This was an expanse of white space; there were no other colors here, only the white light of void and silence.
However, shifting the line of sight downward and passing through a light energy absorption barrier, what presented itself was a boundless Research Base.
Multi-functional tracked Transport Vehicles moved along specific tracks, transporting massive amounts of white Crystals. Single-person Flying Vehicles glided at low altitude, the humming sound of anti-gravity devices approaching from afar, then disappearing past the ear.
Below them, specially-made Chains forged from black tal hung Lifeforms radiating white light. So dazzling liquid dripped onto the Ground, emitting sizzling sounds.
Large numbers of Fully ard soldiers patrolled every corner. Various monitoring Instrunts operated around the clock to prevent any accidents from happening.
In the central Command Center, Staff mbers with tense expressions stared at the Holographic Screens in front of them.
Suddenly, a Crimson Glow flashed on a Holographic Screen, and a warning text popped up––
"Warning––Anomalous Spatial Fluctuation detected. Please dispatch personnel to investigate imdiately."
The Staff mber in front hastily opened the map and discovered that the anomalous Spatial Fluctuation was in a corner of the base.
Calling up the nearest surveillance cara, he found the signal was intermittent. He imdiately opened the channel and ordered: "TV-66 Squad, there is an anomalous Spatial Fluctuation about 70m away from you. Please proceed to investigate."
"Confirm if it is an accidental trigger by a Light Spirit Lifeform. Please ensure a reply every 30 seconds. Use reply code *42."
"In case of any accidents, we will initiate ergency asures."
"Yes!" A muffled reply ca through the channel. The Staff mber did not relax in the slightest, continuing to stare intently at the map.
Now was a critical mont. Vigilance had to be raised for any insignificant anomalies.
The TV-66 Squad raised their vigilance. Under the Captain's lead, they ford a dispersed formation and proceeded cautiously toward the anomalous location.
They kept their eyes glued to the Detection radar. After reaching a corner, they carefully halted their steps.
After making a few hand signals, the Captain, holding an Energy Rifle, suddenly stepped forward, turning his body to aim at the other side of the corner.
"Squeak, squeak!"
A palm-sized Light Spirit Lifeform on the ground let out a squeaking sound.
The Captain's expression relaxed slightly. After glancing at the Detection radar, he then reported: "Confird, it was an accidental trigger by a Light Spirit Lifeform. The radiation from its body caused Disruption to the surveillance cara's signal transmission."
This kind of Light Spirit Lifeform was not considered powerful among the Indigenous Lifeforms of the Light Dinsion.
But they possessed a special ability, which was to use light to perform Flash Teleportation.
These Light Spirits frequently caused trouble for the base, but this base had no way to lock down space either.
Because internally, they also frequently needed to utilize space for transport or transfer.
Hearing this, the Staff mber in the Command Center couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, then turned off the alarm.
The Captain pulled out a tal Device from his waist and swiftly tossed it at the Light Spirit on the ground.
The palm-sized Light Spirit had no specific physical form. After being startled, a distorted vortex surfaced on the surface of its body, seeming as if it wanted to flee.
But the tal Device quickly activated, emitting a small-range spatial disruption wave that directly stopped it in its tracks.
Bang!
With a muffled sound, this mass of Light Spirit exploded on the spot. At this ti, a Squad mber walked toward the corner, picked up a Naplate from the ground, and said in a low voice:
"Dr. Boriel Newster..."
"It's mine..." An unfamiliar voice ca from behind. The crowd quickly turned around, simultaneously raising the Energy Firearms in their hands.
"One of our own, one of our own..." The person behind hastily said. He wore a white research coat and seed sowhat panicked. He had thin cheeks and a high nose bridge.
"I just passed by here and dropped my Naplate here, I'm really sorry."
Seeing him, the Captain subconsciously felt a bit familiar, as if he had seen him sowhere before. It should be one of their own.
"Captain, it is indeed Dr. Boriel." A Squad mber had already scanned the Naplate, and compared to the internal Database, the image that popped up was exactly Boriel's appearance.
Confirming the information was correct, the Captain also lowered the muzzle of his Gun and spoke slowly: "Apologies, Dr. Boriel. A spatial disruption wave just appeared here, so we are a bit vigilant."
"It's fine, this is your duty." He stepped forward, took the Naplate, hung it on his chest, and smiled.
"Then let us escort you back." The Captain offered proactively.
The Status of these Senior Researchers was still higher than that of these common soldiers.
As long as there were no problems with the other party's Identity, they had to treat them respectfully.
"Alright." Boriel nodded, but inwardly he was pondering, the power of this [Black Widow] was quite formidable.
This group of soldiers didn't perform any additional verification on him at all, such as voiceprint or Gene fingerprint comparisons.
Nor did they investigate his movent trajectory like the Command Center would, as if they completely trusted him.
Very clearly, this person was Li Yu in disguise. Because the Light Dinsion didn't have a Dinsion Controller.
Thus, the Abyss Institute didn't know he had engaged in Smuggling to get in.
As he had expected, the entire Light Dinsion was under the Abyss Institute's high-level surveillance.
Wanting to plant the Flower of Devournt in so Obscure Spot was simply impossible.
And after discovering this Research Base, he didn't act rashly but observed the surroundings for a period of ti.
Only after discovering that Light Spirits might accidentally trigger the internal spatial monitoring devices did he begin his operation.
However, the reason he returned to cross paths with this group of soldiers was precisely to test the effect of [Black Widow].
If [Black Widow] wasn't very effective, then he could only run away imdiately.
But looking at it now, it was considered quite reliable.
With a composed expression, under the escort of the soldiers, he truly walked into this Research Base.
In the center of the base, there was a white spiral-shaped Light Beam shooting straight into the sky, extending to who-knows-where.
"That should be the Hyperspace Linkage Channel recorded in the Salvation Ark's data..." Li Yu pondered secretly.
The Light Dinsion and the Shadow Dinsion were located in different places.
And the Abyss Institute lacked the Technology for Dinsion Movent, so they could only borrow other technologies to complete this fusion.
"If I just blow it up directly..." Li Yu's eyes narrowed slightly, and then he thought to himself: "No, totally useless. Blow it up and they'll just build another one. It won't have much impact on the Abyss Institute."
"We're here. We don't have the Authority to enter the Interior of the Research Base." The Captain spoke. Wearing thick black Armor, it was unknown what race was actually inside.
"Mm, thanks." Li Yu nodded, then used the Naplate to open the laboratory's main door and walked straight in.
Boriel was a Senior Researcher directly under the leadership of Dr. Sagura. This Doctor was once a famous figure in the Interstellar space.
Graduating from the Star Glory Empire Academy, she had extrely deep attainnts in quantum space and dinsional space studies.
It was just unknown why she hadn't entered the Imperial Research Institute, but instead joined the Abyss Institute to take charge of the Light-Shadow Dinsion Fusion Project.
In the Research Base, people were coming and going. Boriel's Status was quite high; at the very least, most Researchers would greet him.
He couldn't enter the core Laboratory for the ti being, as it required various verification procedures. He had to temporarily stand outside the door, looking for an opportunity.
This odd behavior attracted the attention of quite a few Researchers, but no one suspected anything.
Only after about half a day did another Senior Researcher walk over from outside, looking ready to enter the core Laboratory.
Li Yu composedly followed behind him, trailing by half a step.
"Boriel, finished relaxing?" He asked casually.
Li Yu gave a muffled response, only saying an "Mm".
The other party didn't overthink it either. Opening the core Laboratory, the two walked in together.
"You're back..." Sagura was standing in front of a Holographic Screen, where massive amounts of data and symbols constantly intersected.
Li Yu couldn't understand a single one and was sowhat bewildered.
However, he remained calm and composed, nodding: "Mm."
"Since your relaxing ti is over, then dive into the research..."
With her back to him, Sagura spoke as if talking to herself:
"According to the Xival Energy Formula..."
What followed was a massive bunch of terms and formulas that Li Yu couldn't understand, making him exceptionally confused.
"...According to this progress, to weaken the Light Dinsion to the sa Energy level as the Shadow Dinsion, it will take about nine more days."
"After nine days, the fusion experint can be conducted."
The other Senior Researcher walked over and frowned: "Dr. Sagura, I still believe that this thod will substantially weaken the stability of the Light Dinsion and will likely cause additional impacts on the Light-Shadow Dinsion."
"I know that too." Sagura turned her head. With fair skin, sharp eyes, and gold-rimd glasses, so data could faintly be seen floating on them.
The baggy research coat also couldn't hide her Alluring figure.
That's right, this Dr. Sagura was also a beauty as defined by interstellar humanity.
At this mont, she frowned: "I don't want this either, but that Idiot Shadow Demon caused one-fifth of the Shadow Dinsion's power to directly dissipate at such a crucial mont."
"We can only weaken the power of the Light Dinsion, otherwise, unequal power between the Light Dinsion and the Shadow Dinsion makes it more prone to trigger dinsional collapse."
That Researcher shook his head: "What I an is, the Light-Shadow Dinsion Fusion can wait a bit, there's no need to be in such a rush."
Sagura shook her head: "I don't want to rush either, but the Leader said this is a rare opportunity. The attention of most factions has been drawn by the conflict among the Abyss, Black Net, and Returning Star."
"For this, it's worth taking so risks."
Listening from the side, Li Yu didn't expect to obtain the exact fusion ti so easily.
And because of his Devouring of the Shadow Dinsion's power last ti, the Abyss Institute had no choice but to weaken the Light Dinsion's power to make the two dinsions equal.
"What do you say, Boriel..." Sagura suddenly turned her head and looked at Boriel.
Li Yu's eyelids twitched slightly, and he said calmly: "Since it's the Leader's order, it's not our place to say anything."
"Besides, we have already researched for such a long ti and are already very confident."
Hearing this, Sagura's eyes flickered, staring at Li Yu: "You weren't very enthusiastic about the Leader before, why this sudden agreent?"
Li Yu's Heart Skipped a Beat. This was also why he hadn't taken the initiative to speak just now.
Because ti was too hasty, he hadn't obtained any information from Boriel, much less knew this guy's daily habits.
He could easily be seen through by familiar people.
"However, you are very right. He is the Leader after all, we just need to follow orders." Sagura didn't probe deeper but turned her head to continue working.
Clearly, this was again the rit of [Black Widow]. If not for this ability, he would have probably been discovered long ago.
However, if he hadn't obtained this ability, he wouldn't have thought of infiltrating either.
The surrounding colleagues continued to work. Li Yu pretended to work for a while. When soone called him to assist, he also found an Excuse to decline.
Thanks to [Black Widow], his wandering around the Laboratory didn't arouse the suspicion of others either.
