Following the narrow draw against Hertha in match week 26, Leverkusen continued to struggle in match week 27. Schalke, despite having an abysmal season sitting dead last in the table, fought hard all ga, desperate to leave the BayArena with even a single point. Their deep defensive block frustrated Leverkusen for over an hour, with wave after wave of attacks breaking down against the relegation-threatened side’s massed defence.
Bosz had rotated again—Diaby, Bailey, and Alario started up front, with Wirtz orchestrating from midfield. But nothing worked, Schalke’s goalkeeper was inspired, making save after save, and the woodwork—again—denied Leverkusen twice in the first half alone. By the 70th minute, the scoreline remained stubbornly at 0-0, and the frustration was palpable.
Bosz had seen enough and made a double substitution, bringing on Rakim Rex and Patrik Schick for Bailey and Alario. The ssage to the two was clear: find a goal, no matter what.

The breakthrough finally ca in the 78th minute when Wirtz collected the ball in the centre circle, turning sharply away from Schalke’s pressing midfielder. He drove forward, drawing two defenders toward him, then slipped a pass wide to Rakim on the left flank.
The winger took one touch to control it, pushing it forward in a single motion, then exploded into life. His marker lunged in, trying to shepherd him wide, but Rakim feinted wide, dropped his shoulder, then nudged the ball through the players’ legs and cut inside with a burst of acceleration. The defender stumbled, trying to turn, but was unable to remain standing.
Another Schalke player slid across to cover, but the winger vaulted over him with the ball glued to his feet. His close control was impeccable as he dribbled at full speed into the box. He drew the centre back close, then cut onto his right past the player as the shooting angle opened.
The goalkeeper was off his line, and without hesitation, he curled a powerful shot away from the diving keeper. The ball flew through the air in a perfect parabola, curling past the outstretched fingertips and nestling into the far corner of the net.
"GOOOOOAL!" the comntator roared. "RAKIM REX! HE’S DONE IT AGAIN! A MONT OF BRILLIANCE! LEVERKUSEN FINALLY BREAK THROUGH!"

Schalke, desperate for an equaliser, threw more bodies forward. They won a corner in the 84th minute, and their entire team—including their goalkeeper—poured into Leverkusen’s box. The delivery was dangerous, curling toward the penalty spot, but Tapsoba rose highest, heading it clear.
The ball fell to Aránguiz on the edge of the box, and the Chilean imdiately launched a counter. He played it forward to Schick, who held it up brilliantly under pressure before flicking it through to Rakim on the left. The winger drove forward, cutting inside, charging into the empty space behind the two scrambling defenders trying to recover.
But once the teenager was gone, he was gone, and his legs carried him to the edge of the box with no one near him. It didn’t require much skill to slot the ball into the empty net, doubling his team’s lead. "GOOOOOAL!" the comntator exclaid. "Rakim makes it two, ending any hope !"

The fourth official raised his board, signalling three minutes of added ti. Leverkusen played keep-away, passing the ball around comfortably in Schalke’s half. The visitors stopped chasing, their energy completely spent, and the possibility of winning was over.
Wirtz received the ball near the halfway line and shielded it expertly, drawing a foul from the frustrated Schalke defender. The referee blew his whistle, ending the anticlimactic proceedings.

"It’s over!" the comntator announced. "Leverkusen secure all three points thanks to late goals from Rakim Rex! Not the most convincing performance by the league leader, but they get the job done. Three more points in the title race."

Peter Bosz sat before the assembled dia, his expression calm and asured. He didn’t have to wait long as the questions ca quickly in rapid fire.
Reporter: "Peter, another late winner. Is this becoming a pattern?"
Bosz shook his head in exasperation, seemingly asking himself the sa question. "We create chances. Sotis the ball goes in early, sotis late. Today it was late. What matters is that we found the goals when we needed them."
Another Reporter raised his hand before asking his question. "Rakim Rex has now scored in three consecutive matches coming off the bench. Is this part of the ga plan orplanned ?"
"Well, Rakim is a special player; he can create sothing from nothing in any ga." He paused for a mont before continuing his speech. "But we are a team and are just in a sluggish phase, but as long as we get results, we will go back to the drawing board."
"Dortmund is next in the Champions League. Are you confident?" Another reporter asked, moving away from the math.
Bosz leaned forward slightly, his eyes sharp. "We respect Dortmund. They are a top team with quality players. But we have beaten them before this season, and we can do it again. We are ready."

"Just sign here, and the trans action will be complete." Ditter Muller, the real estate agent who was in charge of the property’s sale, said, indicating the dotted line at the bottom of the contract.
Rakim didn’t need to think long as he signed on the contract with the bullpoint pen. "Thank you for your hard work." He said as they shook hands.
"Hahah, I should thank you, it was much easier to sell a property to those already living there than going out to find new owners," Muller said with a bright smile at the conclusion of a €1,590,000 sale, especially in a recession. "Since you’re officially buying, might I interest you in so of our company’s other services?"
"Like what? Don’t tell you also do landscaping services?" Rakim asked, setting the pen down in his high chair at the kitchen island.
"Well, that too, but we offer comprehensive property managent services all the way to security," Muller explained, pulling out a sleek folder from his briefcase. "Interior design consultations, security installations, landscaping, remodelling—anything to make this house truly yours. We work with so of the best contractors in Cologne."
Rakim glanced around the spacious living room of the Hahnwald villa he’d been renting for the better part of a year. The place was already comfortable, with May having decorated so of it when she felt like it, and his only contribution was the 150-inch Smart TV. Even if it was all fine, changing the look once a year will make it feel like new, so he didn’t see a reason not to do it.
Especially now that he owned it, they could actively change it to their hearts’ content. "We have our own security company incharge of our safety, so I’ll pass on that option." He said, unwilling to trust a company he wasn’t familiar with to be in charge of his and May’s security.
Still he continued to look at all the options that Muller & Wiese offered picking out a few he liked. "I like these options: Interior design, Comprehensive property maintenance, Electrical System Upgrades, Heating & Plumbing, and finally Landscaping & Fencing."
Muller, who had been ready to just walk away with his 10% commission after seeing Rkim reject the security options, was stunned. One could practically fit a raptor egg in his open mouth as he took a mont to process the euro’s rolling into his hands. "Though you will need to coordinate with my girlfriend and Rex Security for these plans."
His eyes glead with barely concealed excitent as he fumbled with his briefcase, pulling out additional folders. "Of course, of course! We can absolutely coordinate with Rex Security and your girlfriend. In fact, we prefer working with established security firms—it makes everything smoother."
He spread several brochures across the kitchen island, each showcasing different renovation projects his company had completed. "For the interior design, we have several consultants available. I’d recomnd Sabine Hoffmann—she specializes in...
