When Hunter and Mo Duo noticed the commotion outside the door and ca out to check, they were absolutely dumbfounded. What in the world was going on?

Who was that axe-wielding homicidal maniac?

Oh... it was Li Yu. Never mind then...

Like hell it was fine!

Hunter swallowed hard, feeling that Li Yu's ntal condition was deteriorating by the minute.

Tyrant Punch was kneeling in front of the door with a look of profound relief. Poisonous Viper and Old Wolf had already fled downstairs, but judging by Li Yu's sinister expression, those two were dead at.

He praised his own brilliance. The mont he sensed things going south, he imdiately dropped to his knees and saved his own life.

"Where do you think you're going!" Li Yu roared, darting down the stairs after them.

Right at that mont, Mo Duo's smart terminal vibrated slightly, displaying a single word: "Leave!"

His pupils contracted as his mind raced. He turned to Hunter and declared, "Quick, we need to go help him. We can't let Li Yu face a disadvantage!"

His expression was dead serious, leaving Hunter completely bewildered. Ah... the two of them were weaklings. Going to help wouldn't be aiding him; it would just be delivering hostages, wouldn't it?

If the enemy threatened them, would Li Yu even bother saving them?

There was no ti to explain. Mo Duo's eyes flickered slightly, and a green light flashed in Hunter's eyes. He imdiately nodded and replied in a deep voice, "Alright, let's go!"

Under Tyrant Punch's bewildered gaze, Mo Duo and Hunter also darted down the staircase.

In an instant, the only person left in the chaotic corridor was Tyrant Punch, still kneeling on the floor.

Inside Tu Rui's room, he stood by the window, looking down at the empty streets below. A cigar was clamped between his teeth, and thick plus of smoke billowed from his massive mouth.

He figured he would no longer be able to keep his managerial position. It was a role he had only secured through the strength of his ethnic group. Once word got out that he had purchased a young Troll Heart, it would undoubtedly be considered a betrayal of his own race.

He had no doubt that the sinister old goat would use this evidence at the most crucial mont to install his own subordinate into the position of Boxing Match Departnt manager.

And he would lose everything... but it was all worth it... as long as his son could be healthy...

"Manager Tu, what is going on here? Why did he suddenly run off on a killing spree?" a voice abruptly echoed from the corner.

Tu Rui slowly snapped out of his thoughts, not particularly concerned. He exhaled a cloud of pale smoke and said, "Pay it no mind. Arrogance after a small victory is a common trait among nobodies."

"There won't be any unexpected complications, right? Manager Tu, we paid a significant price behind the scenes to arrange for you to be smuggled out of here."

"If you are deceiving us..."

Hearing the skepticism, Tu Rui let out a cold snort. "For a Scavenger, the status of a Second-Class Citizen is an unimaginable temptation. I lured him with information about an Imperial Noble; he will definitely..."

He paused, calmly stepping away from the window and pressing the button to close the blinds. The room imdiately plunged into darkness before a soft light gradually illuminated the space.

"He will co back..."

Damn it, this cunning Scavenger was even slyer than a Gray-skinned Lizard. From the window, he had actually caught a glimpse of Li Yu and the other two hastily making their escape.

They were not chasing anyone down; they had clearly sensed an ambush and fled. How on earth could he have discovered the trap...

This was troubleso. He was the one who had hired the Ghost Squad, originally intending to trade Li Yu for safe passage out of the capital. Although this place was locked down by Dark Star, he believed the Ghost Squad definitely had their thods.

What he hadn't anticipated was that the Ghost Squad would place such imnse importance on Li Yu.

They had mobilized so many elites—a full five D-Class Lifeforms, fully geared with various equipnt. Let alone Li Yu, even he wouldn't be able to escape them.

So, the problem was that Li Yu had run away, making this a wasted trip for the Ghost Squad. How was he supposed to clearly explain that he wasn't playing them for fools?

Relying on the intimidation of his ethnic group? The Tyron Chamber of Comrce? The Ghost Squad probably wouldn't be frightened by those titles.

He glanced over at the Little Demon Giant...

"I will go invite him personally..." Tu Rui stated expressionlessly, taking the cigar out of his mouth.

"Won't he notice sothing is amiss?" the Ghost Squad mber questioned, thinking things through very carefully.

"Heh..." Tu Rui sneered disdainfully. "Just how smart can a Scavenger be?"

He picked up the Little Demon Giant and walked straight toward the door.

"Wait..." the voice from the corner called out again, causing Tu Rui's brow to twitch slightly.

"Is it convenient for Manager Tu to carry out this task while bringing his son along? Why not leave the boy here."

Tu Rui's aura instantly turned nacing, and a chilling presence filled the air. He turned around, the patterns on his body glowing faintly. "Leave him here?"

"Have we not reached a point of mutual trust yet? What... do you think I'm going to run away?"

"I was the one who hired you... Why would I run away!?"

Tu Rui's attitude was overbearing, yet his reasoning was undeniably sound.

The Ghost Squad fell silent. After a long while, the voice finally responded, "I apologize for the offense."

Tu Rui chuckled coldly and aggressively pushed open the door to his room. A thick stench of blood lingered outside, and Tyrant Punch was still kneeling on the floor.

Cradling the Little Demon Giant, Tu Rui took composed, asured steps. His burly figure brushed past Tyrant Punch and walked straight into the elevator.

Fifteen minutes later... absolute silence reigned in the room...

Half an hour later... it remained completely quiet...

Two hours later, a voice finally broke the silence in the room. "Captain... did we just get... played?"

The room descended into silence again. After a long pause, the air in the corner rippled, and a figure wearing gray-white armor materialized. Three rings were embedded in his chest, pulsating with energy.

"Dispatch half of our mbers in the capital to hunt down Li Yu and Tu Rui," he ordered. He paused for a mont before continuing, "Prioritize Li Yu."

"No one... is allowed to make a fool out of the Ghost Squad!"

"Understood!" the squad mbers acknowledged in unison, before one of them asked with a hint of confusion, "Captain, at this current juncture, is it really necessary..."

He didn't finish his sentence...

"There is definitely sothing wrong with this Li Yu. Do you rember the intel from Third Fatty? He ca here to assassinate a VIP." The captain's tone was profound.

"Our mission is almost complete..."

"Are you saying... his target is..." one of the squad mbers gasped in shock, then replied solemnly, "I understand now!"

A short while later...

On the deserted streets, Li Yu and the other two walked at a brisk pace, glancing around vigilantly from ti to ti. Dark Star's small patrol flying vehicles sward the entire city.

Once they left Sacred Heart Hospital, he didn't bother paying attention to the scattered, fleeing fighters.

"Damn Trolls, to think they actually colluded with the Ghost Squad," Hunter grumbled, muttering curses under his breath.

"He just grew afraid. Sigh... look what having a child does to a man." Li Yu's guess was incredibly close to the truth. Tu Rui could take risks and wasn't afraid to do so, but the Little Demon Giant couldn't.

"Where are we going now?" Mo Duo asked.

An image surfaced in Li Yu's mind—that Basent, that Clinic.

But they couldn't just head over there blindly right now... He looked up at the crimson flying vehicles continuously sweeping across the sky above them.

Clang!

Li Yu's pupils shrank. Right in front of his forehead, a spinning black bullet clashed against a purple chanical hand that had extended from his chest, striking a shower of sparks before finally losing its kinetic energy and clattering to the ground.

"Commander, soone is sniping at you..." the Purple Sniper kept close to his body announced, its voice causing Hunter and Mo Duo's eyes to widen in shock.

"Can you pinpoint their location?" Li Yu's expression was incredibly grim.

"Of course..." As the physical embodint of a sniper rifle, the Purple Sniper could naturally lock onto the enemy's position.

"Kill him for !"

In a split second, Li Yu's clothes tore apart completely. Purple light flashed brilliantly, and under the horrified gazes of Mo Duo and Hunter, the chanical Modules rapidly assembled themselves, instantly forming a massive gun barrel.

Lacking a scope or a grip, the entire structure was integrated directly into Li Yu's chest. Four stabilizing struts crossed over one another as the gun barrel adjusted its aim.

Bang!

Accompanied by a muffled blast, Li Yu's body remained completely motionless, though a cloud of dust erupted from beneath his feet.
