"Grumble, grumble," the sound from her stomach beca more frequent. Finally, Mu Xingfeng sighed, "Wait here. I’ll see if there’s sothing suitable for you to eat."
As he spoke, he stood up and opened the al Zhang Liang had brought for him.
It was a box of porridge and a boxed al that he had specially asked for. The boxed al was simple: two dishes, one at, and one vegetable. The at was beef, and the vegetable was green pepper, neither of which was suitable for An Ran in her current state.
Slling the fragrance of the rice in the air, An Ran gulped, her eyes shining brightly as she stared at the boxed al in Mu Xingfeng’s hand, "Honey, just one box seems a little too little, doesn’t it?"
She felt like she could eat at least two, if not three, boxes.
Mu Xingfeng knew the little girl was really starving. He had never seen her this eager before. It was obvious that the food in the mountains wasn’t good.
Under the undisguised gaze of his wife, Mu Xingfeng closed the box again, "These aren’t suitable for you. Be good and take a nap, and I’ll go out to buy you so food."
"It’s really no trouble. Even just plain rice would be fine right now," An Ran felt that slling the rice without being able to eat it was nothing short of torture.
"Be good and listen. Close your eyes, and don’t move your hands around. I’ll be back soon," Mu Xingfeng adjusted her arm again to make sure the IV line was smooth before leaving the room.
Zhang Liang had been waiting outside the door. Seeing Mu Xingfeng co out, he stood up, "Young Master Mu."
"Keep an eye on her. I’ll be out for a bit," The wet clothes An Ran had on before couldn’t be worn again. Even though she was now in a nurse’s uniform, he didn’t like seeing her in it, and he knew his little girl loved elegance and had a cleanliness obsession. He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable.
"Yes, don’t worry, Young Master Mu. I’ll keep watch over Miss An," Zhang Liang said.
With Zhang Liang’s assurance, Mu Xingfeng left and found a nearby ho-style restaurant to order two dishes and a soup. While waiting for the food, he took a stroll around the adjacent shopping mall.
At eight o’clock in the small town, the streets were already sowhat desolate. Although the mall hadn’t closed yet, there were few custors.
The sales staff either chatted in pairs or listlessly waited for the end of their shifts. However, when Mu Xingfeng stepped into the mall, a dozen pairs of eyes all glanced over at him.
"Hey, look, a mber of the Guard Team has arrived."
"Do we even have guard mbers around here? From the way this person looks, it doesn’t seem like he’s visiting family."
"Isn’t that obvious? Who dresses like that to visit family? But honestly, that outfit is really cool."
"Not only the outfit, but the person looks cool too. Could he be an actor? Is there a film being shot near us?"
"Probably is. Doesn’t he look like the lead actor in ’Wolf Warrior’?"
"Co on, ’Wolf Warrior’s’ lead isn’t as handso as him. Plus, that lead is short, and this person is at least one-eighty, okay?"
...
Mu Xingfeng ignored the noisy chatter of the won and walked straight to the won’s clothing section.
The sales assistant at the won’s clothing counter eagerly approached him, "Sir, is there anything I can help you with?"
Mu Xingfeng scanned the won’s clothing on display. They couldn’t compare to those in the Imperial City or even those in the Nan’an City mall. The styles were outdated, and even the fabric wasn’t to his taste.
In the end, he pointed at a white cotton dress, "Get one in size S."
The sales assistant made out the bill for him, but Mu Xingfeng didn’t rush to pay. He turned to the lingerie section and pointed to a pink bra set, giving a size.
