[Day One: Now relatively familiar with the environnt, you sought out the Gang boss from last ti. Amidst his terrified expression, you finished him off and uprooted the entire criminal organization.]
[Acquired White Title: Vengeance is Mine. Would you like to extract it?]
After a dull day, Li Yu looked at the System Log, silently churning over his thoughts in the corner.
'It can actually crossover like this?' he thought. 'Could those worlds truly be real?'
Clone One's actions on the first day sparked many speculations in Li Yu's mind.
Clone One could be said to know the ropes now. He had avenged being encased in cent last ti, and with ruthless thods, he wiped out the enemy's entire group. This was likely the rit of the Order Disruptor title.
Coincidentally, Second Clone's cooldown had also refreshed, aning it could be deployed again.
[Searching for World Deploynt... Analyzing data... Locating coordinates for Dune World... Opening World Barrier Smuggling Channel... Successfully opened... Please select a Clone for deploynt. Talents and titles can be equipped, which will affect the Comprehensive Evaluation.]
Li Yu's eyes widened in surprise, and he hurriedly focused his attention on the Dune World. This was a realm with a massive worldview, overrun with all sorts of powerful figures.
'Hmm... Second Clone is like my own flesh and blood. I should choose to get close to the protagonist,' he mused.
For the title, he decided to equip the White Title: Tily Rain. There was nothing particularly useful among the Green Titles, and the remaining Plot Disruptor was not as practical as Tily Rain.
As for what else to equip... Li Yu narrowed his eyes and pondered for a while. He recalled that the protagonist of The Mandalorian had a designation similar to a savior.
'I choose you... Elite Talent: Savior (Pseudo).'
[Deploying... Deploynt successful. Host, please wait for the System Log to refresh. Note: The Ti Flow Rate of the currently deployed world matches the Main World at a 1:1 ratio.]
It was another 1:1 ratio. Just like Clone One, it could only refresh once a day.
Li Yu was rather curious about exactly what determined this Ti Flow Rate; he still had not found a pattern.
Buzz-buzz!
A vibration ca from his arm, and Claptrap's avatar surfaced on his device.
"Master, Thorn Fla has posted a bounty on you across the Black Hole Network..."
"Have they finally reacted?" Li Yu murmured, not feeling the least bit surprised. Every underground faction on the Heavenly Desolation Star was waiting for Thorn Fla's response.
It would be strange if Thorn Fla did not retaliate, as their reputation would suffer a massive blow otherwise.
"How much is the bounty?" Li Yu asked casually.
"Ten million Star Coins!"
Li Yu's eyes instantly widened. "How much?"
"Ten million Star Coins, Master," Claptrap replied, raising its volu.
Li Yu had not misheard, of course; he was simply shocked. Ten million Star Coins ant the bounty was aid at D-Class Lifeforms, rather than E-Class Lifeforms.
"I thought they would take things step-by-step, proceeding orderly, but they went straight for the kill right off the bat. It makes want to turn myself in for the cash," Li Yu chuckled as he cald down.
It was not just him; even the mbers of Thorn Fla themselves were astounded.
"Old Ghost, why did The Lord issue such a high bounty?" Taotie asked, hurrying to find Old Ghost upon hearing the news.
Old Ghost glanced at him and replied lightly, "The Lord did not decide this. I did."
"Since it is a feud to the death, we might as well strike with lethal intent. A bounty of a few million is aningless."
Taotie looked at him as if seeing Old Ghost for the first ti. Then, as if suddenly realizing sothing, he probed cautiously, "Old Ghost, about this money..."
Old Ghost revealed an amiable smile. "Do not worry. I sold Third Brother's Folding Apartnt to cover the bounty fee."
Taotie imdiately felt a pang of heartache. He had originally been counting on that property to recoup so of his losses.
However, since things had already reached this point, he could not say much. He rely asked, "Have you found that woman? We cannot let her run off with Third Brother's money."
"There has been absolutely no news. She was likely silenced by Li Yu," Old Ghost deduced, assuming Third Brother's funds were already in Li Yu's hands.
"That Scavenger..." Taotie gritted his teeth, gnashing them in frustration. The thought of losing all his capital funds returned to nothing made him furious enough to get a headache.
...
When Li Yu pushed the door open, he was t with two pairs of eyes harboring murderous, greedy intent.
"What are you two plotting? You aren't thinking of tying up and trading for cash, are you?" Li Yu asked warily.
Mo Duo rolled her eyes, too lazy to even entertain him with a response. This simple eye-roll gave Hunter goosebumps, prompting him to subtly distance himself from her.
"I would if I could..." Hunter muttered under his breath, "but I'd need the strength for it..."
"I knew it, your desire to kill still isn't dead..." Li Yu sneered. "I've already commissioned Claptrap. If I die, the remaining funds in my account will be used to place a bounty on both of you."
Hunter paled in shock. "You can't be serious! What does it have to do with us if soone else kills you?"
"It has nothing to do with you, but I just want you two to go down with ," Li Yu declared shalessly.
Mo Duo was left utterly speechless. "Stop fooling around. Gugu just ca to inform us that you need to get ready for the match."
"Huh?" Li Yu asked, puzzled. "Why was it moved up? Wasn't it scheduled for tomorrow?"
"Who knows..." Mo Duo replied, curling up on the sofa with her back to the two of them.
"Fair enough..."
Since the notice had been given, there was nothing to do but prepare for battle.
To the vast majority of the audience who were kept in the dark, the bout between Grey Spear and Li Yu was, for all intents and purposes, a genuine E rank battle.
Most lacked the discerning eyes to see that their clash had actually brushed against the threshold of D-rank.
Because of this, the anticipation for Li Yu's upcoming match against The Howler was still scorching hot. The Howler was a veteran fighter for the Tyron Chamber of Comrce and had amassed a dedicated fan base.
He also had quite a few sponsors. In truth, many sponsors had sought out Li Yu as well, but Tu Rui had intercepted them all.
Li Yu was oblivious to all this. When he stepped onto the arena wearing the clothes Gore had given him, the cheers, roars, and curses ringing in his ears from the surrounding crowd were ceaseless.
Tu Rui stood in a second-floor Lounge, a Cigar clamped between his teeth. Several beings dressed in crisp Suits held up Glass Cups, the scarlet liquid sloshing gently within.
They looked down at the two fighters in the arena, clinking their glasses together with expressions of smugness and disdain.
"Manager Tu, should we transfer him into the shadows? Beating Grey Spear proves he is a sharp blade," suggested a Goat-Man in a white Suit, his beard neatly grood.
Tu Rui exhaled a ring of smoke, his eyes hazy behind the cloud. "No, I have my own uses for him."
"What a pity..." the Goat-Man shook his head slightly, raising his Glass Cup and draining it in one gulp before letting out a satisfied sigh.
What did it matter if an uncontrollable flea jumped around occasionally? In the end, they would all be forced into submissiveness.
Down in the arena, Gore wore a complex expression. Even after the countdown had ended, neither of them made an imdiate move.
Four minutes of silence dragged by... The audience below was already growing impatient, hurling a flurry of profanities.
"There must be a story behind these clothes," Li Yu finally spoke up, chatting as casually as if they were catching up on old tis.
"Yeah... but it is all in the past..." Gore nodded, looking a bit dazed, yet he clearly had no intention of elaborating.
"Make your move..." he stated calmly, having already foreseen his own fate.
Li Yu ignored him, instead lifting his head to scan the second floor. He did not know which VIP Room Tu Rui was watching from.
"Whether I beat you to death or spare you, I only have one outco waiting for ," Li Yu declared. "Therefore..."
Just as the five-minute mark ticked over, a faint smile graced his lips. "I surrender!"
