When Mu Xingfeng ca back from grocery shopping, he knew the little one had been waiting eagerly. She probably heard the sound of him taking out the keys, and before the key even touched the lock, the door was opened from the inside.
"Mu Xingfeng, why are you so late?" An Ran complained, reaching out to take the bags from his hand.
"Couldn’t wait any longer?"
Mu Xingfeng handed her the bag with snacks and ice cream, thinking she was impatient to eat the ice cream. The bag with vegetables and at was a bit heavy, so he didn’t pass it to her, just holding it as he changed his shoes.
An Ran didn’t try to take the bag from his hand again. She turned around and ran to the fridge, put the ice cream and snacks inside, then followed Mu Xingfeng into the kitchen.
"I was anxious, it’s so hot outside, yet you insisted on going to the market. Look at you, your head’s all sweaty and your clothes are soaked. Go take a shower, I’ll cook."
Only then did Mu Xingfeng realize that An Ran wasn’t eager to eat her ice cream, she was worried he’d been out for too long and got overheated.
He turned around and kissed the corner of her lips. The little girl had just showered, her hair not yet dry, with a faint lemon scent and the sll of lavender body wash on her, fragrant and sweet, very pleasant.
"This kind of heat is nothing for . You take your ti, I’ll go shower and change clothes, then you can direct , and your husband will do the cooking."
This sort of heat was indeed nothing to him. These days, they had been training in the wilderness, deep in the mountains. Once the sun ca out, the whole forest turned into a steam room, and they still had to conduct various skill trainings in such an environnt. Just going out for groceries wasn’t a big deal, he wasn’t that delicate.
However, the sweat on his body was quite uncomfortable.
An Ran waved him off and casually tied her hair up, starting to prepare the vegetables.
Mu Xingfeng moved quickly, and in about five minutes, he was fresh and back in the kitchen, taking the vegetables An Ran had prepared and washing them under the water. "Weren’t you going to eat ice cream? Go ahead and have so, I’ll handle this. Later you just need to tell what to do."
He wanted to spoil his little wife, to give her the best. However, as part of the Guard Team, he often wouldn’t see anyone for ten days or half a month. This ti it was nearly a month. Now that they were finally together, he just wanted to make it up to his little wife as much as possible.

An Ran finished with the last piece of lettuce, rinsed her hands under the faucet, then kissed Mu Xingfeng’s cheek, "Thank you, Instructor Mu."
If you had asked An Ran the taste of longing before she t Mu Xingfeng, she would probably use those flowery words from books to paint a very colorful picture. But now, should you ask her this question, she’d tell you without hesitation and very frankly, the taste of longing is just wanting to see that person every mont, simply looking at him would be enough.
So at tis like this, without Mu Xingfeng saying so, An Ran would still eagerly watch him from the side.
An Ran opened the fridge, looking through the bags inside, and found that Mu Xingfeng had bought her one of each flavor of ice cream, all from famous brands, though different in taste but sharing one commonality.
When it cos to food, An Ran has never paid much attention to these things, especially for a foodie, street stalls are a foodie’s paradise.
