An Ran scrutinized the four girls. The cabin had been too dark earlier, and she hadn’t seen their attire.
Looking at them now, aside from one dressed plainly, the other three’s clothes, though sowhat dirty, indicated that their families were well-off.
She wondered how they had ended up in these people’s hands.
"Hey, ladies, can anyone help untie ?"
An Ran called out softly. The four appeared listless, but their hands and feet weren’t bound.
The two dazed girls didn’t even glance at her upon hearing her, while the two crying ones rely looked before continuing to sob quietly, none of them stepped forward to help.
"Shut up," An Ran snapped, irritated by their resigned attitude. "What’s the use of crying? Do you think crying will get us out?"
The two girls stopped crying. One of them whispered, "Then what should we do? Will not crying get us out?"
An Ran sighed, exasperated. "Can’t you think of a way? Co over here and help untie ."
"What way? We’ve been here for four or five days. No one has escaped. You’d better untie it yourself. I’m afraid they’ll beat if they find out."
"Damn," An Ran cursed outright, it’s truly the worst to have teammates like these no matter how great the enemy. What wrong did she do to end up with such useless companions?
"You, co here, help untie ." She addressed another girl, who straight-up started crying again.
Feeling helpless, An Ran began trying to free herself while asking, "You’ve been here four or five days, do you know why they caught you?"
The crying girl shook her head. "They only said they wanted us to cooperate, said sothing about being mules. I’ve never done heavy work. I definitely can’t be a mule."
An Ran’s heart sank. The girl didn’t know what being a mule ant, but Mu Xingfeng had ntioned it to her. So drug traffickers used humans to smuggle drugs, commonly referred to as "human mules."
It seed they weren’t just dealing with traffickers but drug dealers.
Then, voices could be heard from next door, sounding like that man called Brother Bin.
"Shut up," An Ran hissed at the girls to stop crying, listening to Brother Bin say, "Brother Dong, the people are in the next room."
Then ca another man’s deep voice, "Bring to see them."
Footsteps approached, the door opened from outside, and a grim man in a black shirt walked in, followed closely by Brother Bin.
"Which one is last night’s cargo?" the man asked, his gaze fixed on An Ran, his cold, sinister eyes exuding a hint of admiration.
Brother Bin stepped forward, pointing at An Ran, "This one, a student from Nan University. We haven’t touched her. Maybe she’s still a virgin."
He had learned to gauge Brother Dong’s reactions over the years as he stayed by his side.
