Just as he was about to continue, a small hand stopped him in the middle, "I’m really hungry, I’ll go make dinner."
With that, An Ran escaped from Mu Xingfeng’s embrace.
The scariest thing is a man you haven’t seen in a while, even just a kiss left An Ran feeling the man’s loss of control and physical reaction.
She still hadn’t had lunch yet, she couldn’t withstand his tornt.
Mu Xingfeng looked at his empty arms, chuckled lowly, and turned to follow her out.
"I thought I wouldn’t get dinner tonight. Seeing how upset my wife was just now, I really need to learn so cooking skills. Just in case my wife gets angry one day, so at least I won’t go hungry."
An Ran was rummaging through the fridge when she heard Mu Xingfeng’s words, and turned her head, "Mu Xingfeng, you just said you didn’t want to make angry, and now you’re thinking about your back-up plan? Shouldn’t you think about how to make happy when I’m mad? You’re still thinking about filling your stomach, do you believe I’ll let you starve right now?"
Mu Xingfeng smiled as he took the ingredients she handed over, denying, "No, no, I want to learn how to cook well not for my own stomach, but because I’m afraid you’ll be hungry if you get mad."
"Excuses, I’m already full from being angry, why would I need to eat?" An Ran rolled her eyes at him and put the ingredients on the dining table.
Mu Xingfeng listened to his wife’s complaints and received a solid eye-roll, which actually lifted his spirits.
Having her in his life simply made his world more colorful.
"Let’s have hot pot today. When I was at the mall today, I slled the hot pot and it was so fragrant that I almost couldn’t move away." An Ran suggested while sorting out the ingredients.
"Whatever you want, if it slled so good, why didn’t you eat it? My wife doesn’t seem like soone who can resist temptation." Mu Xingfeng rolled up his sleeves and started sorting the vegetables with her.
"I wanted to eat it, but sothing ruined my appetite, so I skipped a al." An Ran pouted with her cherry-blossom-like lips.
"Tell hubby what happened," No wonder his wife was acting out of the ordinary today. Even when she ran into An Sijia before, she didn’t react this strongly. It turned out sothing else had happened earlier.
"Forget it, I won’t talk about it. I’m afraid if I do, we’ll miss another al."
Since Mu Xingfeng had already promised her he would keep his distance from Wang Xia and her son, An Ran didn’t want to bring it up again. Wang Xia wasn’t likely to stir up any major trouble anyway.
As An Ran didn’t want to talk about it, Mu Xingfeng didn’t press further, and brought the sorted veggies to the kitchen.
Seeing that An Ran had turned on the tap first, Mu Xingfeng directly grabbed her small hand that was about to put the veggies in, "The water is cold, let do it."
He still rembered Jing Xiangyang’s dical advice about avoiding cold during that ti of the month.
An Ran was stunned for a mont, then understood Mu Xingfeng’s intention, causing her ears to redden with embarrassnt, and softly said, "My period has already ended."
"That still won’t do. When I’m ho, I’ll handle these tasks. Girls should avoid the cold," Mu Xingfeng insisted as he started washing the veggies.
An Ran’s heart felt completely full. She tiptoed and leaned in to plant a kiss on the man’s handso face before running off happily, "I’ll go prepare the hot pot base."
Mu Xingfeng didn’t expect her to kiss him first. The warm and soft sensation on his cheek lted his heart. Watching her bouncing away, he continued washing the veggies with a deep sense of tenderness he didn’t even realize.
