Feng Jingjing kept an eye on Lin Ruonan’s expression as she spoke, and she saw Lin Ruonan’s brows knit slightly when she reached the end of her sentence.

Her head throbbed painfully, yet there was no real answer for her.
Suddenly, a deep voice sounded, and a black coat was draped over her shoulders. Looking sideways, she saw Gu Haoyu’s deep, dark eyes.
"Brother," Lin Ruonan whispered softly.
Gu Haoyu’s brows knitted slightly. He had been watching her all along, seeing her lonely figure sitting in the corner, knowing it was because Mu Xingfeng hadn’t attended the party.
But what could he do? At the Blue Sea and Sky, he had heard clearly the words Mu Xingfeng said to Lin Ruonan on the balcony. He had thought she could give up, could let go, but he was wrong. How could a love that had lasted nearly twenty years be so easily abandoned?
Just like himself. If he were told to let go of these feelings, he probably wouldn’t be able to do it either.
Seeing Feng Jingjing approach her, his heart relaxed a bit. It was good that soone could talk to her. Whatever they talked about, it was better than her thinking alone.

In this open balcony, Lin Ruonan was in her evening gown, seemingly unaffected by the cold winter night.
Hearing Lin Ruonan call him "Brother" in a faint and distant tone, his heart felt stifled.
