He wandered around the room twice but felt there was nothing to do. Cook himself a al? He wouldn’t. Going out to eat alone didn’t appeal to him, so he simply settled down to watch TV with an empty stomach, figuring the little girl would cook sothing when she returned.
For the first ti, Mu Xingfeng felt how sweet it was to wait for soone. Just the thought that she would soon appear before him filled him with imnse anticipation and a sense of fulfillnt.
He had never known that he, too, could be like a young boy, eagerly wanting to see soone. He could not have imagined that one day, his heart would be completely taken over by a girl.
He was called the Cold-faced Yama because everyone felt his entire being emitted an icy aura from inside out, showing no trace of emotion.
Even his mother and sister thought there was sothing wrong with him because of this. Especially in how he treated girls, his coldness and aversion towards them once led his sister to suspect there was sothing off about his sexual orientation.
Now he clearly understood that there wasn’t anything wrong with him; he just hadn’t t soone he cared about.
Ever since eting An Ran, he learned what a heartbeat felt like, learned what longing was. All those deep-seated, primal emotions were all brought out in the presence of An Ran, clamoring within him, driving him to obtain her at any cost. Yet his rationality told him he couldn’t hurt her anymore, couldn’t force her anymore. This internal conflict was sothing he oddly enjoyed.
Inside Hacker Bar, An Sijia and a few classmates sat in the corner of the bar, swaying their hips to the music and clinking their glasses.
"Sijia, you’re really sothing, managing to get your hands on the VIP invite to Young Master Lu’s party. Co on, tell us, what’s your relationship with him?" A girl with bright red lipstick leaned towards An Sijia and said.
An Sijia’s lips curved into a aningful smile, with a hint of shyness, as she looked at the swaying wine glass in her hand. "Jiali, you’re joking. There’s really not much of a relationship."
"Oh, getting shy now. Just look, our Sijia is blushing! Not much of a relationship? Then why so shy?" Jiali teased An Sijia upon seeing her reaction.
"Yeah, Sijia, if you really beca the young madam of the Lu Family, you better not forget us," another girl quickly added.
"Actually, I am most curious about what Young Master Lu looks like. I heard he rarely appears in the dia, always been a mysterious figure."
The girls chattered away, filling An Sijia with vanity and a burning jealousy. Suddenly, a familiar figure passed by in front of her.
"An Ran," An Sijia murmured.
"What?" Jiali looked up and asked.
"Nothing," An Sijia waved her hand. "You guys keep playing. I saw a familiar face, I’m going to say hi."
With that, she put down her glass and squeezed through the crowd to An Ran.
"An Ran."
An Ran was promoting drinks to a guest. Hearing her na, she turned and saw An Sijia, furrowing her brows slightly before continuing to promote the drinks.
An Sijia didn’t mind, crossing her arms and quietly watching her from behind.
At first, she thought she was seeing things, seeing An Ran here with that sa attire. After all, An Ran rarely wore hotpants before. Now, seeing her in person, the burning jealousy in her heart gradually ebbed away.
