Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right? Chapter 927 - 376: Love Set on Ye Jinyan, a Windfall of 50 M
"You might find the latter part of this statent hard to believe, but you’ll understand soon enough!"
Ye Jinyan paused for a mont, then blinked her beautiful eyes: "Although your words sound a bit boastful, I’ll trust you for now because of your previous achievents."
"But you still need to think it over. One day in the future... you might have to marry ?"
Zhang Jingdong instantly felt a tightness in his chest, but he quickly thought of a rough solution, and he was already sowhat overwheld.
So he directly nodded: "This... no problem!"
Upon hearing this, a trace of unconcealable joy flashed in Ye Jinyan’s eyes: "Alright, since you agreed to this, then... I’ll honor my bet!"
"...Follow ."
Zhang Jingdong sensed Ye Jinyan’s determination and promptly followed her to her boudoir.
Her boudoir was large, even larger than Yan Ning’s, spanning over 100 square ters!
On the left side of the entrance was a workspace, with a large bookshelf against the wall, and a simple, antique desk beside it.
Then, in the room’s center, there was a large bed; further inside was an elegant chaise lounge and finally, a very beautiful guzheng on the balcony.
But the most impressive feature of the room was the floor-to-ceiling window spanning the entire side of the balcony.
It felt as if this room was interconnected with West Lake, making it seem like West Lake was the living room of this space.
The atmosphere was truly magnificent!
Zhang Jingdong, initially anxious, gradually cald down upon entering, admiring Ye Jinyan’s taste as a wealthy heiress.
He approached the bookshelf first, simultaneously comnting and browsing the books: "This is impressive; you moved the study into the bedroom."
Though Ye Jinyan was prepared for what might happen with Zhang Jingdong, she couldn’t help but feel so inner conflict, as this was indeed a significant mont in her life.
She had already acknowledged Zhang Jingdong’s abilities and talents, but it had only been less than a week since their first eting until bringing him to her boudoir.
The pace of everything was simply too fast!
Even though she had never been one to follow traditions in business, her upbringing was rooted in a wealthy family with strict traditional values; tonight’s actions were, in so ways, a major breach of family rules.
Most importantly, she still had no clear understanding of Zhang Jingdong until now.
Seeing Zhang Jingdong not acting impulsively made her slightly relieved, and it also raised her impression of him sowhat.
She admitted truthfully, "I don’t know why, but I could never focus when reading in the study; however, in the bedroom, I read with great interest, so I simply incorporated a small study into my bedroom."
At this mont, Zhang Jingdong noticed "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" on the third shelf and casually remarked, "I didn’t expect you’d read Jin Yong’s martial arts novels."
Ye Jinyan pursed her lips: "Previously, it was said that n prefer Jin Yong and won prefer Qiongyao. I’ve never felt anything towards Qiongyao’s works but found Jin Yong’s novels interesting instead."
Zhang Jingdong calmly asked, "Out of all the male protagonists in Jin Yong’s novels, who’s your favorite?"
"If we talk solely about preference... naturally, it’s Yang Guo."
"But if you had to choose soone to marry, who would it be?"
Ye Jinyan considered seriously and replied, "...Qiao Feng."
"Qiao Feng?" Zhang Jingdong chuckled: "Why? I thought you might choose Guo Jing."
"Guo Jing is too dull, while Qiao Feng has both heroic qualities and romantic traits. The key is his imnse sense of responsibility."
Zhang Jingdong nodded with sincere agreent: "Indeed."
Ye Jinyan then turned her gaze to Zhang Jingdong: "What about you? Out of all the female protagonists in Jin Yong’s novels, who’s your favorite?"
Zhang Jingdong almost instantly replied, "Ren Yingying."
Ye Jinyan’s eyes first revealed a flash of surprise, quickly followed by a hint of nervousness: "And if you had to marry one, who would you choose?"
Zhang Jingdong remained unwavering: "Still Ren Yingying."
A sweet smile appeared on Ye Jinyan’s lips: "Why?"
Zhang Jingdong sincerely explained, "Marrying other won might an you have to stay with her alone for a lifeti, with almost nothing else in life."
"But if you marry Ren Yingying, life remains rich in content; she can stand up to challenges alone for you and also retreat with you into solitude, living in harmony."
Ye Jinyan was thoroughly delighted because, among all Jin Yong’s novels, she admired two female characters the most: Zhao Min and Ren Yingying. She intrinsically felt that Ren Yingying resembled herself more.
She could discern that Zhang Jingdong’s answer was genuine, as he couldn’t have known her preferences beforehand to intentionally please her.
As she secretly rejoiced, Zhang Jingdong suddenly noticed the hardcover illustrated edition of "The Golden Lotus" on the fifth shelf.
He initially thought he was mistaken but, upon careful inspection, confird it was indeed the "The Golden Lotus" by Lanling Xiaoxiao Sheng that he had read in the past.
With a hint of amusent, he reached out and pulled the book down.
Turning to Ye Jinyan, he provocatively said, "Your taste in books is quite varied, even including such profound novels!"
