The young and handso waiter weaves between the guests, with soft saxophone music filling the entire restaurant.
The guiding waiter sees them and politely bows, leading the two into the restaurant hall.
Xiao Xiao walks beside Lin Junyang, gently tugging at his collar, "Lin Junyang, shouldn’t we go back and change clothes before coming?"
Because they were going to dance, Xiao Xiao is wearing shorts and a T-shirt, while Lin Junyang has on loose pants and a T-shirt. This kind of outfit is common for young people on the street, but seems a bit out of place in a French restaurant.
Passing two tables in a row, she notices that the n seated are all in formal attire. Even in this hot weather, their white shirts are ticulously buttoned.
The won, not to ntion, are clearly dressed up, with one even wearing a cocktail dress to dine.
Lin Junyang looks at Xiao Xiao with an expression as if she’s a fool, "Not hungry anymore? Let’s go, I don’t mind how you look."
With that, he places his arm around her shoulder, walking into the restaurant with her in tow.
Xiao Xiao notices people glancing at them and secretly rolls her eyes, it’s more like she’s not worried about his opinion; she hasn’t minded his casual deanor at all.
Fortunately, she is carefree enough not to be troubled by a few odd or disdainful looks, so she sits down in the booth, takes the nu, and looks at the pictures of the exquisite dishes and their jaw-dropping prices. She sticks out her tongue in reaction.
The food here is mostly priced in the thousands, even a simple appetizer doesn’t co in below the hundreds.
Xiao Xiao flips through the pages slowly but doesn’t order anything, finally looking at Lin Junyang, "Why don’t you decide, I’ll eat anything."
Lin Junyang sits leisurely in the booth, sipping his tea slowly, showing no sign of impatience.
"I promised to treat you, so choose what you like. The steak here is good; should we try it?"
"Alright," Xiao Xiao responds, and pushes the nu over decisively.
To be honest, even though Lin Junyang is treating her, she hasn’t tried a single dish here. Her mom mostly cooks Chinese, occasionally pasta or steak for Western dishes. In this setting, she’s a bit worried about embarrassing herself in front of Lin Junyang.
Lin Junyang takes the nu, casually flips two pages, and continues discussing with Xiao Xiao, "The pigeon foie gras is also good, and the roast suckling pig with porcini mushrooms, stewed French beans, oh and this red tomato fish sandwich..."
"Lin Junyang, that’s enough, there’s only two of us, you’re ordering too much," Xiao Xiao interrupts, pinning down his hand turning the pages.
Lin Junyang grins, "Hardly get a chance to eat sothing good, of course, we should go all out."
With that, Xiao Xiao doesn’t stop him anymore, just thinking he wants to eat. She’s experienced the Guard Team als, balanced in nutrition yet a bit bland; even she as a Southerner finds it hard to adjust, not to ntion Lin Junyang, a true Northerner.
"Here, this looks nice too, crab at fish roe, good for the brain, so certain people can stop being perpetually confused," he says while glancing at Xiao Xiao.
His enchanting eyes sparkle under the crystal light, yet his words are so annoying.
"Then we should order two portions, soone’s brain isn’t that great, needing a whole day to learn such a simple dance," Xiao Xiao retorts bluntly, pouting in mock anger, with a hint of coquettishness.
