But he overlooked the fact that he was also everything to his sister and her only support.
She glanced at the clock on the wall, it was four in the afternoon, and the weather outside should not be too hot anymore. An Ran pondered whether to go out to buy so groceries, mainly because her snacks were running low.

Although she didn’t know who this woman was, outside of military family mbers, ordinary outsiders couldn’t enter the Guard Team’s compound.
Considering the woman opened by asking about Captain Mu, An Ran thought she must be the family mber of so officer.

The woman asked with a smile while sizing up An Ran.
"No, I’m Mu Xingfeng’s wife. Are you looking for him? His phone should be reachable these days. If there’s anything urgent, you can call him."
An Ran, unfamiliar with matters concerning the Guard Team compound, worried upon seeing soone co to their ho.
The woman’s smile faded slightly upon hearing her first sentence, while her eyes showed a more cautious expression.
An Ran was wearing only shorts and a simple T-shirt at ho, her bangs still tied atop her head, yet today she gathered them into a small bun, her palm-sized face bare without makeup, with her dark, clear eyes.

Saying this, Xiaoyu lifted the bag in her hand and stepped into the house.
Seeing the high-end furniture, branded electronics, and the small classy refrigerator in Mu Xingfeng’s ho, a trace of astonishnt flickered in Xiaoyu’s eyes.
