"Honey, I’m often away with the team all year round. You need to know how to take care of yourself. You have had nstrual pain issues before, and if you don’t take care of yourself now, it might get as painful as before. What will you do if I’m not around?"
As he spoke, Mu Xingfeng pulled her into his embrace, "Darling, be good and listen. Seeing you like this pains ."
An Ran was held close by Mu Xingfeng, her head resting against his chest. His strong and powerful heartbeat resonated through his chest to her ears, incredibly strong, even his deep voice ca through his chest to her ears.
The words "seeing you like this pains " made her truly feel it, as if Mu Xingfeng’s heart was trembling slightly.
She stretched out her arms to wrap around Mu Xingfeng’s waist, pressing her head closer, "I’m sorry, darling. I won’t be unreasonable in the future. I’ll take good care of myself."
Even though she thought eating so ice cream two days after her period wasn’t a big deal, and she’s done it often before, she decided she won’t do it anymore to keep him from feeling distressed.
His distress was far more painful than her physical pain.
With An Ran’s promise, Mu Xingfeng held her for a while longer then went out to make her a cup of brown sugar water and placed it by her bedside, "Lie in bed for a while. Drink it while it’s warm. I’m going to make dinner."
An Ran propped herself up on her elbow, teasingly looking at him, "Are you sure the food will be edible without my supervision?"
"You little brat, don’t underestimate your husband. Just wait and see."
The ribs were already stewing; he could manage frying so vegetables.
In the middle of the night, it started to rain lightly. The pattering of the rain woke An Ran from her sleep. Listening to the rain outside, An Ran sighed, thinking how hard it was for Mu Xingfeng to plan a trip for them, only to be ruined by the weather.
But looking at the man peacefully asleep beside her, she found that even staying together at ho like this was sweet.
He must have been exhausted from training lately; usually a light sleeper, he wasn’t awoken by the rain tonight.
Mu Xingfeng wasn’t like so n who snore thunderously once asleep, being loud enough to sleep through a storm. Instead, he always slept quietly, with only his steady breathing audible, and his sleeping posture was always proper, unlike her, who could roll around the entire bed.
At this mont, he held her in his sleep, his strong arm gently resting on her waist in an utterly possessive manner.
An Ran gently shifted her body to find a more comfortable position in his arms and then closed her eyes.
When she opened her eyes again, the sun was shining brightly. Truly, June weather, rain cos and goes as it pleases.
Mu Xingfeng had already gotten up, packing his bag by the closet. Seeing An Ran awake, he first glanced at the clock on the table, "Did I wake you? It’s still early. You can go back to sleep."
An Ran shook her head, wrapping herself in a blanket as she sat up, looking at the man on the floor.
Mu Xingfeng knew this little girl was still groggy, watching her blink her big eyes in confusion, staring at him intently, his heart felt like it was wrapped in cotton candy, sweet and soft.
Hardly hesitating, he walked over, kissed her on her confused big eyes, and ruffled her ssy hair.
And that ruffling finally brought her to full consciousness.
She shook her little head.
"Mu Xingfeng, when are we leaving?"
Seeing that the weather was clear, thinking they could still go out today, An Ran was eager to get going.
