Xia Ning stepped on the brakes and her eyes fell onto the black Bentley in front. She was extremely familiar with this car.
But why was he here? It was working hours now.
Xia Ning was silent for a while. She opened the door and got off.
The man in the car walked down as well.
“Did you not stay here last night?” Qiao Yu turned around and asked Xia Ning.
Xia Ning answered, “Yup, how long have you been here?”
“Just arrived.” Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning and asked, “Where did you live yesterday?”
“Yesterday…” Xia Ning was about to say she was staying at Jin Yan’s place when she remembered Zheng Ziming’s advice to her. If she said she was staying at Jin Yan’s place last night, he would think too much. She smiled suddenly. “I was planning to stay here yesterday but I suddenly realized the keys were in my other house. So I stayed there. I came back this morning to get something.”

“Why are you here today?” Xia Ning asked.

The two cars entered the villa one after another.
Xia Ning parked the car and went to open the door. Qiao Yu followed her into the hall.
“I haven’t been back in days. Let me see if there’s anything to drink.” Xia Ning threw her bag on the couch and went straight to the kitchen.

She rummaged in the fridge and found only two bottles of water. The rest of the drinks were expired and the coffee beans were gone.
After pouring a bottle of water for Qiao Yu, Xia Ning unscrewed the bottle and took a big gulp. She had a hearty breakfast so she was thirsty.
“Drink slowly,” Qiao Yu could not help but frown.
Xia Ning drank more than half of it before she stopped. She could not help but breathe out and looked happy. She looked at Qiao Yu. “Aren’t you going to work today?” She did not forget to unscrew the bottle cap and continued drinking.
“I happened to be free so I came to see you.” Qiao Yu darted a look at her hand and took the water from her hand. He frowned and said, “Don’t drink too much water at once. It’s not good for your stomach.”
“Oh,” Xia Ning answered slowly. She sat down and browsed through her phone.
Qiao Yu put the bottle on the coffee table and walked to Xia Ning’s side. He looked at the page she was reading. It was the latest topic on Weibo, “Stay tuned on Wednesday”.
“So you know?” Qiao Yu said suddenly.
Xia Ning opened the topic and said as she read, “Not long ago, Zheng Ziming called and told me. I don’t like to browse Weibo so I always know about these kinds of stuff late.”
Qiao Yu looked at Xia Ning’s cold side profile and saw her browsing through the ments. He suddenly straightened her body and made her look into his eyes.
“Don’t worry. I’ve asked someone to take care of this. You won’t be in a difficult position.”
