to concentrate to be able to teleport inside the holes. I have to be able to teleport while moving, not while lying down. And I can neither black out nor take my ti to vomit.
I can’t directly teleport along the tongue to the throat because it is constantly moving; it would throw back instantly. Additionally, it is slimy—hard to get a grip. The teeth, in contrast, were rougher, not as smooth as real human teeth.
"Old enough to run~"
"Old enough to fire a gun~"
I walked to the beginning of the holes I dug, standing in front of the ’front teeth’ that had no pits, neither the original nor the battlefield I recreated—just a few hills where I placed the earth I had dug up.
"Just give this one night~"
"Just one night to feel~"
I want the window to open at my will, and I want it to bring where I want to.
I imagined just the triangle on the coin, giving it enough space over the coin, without the rest of the body or the square for the bed.
This will be my window.
"Like a magpie on the right path~"
I started to jog before I broke into a sprint, imagining not only the ground moving but also the upper teeth coming for .
’NOW’
I flipped the coin in my mind and imagined it bringing just a ter ahead, where the first molar would start. My body was compressed, plucked apart, and put together, and I crashed into the edge of one of the pits, which hit my stomach.
I just let my body go limp and allowed myself to fall into the pit. Putting my arms over my face after wiping my nosebleed away, I sighed.
After a few minutes of self-pity, I climbed out again, returning to my starting position.
"Like a magpie, on the right path~"
I ran between the front teeth hills, jumping and flipping the coin, like the last ti.
A ter ahead, bring through the window.
The impact of the next ti was so big that I had to lie down for a while. Then I sat up and ate sothing.
The difficulty is too great.
First, I have to try while walking.
I stood up and wandered away to a spot where I didn’t have to look at my future battlefield. Without stopping my walk, I flipped the coin while imagining myself teleporting a bit ahead. It worked, but I could not imdiately continue walking, and the damn nosebleed felt like it would never stop.
Again.
Again.
Again.
Again.
It didn’t work.
Looking at the coin, I saw that there was a new addition and broke down completely.
A vertical line, with a short horizontal line on top, an even shorter vertical line at the right end, and at the downward end, there was now a circle.
I had played the ga countless tis with my brother.
Hangman. Until now, each line had built the gallows, and now we had a head hanging from it. The torso, which would be another line to follow, then the arms, then the legs, and we’d have a little figure hanging on the gallows.
"AAAAAHHH!!" I let myself fall on the ground and slamd my fists against the earth—no, the ashes. The ashes that would beco my eternal burial ground.
I was so tired of all this that I stood up and conjured up a gun before pressing it against my temple.
"DO IT, DO IT!!!" I scread, my finger hovering over the trigger while I walked around frantically until the gun disappeared.
"Haha." I conjured Henry up and pushed him down, straddled him, and punched the ground beside his head multiple tis.
Then, I looked into those bright blue eyes, which were absolutely identical to the original.
I lowered my head and slid down a little, laying my ear against his heart, hearing it thump.
Thump, thump, thump.
I took a deep breath and breathed in Henry’s scent, waiting for the ten minutes to pass, thinking of absolutely nothing, only listening and breathing.
In and out, in and out, thump, thump, in and out, thump, in, thump, out, thump. When he disappeared, my body t the ground, and I felt much calr again.
I stood up and walked.
"Like a magpie~" I flipped the coin.
"On the right path~" I imagined how not only would I teleport ahead, but I also how I would continue walking as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Then I let the coin expand and fall.
This ti, my body did not feel as if it had been dissolved and reassembled, because this wasn’t what was happening to . I had perceived it falsely because I did imagine it falsely; what I was doing wasn’t your typical teleporting, it was a jump through ti and space—precisely through space.
So instead of being plucked and put together, the scene around changed so simply, so easily, as if the ground had moved without doing anything, as if just a bit more path had been added to the one I had already left behind .
Additionally, I never lost sight of the path ahead of , witnessing how I suddenly moved a ter ahead.
I chuckled, continuing to stride forward.
I flipped the coin, and it worked again.
Again.
Again.
Again, and this ti without a nosebleed.
I rested.
I jogged and flipped the coin.
It worked without losing sight of my direction.
Again.
Again.
Again.
I stopped, laughed, and looked up, pressing my palms against my eyes as tears spilled out.
I rested and ate.
I ran and flipped the coin.
It worked.
I sprinted and flipped the coin.
It worked.
I climbed and flipped the coin.
It worked.
I jumped and flipped the coin.
It worked.
"Hahaha." I sat down and cried for a long while.
After conjuring Henry up again, I hugged him and cried even more, cuddling him and biting his palm near his thumb before listening to his heartbeat and crying so more.
