Energy Manipulation was clearly a Superpower with boundless potential, and Li Yu gained a deeper understanding of it after a careful assessnt.
The developnt and advancent of each Superpower varied greatly, and many abilities had their own limitations. For instance, the invisibility Hunter acquired required almost no developnt, which inherently ant its limits were fixed, making it sowhat impractical.
After all, he was not hiding in Subspace; it was purely visual invisibility. Heat signatures, sound waves, weight, and physical dinsions would all easily give him away.
At most, he could implant Mimicry Skin to block the majority of detection thods, but he would still remain highly vulnerable to exposure.
On the other hand, Li Ping's Transformation Ability was sowhat stronger. It directly granted him basic D-rank combat prowess. With further developnt, reaching C-rank would not be a problem.
Even reaching B-rank was not entirely out of the question, but advancing to A-rank was practically impossible, as many Superpowers were simply incompatible with the Gene Chain.
Take Li Ping, for example. Once transford, he practically beca a different species. This easily triggered Genetic Mutation, making it extrely difficult to fuse with the Gene Chain again.
However, Li Yu's Energy Manipulation was tethered to his ntal Power to so extent. Only with sufficiently robust ntal Power could he control the various energies dissipating in the void.
For an ordinary person, this would be a massive limitation, as ninety-nine percent of lifeforms in interstellar space had absolutely no idea how to develop ntal Power.
According to the fragnted details Mo Duo had once ntioned, the Star Glory Empire possessed specialized thods for developing ntal Power. However, those techniques were top secret, and absolute loyalty to the Star Glory Empire was rely the baseline requirent.
However, none of these obstacles could stop Li Yu. After all, he had his baby Sand Worm, even though, as his ntal Power tier steadily increased...
...the effects of the Spice were gradually diminishing, but every little bit still added up over ti.
Various thoughts drifted through his mind, his scattered ideas colliding like shooting stars and striking quite a few sparks.
Li Yu watched the two sly dogs putting on an act with each other, looking as though they were about to beco sworn brothers on the spot.
A mont later, Mole saw Kansa off. His face, previously wrinkled into a bright smile like a blooming chrysanthemum, abruptly turned cold and moody. "This is troubleso. That guy is no simple Athyst."
Li Yu pulled himself out of his drifting thoughts, sowhat puzzled by Mole's remark.
Before Li Yu could ask, Mole continued, "Pure Athysts, due to their year-round exposure to Athyst radiation, have undergone fundantal changes at the genetic level. The purple crystals on their heads are proof of this."
"However, the Athyst Core is only found on the howorld of the Athyst Civilization. The Athysts on other planets do not possess this transformation."
According to Mole's explanation, this exact reason was what had caused the Athyst Civilization to fracture in recent years. The Athysts with crystals on their heads had begun to develop a sense of superiority over those without.
This naturally bred resentnt among the ordinary Athysts. After all, they were all the exact sa race. Why should they be looked down upon just because the others were lucky enough to be born on the howorld?
Although the Athyst Civilization had been promoting the Radiation Project in recent years, subtle transformations at the genetic level took thousands of years at the bare minimum.
While external technological intervention could shorten this process, the Athyst Civilization clearly had not unlocked that branch of technology and could only seek help from the Star Glory Empire.
Yet the Star Glory Empire maintained an ambiguous stance, neither agreeing nor refusing, perfectly mastering the art of manipulation.
Because of this, speculations circulated on the Black Hole Network, suggesting that the internal schism within the Athyst Civilization was very likely the handiwork of the Star Glory Empire.
As the Athyst Civilization grew increasingly powerful, they had surprisingly begun to diverge from the Star Glory Empire on certain interstellar matters.
"...The purple crystal on their foreheads allows Athysts to control a special kind of power. I dealt with one of them a long ti ago."
A lancholy expression surfaced on Mole's face, his gaze turning sowhat profound. "Because of that, I learned a few secrets. The purple crystals on the heads of the Athyst royal family have seventy-four cut facets.
"anwhile, ordinary Athysts only have seventy-three cut facets. That Kansa from just now is a mber of the Athyst royal family."
Li Yu was left utterly speechless. He seed to want to say sothing but could not find the right words for a mont.
"Were you seriously counting the facets on his forehead crystal this whole ti?"
Mole nodded, seemingly sensing nothing wrong with that, and continued, "We never had any close contact before. I only found out today."
"If he is a mber of the Athyst royal family, this matter is even more troubleso..."
Mole had always assud that the councilors were simply greedy for imdiate profits, which was why they had leaked the news about the Athyst Core.
But looking at it now, they truly had their own plans for the developnt of their civilization. It seed they wanted to turn Molcasar into a vassal of the Athyst Civilization.
This was not a bad idea, but Kansa had sneaked in here secretly, obviously wanting to keep the information contained. Once he obtained the Athyst Core... Molcasar's fate could easily be imagined.
Mole left fraught with worry. Upon learning this new piece of information, his plans had shifted once again.
Li Yu returned to the spaceship and brought out Eagle Vulture's Spider Armor, which had already been hacked to pieces by him, along with those Energy Firearms.
The Titan Symbiotic Armor extruded a white liquid that slowly covered the Spider Armor, beginning a gradual process of devouring it.
The Spider Armor would allow the Titan Symbiotic Armor to make significant strides in its currently lacking offensive capabilities, saving him from having to rely solely on swinging his Light Blade around all day.
The Cube Power had a considerable amount of energy stored within it. Although it had been nearly squeezed dry when activating the Titan Symbiotic Armor, it functioned like a self-replenishing energy well.
It had currently stored up quite a bit of energy, yet using it solely to power the Light Blade was a trendous waste of its potential.
Bored, he flipped through the System Log. His Second Clone had recently ceased hostilities. The past few logs did not yield any good items, as it had been constantly subjected to Brainwashing Work, but he estimated that the process was nearing its end.
The calm and reliable Second Clone had not caused any unexpected trouble. It had consistently feigned a foolish, dull, and simple-minded deanor, obediently allowing itself to be brainwashed.
"Master, Mo Duo seems to have run into so trouble..." Claptrap's voice rang out abruptly, causing Li Yu's gaze to narrow slightly.
Hunter frowned as well, looking up at Li Yu.
The door to Mo Duo's Lounge opened. A faint green light emanated from her forehead, illuminating the entire room.
Her expression appeared to be in deep pain. She lay flat on the soft, fully enclosed multifunctional massage bed, her forehead covered in cold sweat.
"What happened to her?" Hunter could not help but ask in surprise. Within the eerie green light, faint silhouettes of countless figures flickered densely, sending a chill down his spine.
"This is..." Li Yu furrowed his brows tightly. He discreetly materialized a Card, a Heart-Shaped Pendant, and a Pager in his hand, before walking straight into the green light.
"Careful!" Hunter warned.
Intermittent, chaotic noises echoed in Li Yu's ears, sounding as if they were coming from beyond the horizon, yet also right beside him.
The language bypassed the Titan Symbiotic Armor's translator and surged directly into his mind. A familiar sensation welled up in his heart—it was that green pearl.
Li Yu had used the green pearl before and was very familiar with this feeling.
The green light did not seem inherently dangerous. After estimating the situation for a mont, Hunter attempted to step inside as well. However, the mont he made contact with the green glow, he let out a miserable wail and stumbled backward.
Li Yu frowned and turned his head. Hunter was clutching his head, muttering curses, "What the hell is screaming in my mind? It feels like a Psychic Assault... Watch yourself, I cannot go in there..."
'A Psychic Assault...' Li Yu thought, feeling nothing of the sort himself. His gaze flickered. 'Is it because my own ntal Power is relatively strong?'
Approaching Mo Duo cautiously, he hesitated for a mont as his gaze swept over her entire body.
'Hmm... she has a slender figure, curving perfectly in all the right places. Her face is pale, evoking a deep sense of pity... Bah, is this really the ti to be thinking about such things?!'
Gripping his three trump cards tightly in one hand, Li Yu slowly reached his other hand toward Mo Duo's forehead. The mont his fingers brushed against her skin...
...his pupils constricted. His vision was flooded with green light, and the world spun violently around him. By the ti his sight cleared up again...
...Li Yu found himself lying on a blood-red earth. Surrounding him were terrifying silhouettes with hollow eye sockets, tears of blood dripping from the dark voids.
Even though they had no eyes, Li Yu could vividly feel their gazes locking onto him!
The sensation sent shivers down his spine...
"Isn't this a sci-fi interstellar universe? Why did the art style suddenly turn into a horror movie?" Li Yu muttered as he slowly got up, warily scanning his surroundings.
He then noticed a faint layer of stellar radiance lingering over his body, swirling like a misty galaxy. It was the Spice...
A sense of realization dawned in Li Yu's mind. He took a tentative step forward, and sure enough, the eerie silhouettes stepped back in perfect unison.
He took another step forward, and they retreated once more...
The effects of the Spice were clearly extraordinary. In the Dune World, God-Emperor Paul had used Spice for years and eventually acquired the power of prescience, which was proof enough.
Step forward, step back. Step forward, step back...
"Your Excellency is in a playful mood..." a distant voice echoed from the crowd as the terrifying, eyeless silhouettes parted to clear a path.
It was sothing entirely different from the rest of the shadows. Radiating a dark green glow, it was a perfectly round pearl. Its voice was completely androgynous.
"To fall into the Phantom Divine Dreamscape and still remain so unfazed... it is truly rare," the green pearl remarked with a sigh.
"Do outsiders co in here often?" Li Yu imdiately asked.
"Uh..." The green pearl paused before answering, "Your Excellency is the first."
Li Yu was rendered speechless.
'Then why are you praising for being rare?' Li Yu thought in exasperation.
"Just spit it out, no need to suck up to . Where is Mo Duo?" Li Yu demanded bluntly.
"Rest assured, Your Excellency. The daughter of the Star Leader is perfectly safe..." The green pearl waved an invisible hand, and the scenery instantly spun. On top of a cliff, Mo Duo was sitting with her back facing them, her face obscured from view.
Li Yu did not call out to her blindly; instead, he waited quietly for the green pearl to speak.
The green pearl felt stifled. If this guy did not call out to her, how was he supposed to realize that Mo Duo could not respond? Only then was he supposed to furiously or anxiously interrogate the pearl so it could continue its dramatic monologue.
Li Yu's absolute silence made it extrely difficult for it to proceed with its script.
"Uh..." The green pearl hesitated for a mont, radiating a faint glow. Just as it decided to speak and force the narrative forward itself, Li Yu interrupted it.
"How do I bring her back?"
The green pearl choked on its words once again. Its long prepared opening monologue, the impassioned speech, the sorrowful backstory—everything had to be skipped entirely.
