I have heard of people undergoing dical bloodletting due to illness and other issues. In my case, it seed a significant part of the giant’s power resided in my blood, so it would be reasonable to spill a bit to improve my condition. It would also nourish others after they ingested it.
"You will suck my blood?" I mouthed to him, not wanting the smartwatch to hear while looking at him.
"It doesn’t have to be that way, though I would prefer if there were no trace left after we spilled it." Henry watched my lips, spellbound, before he averted his gaze.
"No, I am asking because I want you to do it." It would be a waste otherwise.
"Good. We’ll try that." Henry said, squeezing my hand and fiddling with his collar again. Dr. Lawrence returned with a bottle of clear liquid and two glasses. She sat down across from us, filling the cup.
"This is a vitamin solution. Is touching it enough, or do you have to taste it?"
"Touching is enough." I think.
"Good. Please continue to conjure it up and drink it; we will then see what changes."
"If it follows the sa principle as the paper, then the nutrition will lessen, right?" I asked her as she slid the glass to .
Henry let go of his collar and tapped the table.
"You drink it first." He demanded, addressing the blonde woman. She smiled as if she had expected that, filling the second glass she had brought before downing it.
"It’s just full of vitamins, but don’t drink it more than five tis a day."
I touched the glass, dipped my finger inside the clear liquid, conjured up the glass along with its contents again, and drank it. It didn’t taste like anything, just a bit oily.
Dr. Lawrence pulled the original glass back to herself because it would be needed to test its contents.
"Very well. We are finished for today."
Henry and I stood up and left; I checked my broken smartwatch.
"Ground floor." We didn’t have far to go; we apparently had so sport.
Henry humd as we made our way to it. After changing in an empty room because we were late, we walked outside.
"Don’t you want to take that down when we exercise?" I pointed to Henry’s neck as we headed to the track field, where the others were already running.
"Have you gone mad?" Henry covered his collar as if I wanted to take it away from him.
I laughed.
"Fine, fine, no one is taking it away." It was the first dog I had seen that was so happy about its chain.
As for my ankle that felt breezy and light, it was really a joy to not have that damn ankle monitor on it. Dr. Thompson could take his ti to find a new one.
We started to jog, and after the lesson, we went to shower, which was clearly more harmonious without the skinny guy. There had still not been anyone questioning us about their injuries, so it seed as if there would be no consequences for now.
Lunch break was next; Henry and I went to our room and took off our smartwatches.
"Where should I bite?" He asked, his gaze falling on my lips. I was sitting on the closed toilet in the bathroom and presented him with my wrist.
"Do you feel disgusted or anything? If yes, we can flush it down the toilet." I said.
He just chuckled and knelt on the ground in front of , grabbing my wrist and sinking his sharp teeth into my flesh. Well, I wanted to conjure up my kitchen knife to make a wound, but it had been who didn’t correct him when he asked where to ’bite,’ so okay.
I could feel his lips and his tongue, as well as his teeth, but there was no pain or anything. At least not the kind of pain I would have felt before I had leveled up so much.
Like with Henrietta, I felt my power draining, but in a much gentler, nearly tender way. Not in a way that would leave you feeling weak. Henry’s eyes were on mine as he perford this ’bloodletting’ like so kind of sacred ritual.
You really are putting on a pedestal, aren’t you? With each of your actions, you prove it. Though I feel guilty to be revered as sothing I am not, I still love to dwell in the feeling of ’what if.’ What if I really were the person you see as? My thoughts took a strange turn, growing darker with each passing second, when I saw Henry’s stark blue eyes change.
I was frozen with disbelief, watching how his eye color turned from blue to red before returning to blue. After another gulp he took, they beca half-red, the red hue ceasing and decreasing with the amount of blood he consud.
"Stop." I pushed his head away and pressed my wrist against my mouth to stop the bleeding while staring into Henry’s eyes, which turned back to their usual color.
"Did I drink too much? Are you feeling dizzy?" He asked , licking his lips and wiping the corner of his mouth with his fingers.
The action, again so sensual, made it seem as if he wiped away another kind of fluid, distracting for a mont.
"How are you feeling?" I asked Henry as my bleeding stopped, my worry overshadowing any kind of arousal I was instinctively suppressing.
"Mighty. Stronger than ever. I can hear the heartbeats of everyone ten ters away, I’d say. My shadowy energy is doing sorsaults." Henry didn’t seem particularly excited about it, rely stating the facts.
"I can also see every pore on your face." He comnted, letting his eyes roam over said face.
I don’t know if that’s a proof of power or an insult to my handsoness.
"We are not doing that again. Your eye color turned red for a mont."
"Like yours?" Henry raised his eyebrows.
"Exactly like mine." I nodded.
He fell into silence for a mont.
"Last ti, the effects of your blood lessened quickly. Let’s see if it helps; if so, then we’ll do it again."
"No. I’d give you as much blood as you want, but the fact that your eye color changed surely has so fucked-up aning."
"I don’t give a fuck about your power; I just want you to get better and not let so crazy scientists open the sewer pipes to get their hands on your blood."
"Don’t you understand?" My voice rose a notch louder than necessary.
"What if I obtain certain rights after you drink my blood? Like taking over your body, controlling it, or so other shit?"
Henry fell back to sit on his heels, looking surprised by my small outburst, before tilting his head at and asking innocently, as if it didn’t matter at all,
"So?"
