A handful of Compound V pills, exactly fifty-six in total.
"What is this stuff?" Hunter asked warily. He had developed a phantom pain towards the bizarre items Li Yu kept pulling out of nowhere.
"Good stuff that can make you stronger..." Li Yu said sincerely. "Want to try one?"
"Make stronger?" Hunter's expression filled with suspicion. He pondered for a mont before turning his head. "Li Ping, your Mr. Li Yu has sothing good for you to eat."
Li Yu was sowhat speechless. He just wanted soone to test the drug. There was a high probability that this thing had no risks, but given his track record, it made sense that Hunter would shift the risk to soone else.
Li Ping looked over with an expectant gaze. Li Yu thought about it and casually tossed him a Blue Little Pill.
Li Ping did not hesitate at all. Filled with excitent and reverence, he imdiately swallowed it without even drinking water.
Not long after swallowing it, Li Ping's entire body began to twitch. He possessed no actual strength to begin with, having just been an ordinary salesman.
He collapsed to the ground, clenching his jaw tightly, yet he stubbornly refused to let out a single wail.
"Damn, what the hell is that?" Hunter jumped in fright, quickly instructing Claptrap to bring out various Ergency dical Equipnt to monitor Li Ping's vitals.
"What in the world is that thing?" Hunter rejoiced, grateful that he hadn't eaten it himself.
"I... I'm... fine..." Li Ping forced out a few words. "It's not the pill's fault. It's my own problem."
Hunter's eye twitched. The guy was about to seize to death, yet he was still defending Li Yu. What a loyal servant.
As the twitching intensified, his muscles began to bulge as if inflated. His entire body expanded, and his bulging muscles looked as hard as refined steel.
"He's not going to turn into so freakish monster, is he..." Hunter took a step back, looking extrely cautious.
After another mont, Li Ping looked completely different. His entire body had grown almost twice as tall, covered from head to toe in ferocious, terrifying muscles, looking incredibly macho.
But soon after, the bulging muscles across his body subsided, and the original Li Ping returned.
"I feel better now than I ever have..." Li Ping clenched his fists, looking at Li Yu with tears in his eyes.
"Put so clothes on first..." Li Yu winced at the eye-searing sight.
"A Transformation Ability..." Hunter's eyes widened, filled with sheer astonishnt.
Li Ping hadn't possessed any Superpower before. Could it be that pill...
Hunter swallowed hard, staring at the Blue Little Pill in Li Yu's hand. Even though he acted indifferent after having his extra Gene Chain extracted, that wasn't entirely true.
Who wouldn't miss the feeling of possessing power? Although his Gene Chain had been removed, he could still opt for Cybernetic Enhancent.
However, undergoing Cybernetic Enhancent would strip away his sensory pleasures, a sacrifice many lifeforms simply could not accept.
Acquiring a Superpower was another way to grow stronger. While many abilities were only awakened innately, artificial activation wasn't impossible; however, such thods were guarded as the strictest secrets by the Major Civilizations.
Yet now, the tiny pill in Li Yu's hand actually possessed this very function.
"Mr... Li Yu?" Hunter approached with a shaless, fawning smile.
"Your Excellency... Li Yu?"
"Master... Li Yu!?" Hunter said through gritted teeth.
"Scram, stop disgusting ." Li Yu couldn't help but shudder. Could anyone imagine how creepy it was to have an old geezer in his forties or fifties calling them 'Master'?
A blue pill dropped into Hunter's hand. He happily scurried to the side, grabbed a cup of water, and prepared to welco his very own Superpower.
Li Yu also tilted his head back and swallowed a Compound V pill. Unlike Li Ping's relentless convulsions, Li Yu, who already had a formidable foundation, could clearly feel a thrilling sensation radiating from within his physical body.
An inexplicable feeling surged from the depths of his body, much like an afterglow—leaving him feeling both excited and hollow.
"Fuck..." From the other side, Hunter let out an angry curse. At his spot, only a pile of clothes remained. His entire body had vanished without a trace.
"A useless Superpower... what a load of crap..." Hunter muttered curses, thoroughly disappointed.
Ability Awakening was highly randomized. Not all abilities brought imnse strength; there were many useless ones as well.
"Invisibility... that's not bad..." Li Yu's expression was odd. To a certain extent, this kind of Superpower was quite popular.
"What's the use of simple invisibility? A single thermal scan and I'm totally exposed." Hunter gradually reappeared, his face showing a hint of hesitation. "It's not like I can just go and implant a layer of Mimicry Skin."
"What about your Superpower?" Hunter asked expectantly, hoping to find a bit of comfort in Li Yu's result.
Suddenly, a violent tremor erupted from outside. The deafening roar echoed like thunder in their ears, indicating it was extrely close. Hunter's expression changed slightly.
The Warehouse where their Spaceship was parked was located in a relatively remote area of the Camp. Almost no battles ever spread this far.
In the past, they would only hear the distant sounds of combat. What was going on today?
"Master, a Black Lizard has smashed through the Warehouse wall..." Claptrap projected a holographic screen, displaying a scar-riddled Black Lizard struggling to get back on its feet.
The next mont, the southern wall of the Warehouse was completely blasted open. A silver-white chanical Giant Ox stomped inside. Eagle Vulture stood atop the machine, shouting, "Let's see where you can run now!"
Li Yu's eyes flickered with uncertainty as Hunter imdiately whispered, "This guy did it on purpose. He's coming for you."
Li Yu nodded. After laying the groundwork for ten days, this guy was finally revealing his true colors today.
This Black Lizard had clearly been blasted in by him, all for the sake of dragging Li Yu into the ss.
Rumble!
The chanical Giant Ox let out a low growl. Its electronic eyes glead blood-red as it analyzed the entire structural layout. Its chanical build was incredibly precise, with various weapon modules mounted all over its massive fra.
A large number of soldiers gathered around, warily staring at the heavily injured Black Lizard.
"Friends inside the Spaceship, please evacuate imdiately to avoid friendly fire," Eagle Vulture warned, putting on a convincing act.
The cabin doors opened, and Li Yu stepped out. Eagle Vulture imdiately feigned surprise, "Ah, it's Your Excellency God Slayer. I thought you were out fighting. What are you doing here?"
Eagle Vulture's words were undeniably sinister. As soon as he spoke, the expressions of the surrounding soldiers shifted, even though it couldn't be seen through their Armor.
It would have been fine if there hadn't been a comparison with the Shipbreaker squad.
Now that the Shipbreakers had been continuously helping Molcasar fight for ten straight days while Li Yu hadn't made a single appearance, the stark contrast instantly beca apparent.
"My apologies. I sustained so injuries while slaying the Thunder Beasts earlier, so I've been recuperating," Li Yu replied nonchalantly.
This imdiately made several soldiers realize the truth. So that was it. They were fully aware of how ferocious Thunder Beasts were; it was perfectly understandable that Your Excellency God Slayer had been injured.
Eagle Vulture pressed on, "You don't really look like you're injured to . We have a dical Bay over at our place; do you want us to take a look at you..."
Li Yu shook his head. "No need. Your Excellency Eagle Vulture should deal with the Black Lizard first..."
They bickered back and forth as if no one else was around. anwhile, the heavily injured Black Lizard moved slowly and cautiously until it reached the back of the Spaceship.
The chanical Giant Ox, the Spaceship, and Li Yu all aligned in a single line. A sharp gleam flashed in Eagle Vulture's eyes. Now was the ti!
Clack-clack-clack!
The chest plates of the chanical Giant Ox slid open, revealing tal cannon barrels that were fully charged. He roared loudly, "Watch out for a sneak attack!"
Boom!
A blazing silver-white Energy Beam shot straight toward Li Yu. Using the Black Lizard as an excuse, he had launched his strike.
This was the blast from the Main Cannon of a C-class chanical construct. Without any defenses, Eagle Vulture firmly believed the guy would end up severely injured, if not dead!
Li Yu's eyes glinted slightly as that bizarre sensation surfaced in his body once again. He understood.
He gently raised his hand. The silver-white Light Beam that was about to pierce through him actually made a sharp turn right in front of him, blasting straight back toward the chanical Giant Ox.
"What!?" Eagle Vulture's face drastically changed as he watched helplessly while the silver-white beam crashed right into the chanical Giant Ox's body.
Rumble!
Black smoke billowed into the air. Half of the chanical Giant Ox's body was blown to bits, sparking with Electric Arcs and stray flas.
"So it's Energy Manipulation..." Li Yu lowered his hand. This was a formidable Superpower, though it would require further developnt to fully unlock its potential.
The attack from the chanical Giant Ox was rely a standard compressed Energy Beam, allowing him to control it freely. If the energy had been far more powerful, it probably would have been difficult.
"What is the aning of this? Why did you attack ?" Eagle Vulture's expression darkened. With the chanical Giant Ox damaged, the repair costs would definitely fall on his shoulders, and it would not be a small expense.
"What is the aning of this?" Li Yu raised an eyebrow, slowly walking toward Eagle Vulture.
Eagle Vulture felt inexplicably panicked. Forcing himself to stay calm, he said, "I was helping you attack the Black Lizard. Why did you attack for no reason?"
"Attacked you?" Li Yu found it sowhat laughable. "Didn't you attack first?"
"Heh..." Eagle Vulture suddenly stopped panicking, feeling like he was back in control of the situation's rhythm. "My attacks are precisely calculated. It wouldn't have hurt you at all."
Since the attack hadn't hit Li Yu anyway, he could spin it however he wanted.
Eagle Vulture righteously condemned Li Yu, "You possess imnse strength, yet you refuse to help Molcasar. And now, you even dare to attack !"
"Do you really care what they think?" Li Yu found it amusing, pointing at the surrounding Molcasar soldiers.
'Of course I don't fucking care...' Eagle Vulture cursed inwardly. But since Yu Jin and Kansa didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble, he could only use this thod to minimize the fallout as much as possible.
"Of course I care!"
Li Yu smiled—a bright, radiant smile. "How unfortunate. I don't care at all..."
Purple-red Electric Arcs flickered as Li Yu's figure abruptly vanished from where he stood. Eagle Vulture's pupils shrank. With a flick of his wrists, he whipped out two Dark Energy Handguns.
They fired highly corrosive energy with terrifying destructive power. He fired frantically, the muzzles flashing with dark radiance.
Unlike the deafening roar of chanical kinetic weapons, these guns produced almost no sound. Energy bullets trailing faint dark radiance shot toward Li Yu.
However, all those energy bullets halted right in front of Li Yu's body, as if an invisible barrier was blocking them.
His eyes glead slightly. The next mont, all the bullets were reflected right back. Eagle Vulture's expression contorted in shock. He flipped and leaped off the chanical Giant Ox, using its massive fra to block the incoming projectiles.
Sizzle! Sizzle!
The black energy bullets corroded fist-sized holes directly into the body of the chanical Giant Ox.
