Now reading: Chapter 290. Top three most hated world from Flip the Coin [BL], a Yaoi novel by Chay007.

"Kenny."

I felt soone shake my shoulder; the vortex had already spat out—back into my body.

I checked the table; it had turned back to its uncarved side, with the golden coin on top of it. I tried to flip it just in case, but it wouldn’t move.

Figured. Parts of my ability apparently had so fucked-up cooldown phases that worked without any real rules.

"Hm?" I felt so dizzy that I couldn’t do anything as I leaned against the wall of the cave, feeling the little crystals against my back.

"What are you doing?" It was Henry’s voice, but it was somber enough for anyone to recognize it as the commander’s.

"ditating." I said, finally opening my eyes to look at the commander crouched down in front of .

"What did you an just now? Do you know of a way out from here?"

"Nope." Apparently, not a way out—just a way to visit unruly puppies.

I hadn’t asked Henry if he was alright, which was bugging now.

I bent to my side and vomited blood, trying not to sully the commander.

"Woah, are you alright?" Birthmark stood up from where he sat, still maintaining a distance from , who sat near the feet of Mr. Aslan and the figure.

"Are you okay?" The commander patted my arm while I continued to vomit blood.

Damn, we need to change caves now. Additionally, I would probably have to get Mr. Aslan new shoes.

"Mhm." I answered the commander, straightening up and closing my eyes while I conjured up a bottle of water.

"What happened when I was away?" Had Anti-Guy preoccupied my body in the anti? Soul swap?

"Away? You just closed your eyes."

Okay, this could either be because of the ti differences between the worlds or because my ability to change bodies operated the sa way my ability to take out things did—in less than a second.

This would remain a mystery for now, but I was really relieved that Anti-Guy not only had not taken over my body to do whatever with it, but also that he didn’t wake up inside a crystalline world without any clue of what was going on.

Fuck. I was really happy to be back in my own body, my own skin, hands, and stuff.

Henry said he had tried to find his sister, which would be the simplest way to open a portal and get the survivors out. After that, the commander could also be brought back to his world. For that kind of thing, I would even volunteer to give her blood, though, on second thought, better not.

I snapped my eyes open. No, wouldn’t it be absolutely perfect if I could enter her body? Though we didn’t know if I would then be able to wield her power, I was inclined to think that I would be able to do so. As for the reason I was so sure: while in the others’ bodies, I could not wield my power. Wouldn’t it make sense that I could only use the ability they had?

Good to have found out about another way to force her to open and close portals.

"What are you thinking?" The commander asked, putting his hand on my forehead.

"Why are you behaving so chummy with ?" I asked him the reverse question of what he had asked when we were standing outside the cave.

He froze and put his hand away, seeming a bit flustered.

"Are you—" My wandering eyes stopped at the crystalline figure that looked sowhat strange.

I jumped up to get a better look.

The figure wasn’t purely milky white anymore—like veins, a red color was now spreading through its body, which still mirrored the sleeping Mr. Aslan.

I followed the red color that had anwhile spread to the figure’s navel, seeing that its origin seed to be the feet of the figure, where a bit of the blood I had vomited had splattered.

Oh-oh...

"Commander, bring everyone out, except for Mr. Aslan." I said quietly, the commander standing behind also witnessing the figure changing colors. He turned around and hissed for the two office guys to leave.

"Go with them." I commanded him, but he stepped instead in front of , that fucker.

I grabbed him by his uniform and flung him out of the cave entrance, noting that the Office Guys had already made it outside as well.

Getting a really bad feeling, I was in the midst of deciding if I should try to destroy the figure before the veins reached its brain or if I should not show any ill will in case that thing started to mirror .

"Fuck it." I approached the figure’s head and stomped on it, but the smooth surface didn’t budge.

The bloody red veins spread to the figure’s heart, remaining there for so ti before they continued to wander upward.

I wanted to conjure up my gun, but then I rembered—no guns and no knives, or everything could cause sparks.

I licked my lips, thinking about what I should do now, but the veins had already reached its brain.

There were a few seconds of silence in which I didn’t dare to breathe, like when watching a horror film where your gut told you sothing would jump out soon, yet you still hoped that the filmmakers had a bit of conscience and wouldn’t scare you to death.

My heart accelerated, mostly because I had no idea what I would have to deal with.

The next mont the figure rose upwards like a vampire exiting its coffin. I took a step back; it now stood across from , the veins all over its body giving off an eerie look.

"I an no harm, buddy..." I said, bending my knees to either try to fight or to run the fuck away.

The next second, that thing lunged at .

Fuck!

I dodged to the side before I sprang up again, watching as it slowly rose again.

It was apparently not mirroring .

Then what did it want?

Again, it lunged at , this ti faster.

After I dodged again, I didn’t stall anymore and ran out of the cave.

I saw the commander standing at the entrance holding sothing like a wooden knife in his hand.

"LOOK AFTER THE OTHERS, SEE YOU NEVER!" I yelled while running past him and picking up speed.

My feet flew over the ground, throughout this stunning landscape, the crunching sounds now much louder.

I heard the figure behind getting faster, coming closer with each passing second.

When I saw no trees in the way for the next few ters, I turned around to look at how close that thing had gotten, seeing the figure coming after with the commander latched onto his back, stabbing it repeatedly with the wooden knife.

What was he doing? That wooden knife didn’t do a thing to it!

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!"

I yelled back before I turned around and evaded a tree I had nearly run into because I was looking back longer than I had intended to.

He didn’t answer; screw him.

Nothing tallic, steel, iron, or anything that could cause sparks.

I had a wooden baseball bat I could go for.

I conjured it up, and when I found another clearing, a little open space with neither figures nor trees in the way, I ran across it.

Seeing a tree at the end of the clearing, I used it to jump and make a backflip. I managed to land securely, even though it had been a really risky stunt; however, I was ready to vomit yet again after that move.

The figure still ran toward , now at the beginning of the clearing, so I ran toward it, seeing how it finally threw the commander off.

When we were close to colliding, I jumped up, swinging my baseball bat, shattering my wooden weapon, and dislocating my shoulder because of the impact.

Landing, I saw that the figure had stopped, looking utterly unhard.

It lunged at , this ti too fast for to dodge, and the next second, I had a crystalline fist in my face. I felt my nose and cheekbone shatter, one of my eyes burst, and overall, I wasn’t in very good condition after this one punch.

Fuck, I really hate the crystalline world.

Definitely top three of my most hated worlds.
