At the waiting hall of the train station, An Ran saw Captain Li and his wife Sun Lufang from afar.
Captain Li was wearing an ordinary T-shirt, but his pants were still Guard Team uniform. He was standing there talking to Sun Lufang, not sure about what, with two large suitcases placed beside them, and a team mber following them, presumably there to see them off.
Before the two got closer, the team mber noticed them first and saluted Mu Xingfeng, "Captain Mu, Ma’am."
Mu Xingfeng nodded his head in acknowledgent, while Li Dajun was still patiently talking to Sun Lufang, "Lifang, listen to , you sit down first, once the train arrives, we can go ho."
Clearly dissatisfied with her current surroundings, Sun Lufang glanced nervously around, clutching Li Dajun tightly, "Dajun, they’re here to arrest again, I didn’t kill anyone, I didn’t."
"That’s right, you didn’t kill anyone, they’re not here to arrest you, they’re all passengers waiting for the train, don’t be afraid."
"Dajun, where’s Lele, where did Lele go? You lost Lele," Sun Lufang suddenly said, then began shouting towards the hall, "Lele, Lele—"
"Lifang, Lele isn’t lost, rember, Lele ran into your tummy, Lele is in your tummy," Li Dajun quickly grasped Sun Lufang’s hand, fearing she’d break free and rush into the crowd to find Li Lele.
Sun Lufang turned her head abruptly, her expression relaxing, as she sat down on a chair, staring at her belly, a soft look in her eyes as she lightly stroked her abdon, "Lele is in my tummy, Lele got tired and went into my tummy to sleep."
Seeing Sun Lufang calm down, Li Dajun then turned to give Mu Xingfeng a bitter smile, "Thank you both for coming to see us off, An. Now I’m transferring out, regardless of achievents, it’s all about age. I’ve been wanting to say so things to you for a long ti, just never had the chance. Lately, Lifang did sothing to let you down, I know those hurtful words of hers can’t just be forgiven with a re apology. Li Dajun finished speaking and looked over at Sun Lufang, seeing her bowing her head, continuously touching her belly, calling out for Lele, his eyes couldn’t help but redden slightly.
"Brother Li, what’s done is done, take good care of Sister-in-law Sun back ho."
Seeing Sun Lufang like this, any resentnt An Ran had before now lted away into sympathy for this poor woman.
In a little while, the train pulled into the station, and Mu Xingfeng and that team mber helped Li Dajun and Sun Lufang onto the train and settled them in before returning.
Mu Xingfeng stepped forward, holding his wife’s small hand, leading her out, as the team mber kept glancing at An Ran and the couple’s tightly held hands.
An Ran felt a gaze fixed on her, turned back to et the smiling face of that team mber, "It seems Ma’am doesn’t rember , I’m Qi Jinghui, the newly appointed captain of First Brigade in Area One."
Seeing An Ran looking at him, Qi Jinghui took the initiative to introduce himself.
Mu Xingfeng, without a word, playfully reached out to fix An Ran’s little head, wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and walked briskly out.
