Hearing the commotion outside, Mu Xingfeng sat up and checked the ti. It was already 3 AM. Who could it be at this hour?
Mu Xingfeng got out of bed, pushed open the bedroom door, and saw the little girl wearing his white shirt, carrying a bowl of noodles from the kitchen. The mont she saw him, it was like seeing a ghost.
"Ah—" An Ran scread in fright, and the bowl in her hand fell to the ground. The scorching hot broth splashed on the floor and onto her exposed legs.
"Damn," Mu Xingfeng cursed, swiftly rushing forward to scoop An Ran into his arms. He carried her to the bathroom and placed her on the sink, turning on the faucet.
"Are you a pig? Can’t even hold a bowl of noodles." Mu Xingfeng said coldly as he continuously rinsed An Ran’s scalded legs with cold water.
An Ran was also extrely frustrated. She didn’t expect Mu Xingfeng to co here. She was already a bit scared being alone at ho at this hour. When she ca out of the kitchen with the noodles and saw soone standing silently at the bedroom door, it really frightened her.
She grew up in the countryside with her grandmother. The nights in the countryside were very dark, and when her grandmother and other elderly folks chatted and told stories, they loved to share ghost stories, making An Ran afraid of the dark and ghosts from a young age.
The mont she saw Mu Xingfeng, she really thought she saw a ghost. Now that Mu Xingfeng yelled at her, she felt extrely wronged, but didn’t dare to make a sound.
Back then, she clearly wanted to return the keys to him, yet she ca here without a word, causing trouble for him as soon as she arrived. He must be really annoyed with her, right?
Mu Xingfeng rinsed An Ran’s legs with cold water for a while, knowing that girls shouldn’t be exposed to cold water for too long, then carried her back to the living room. Only then did he notice, the little girl’s big eyes were red like a little rabbit, filled with tears but holding back from falling.
This sight of An Ran made Mu Xingfeng’s heart feel like it was pricked by needles, hurting terribly.
"Does it hurt a lot?" Mu Xingfeng thought she was in pain from the scalding, leaned down and asked softly, his voice much gentler.
The man’s cold aura surrounded An Ran, making her a bit uneasy. She instinctively shrank back into the sofa and shook her head.
Seeing An Ran’s guarded look towards him, Mu Xingfeng couldn’t help but get angry. The air pressure around him dropped a few degrees, but he couldn’t bear to yell at her anymore. He just said with a cold face, "It’s a good thing that the noodle broth didn’t splash directly on your legs. I’ll apply so ointnt for you, it should be better by tomorrow."
As he spoke, he took out the burn ointnt from the dicine box and started applying it on An Ran. Well, at least the dicine he bought last ti finally ca into use.
Mu Xingfeng frowned as he watched the mottled red spots on An Ran’s legs from the broth. Fortunately, the broth splashed on the ground and splattered onto her legs. If it had splashed directly on her legs, her beautiful long legs might have been ruined.
Was he really that scary, to scare her like this just by seeing him?
An Ran remained silent the entire ti because she really didn’t know what to say. The low air pressure around Mu Xingfeng reminded her that Instructor Mu was very angry now. She was afraid that speaking up would only make things worse.
The slightly calloused large hand gently applied ointnt to the reddish spots on her legs. It was a bit itchy, but no longer as painful.
Mu Xingfeng, though angry and dressed in casual ho clothes, didn’t lose any of his distinguished aura.
At this mont, he knelt by the sofa, his handso eyebrows tinged with seriousness, his sexy thin lips tightly pressed together.
