However, before she could react, Qiao Yu had kissed her on the mouth and started to undress her.
She had no idea how shocked and pleasantly surprised he was when he got back this afternoon to find her at home. It was as if he had found some long lost thing. He felt cured all of a sudden.
He didn’t know what changed her mind, but he was happy she did.
Although she hadn’t accepted him fully, she had already made huge progress by addressing Gao Wanhua as “mother” and weling him back the way a wife did.

A pleasant surprise?! Xia Ning leaned against the door as he deepened the kiss. Just like some nights before, he was trying to prove something. She wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kiss. Emotions could be so plicated sometimes.
She knew why he was happy. She had begun to accept this new life, accepting that she had a mother-in-law, a son, and even a husband. She was on her way to being a part of the family, or at least that was what he thought.
Yes, she liked his mother and their son and she indeed wanted to bee part of the family. She wanted to be happy and she wanted her loved ones to be happy too. She was content with this life, even if it was just a dream.
That was why she chose to accept it!
The temperature in the room seemed to be rising and on the bed, two bodies intertwined. They continued until well after midnight.
By the end of it, Xia Ning thought she was going to die. He was so demanding tonight and just kept going. She really wanted to sleep now. However, the man held her from behind all of a sudden and whispered in her ear. “Honey, let’s have another baby.”
Xia Ning’s eyelashes quivered and she kept her eyes shut without giving an answer.
Qiao Yu could tell she was exhausted. Wrapping his arms around her, he let her lie fortably against her. His eyes flickered when he put a hand on her belly. Maybe they were already having one.
Later, Qiao Yu carried Xia Ning back to the master bedroom. Lying there next to the mother and son, Qiao Yu felt plete. None of his ambitious plans seemed to matter anymore.
Xia Ning woke up the next morning to find her son sleeping next to her. She smiled, feeling content.
The place next to Enoch was empty. Qiao Yu was already up.
Getting out of bed, Xia Ning got dressed, washed her face and went into the corridor. She heard Qiao Yu and Gao Wanhua’s voices downstairs.
“After all, he’s your uncle. You should visit him in the hospital,” said Gao Wanhua.
Qiao Yu frowned. “Was my aunt here yesterday?”
Gao Wanhua nodded. “Yes. She wanted your help, but I refused.”
“Alright, I’ll go see him,” said Qiao Yu indifferently. He then picked up his suitcase and headed out.
Up in the second-floor corridor, Xia Ning’s eyes flickered. Was Shen Donglai in the hospital? How unlucky! Taking out her phone, she read the most recent news headlines and smiled.
Fu Yao had been trying to get her name on the headlines, hadn’t she? Well, her dream was going to bee true.
