Mu Xingfeng felt a mont of regret when he picked up An Ran, regretting his lack of principles. But hearing her soft voice, he suddenly felt that pampering her occasionally wasn’t such a bad thing after all. After all, a wife is soone to be cherished.
Still, he felt sothing was amiss. For a mont, his mind couldn’t quite turn around, completely captivated by the small thing in his arms.
Gu Haoyu returned to the villa after running a lap. Seeing a figure in the window of the second-floor bedroom from afar, his steps quickened.
"Sir, you’re back. Breakfast is ready," the servant said respectfully as she saw Gu Haoyu return from his morning run.
"Hmm," Gu Haoyu responded and went straight to the second floor.
Gently pushing open the door, he saw Lin Ruonan still standing by the window, now wearing the clothes prepared by the servant in the morning, indicating she’d been awake for a while.
It’s no wonder. Lin Ruonan had been in the military for a long ti and had already developed good living habits. Even if she was hungover from last night, she wouldn’t linger in bed.
"You’re up. How are you feeling?" Gu Haoyu asked casually, standing beside her.
Lin Ruonan only then realized when Gu Haoyu arrived beside her.
Seeing Gu Haoyu at that mont brought an unnatural expression to her face.
Just waking up and realizing she wasn’t in her own room, and seeing she was still wearing a man’s shirt, she felt completely bewildered.
Her head hurt faintly, only rembering she’d drunk a lot last night.
The servant bringing clothes helped her realize it was Brother Gu Haoyu’s ho. He didn’t take her back to the Lin Family after they drank too much but brought her directly to his villa.
Knowing it was all Gu Haoyu’s doing, her heart inexplicably settled.
Whether she drank too much with Brother or wore his shirt and slept in his bed, Lin Ruonan felt, as long as it was Brother, her heart would inexplicably be at ease. It was a kind of trust from the bottom of her heart.
She knew Brother wouldn’t do anything inappropriate nor hurt her.
Still, even so, thinking about how they drank themselves into oblivion together and he took her to his ho and she slept in his bedroom wearing his shirt, she couldn’t help but blush.
"I’m fine now, thanks Brother," Lin Ruonan said, casually tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"Good that you’re fine, let’s go downstairs to eat." Seeing her discomfort, Gu Haoyu turned and went downstairs after speaking.
Watching Gu Haoyu leave, Lin Ruonan sighed softly and turned to look out the window again.
Just now, she saw a man holding a girl passing by the front door.
She never knew that the man, who was always cold to the point of being indifferent, could have such a considerate side. The girl in his arms must be very happy, right?

Mu Xingfeng carried An Ran back to the villa. Liu Hu was wiping the car in the yard, looking at the two of them in confusion, glancing at his watch. They were out for less than thirty minutes, why co back so soon?
"Boss, Miss An is injured? Should we go to the hospital?" Liu Hu asked.
"Which eye did you see her being injured?" Mu Xingfeng felt annoyed, mainly because he’d planned to train this girl well, but repeatedly broke his own principles, which made him increasingly frustrated.
He’s not soone easily swayed by others’ emotions, but this girl made him lose control several tis, which felt very foreign and uncomfortable for him.
"Why carry her if she’s not injured?" Liu Hu muttered, completely oblivious to his boss’s annoyance.
