"Master Fennec Fox!"
Entering the underground archaeological site beneath the ceramics factory, the tunnel leading to the site had been reinforced, with H-beams and certain chanical structures interconnected, while outside the original site’s open space, a dark green Sea God’s Needle stood upright on the ground.
Ansheng was dumbfounded, staring at the object that seed to carry a large-scale weapon of mass destruction.
"Is this thing standing here... legal?"
"It’s not ant to be used, just borrowed to stand here as a deterrent. After all... we can’t understand the enemy’s ntal frawork, right? But this thing can alter their bold ideas."
Wang Qiqi glanced at the erected missile, speaking with a nonchalant expression, introducing the fully operational ground vehicle launcher.
Whether there is anything in the site is another story.
But the attitude is necessary, besides, diesel isn’t that expensive, having this thing standing at the entrance of the site, if the other side hasn’t had their brains eaten by zombies, seeing this and not running is truly praiseworthy.
"Your Door God is really sothing fierce..."
Ansheng glanced at the launcher, exclaiming in wondernt, followed the clothes of Wang Qiqi like a ride and entered the site on her shoulder.
"Hey!"
Li Wenkang, sitting in the site, greeted Master Fennec Fox on Wang Qiqi’s shoulder.
Before Li Wenkang stood a door composed of layered tal rings, with no visible unlocking chanism or seam, and three tracked robots extended chanical arms in front of the peculiar door as if probing for sothing.
"There’s one last layer of the door left, you might need to wait a bit longer."
Li Wenkang glanced at Wang Ya and the Fennec Fox, without making any remark about their presence.
"Bena and her team have been at it for so long without opening the outermost door, yet you’re this quick?"
Ansheng looked at Li Wenkang and asked.
"They lack experience, while it’s not our first ti exploring relics from the last era."
Li Wenkang didn’t even look back, saying, "These doors cast from Spiritual Particle tal are very sturdy, and the most notable feature of the previous era’s creatures is having no keys."
"Even if there were holes on the doors, they are purely decorative and definitely not keyholes as we understand them. We currently don’t know how they opened doors, but during research by the Academy of Sciences, we discovered that all doors from the last era have ergency stop devices."
"Finding the ergency stop device allows one to easily open the door."
Li Wenkang simply introduced the principle but didn’t say a word about the thod of triggering the stop device.
Opening the site door is said to be simple, but that’s rely just talk.
"By the way, there’s one thing I wonder if you’ve handled for us."
"Spirit Beast, and it’s a fierce one." Li Wenkang saw Master Fennec Fox setting up a beach chair, lying down to ask for a borrowed laptop to watch dramas, holding a can of iced cola ready to gulp down, he thought about it and asked.
"Spirit Beast?" Ansheng asked Li Wenkang with a strange expression, "Is there a Spirit Beast you can’t handle?"
"We can handle it, just currently have no spare ti." Li Wenkang pointed towards the circular stacked door.
The humanoid Spirit Beast in Ba Mountain Sky Pit is already locked on by the satellite, fully exposing its form.
It’s a very large mosquito, exhibiting so features of other creatures, contrary to the forr Security Bureau office director’s speculation of a [Primordial Spirit Beast].
It should be categorized as [Species Specialized Spirit Beast], potentially ranked at Guardian Level in strength.
It’s not possible for the Golden Leopard to achieve a flawless sweep.
But paired with Master Fennec Fox, it becos very secure.
Encircling it from front and back to strike it.
"Alright, report the coordinates to , I’ll go see what’s on the other side." Master Fennec Fox thought and said.
"Coordinates are displayed." Li Wenkang dug out a rugged phone from his leather jacket and tossed it to Master Fennec Fox.
"Hmm?"
Master Fennec Fox caught the rugged phone, which already displayed a facial recognition interface, Ansheng looked at Li Wenkang with slight surprise but said nothing, placing it in his pocket.
This is an internal phone from the Security Bureau.
It can connect to the Security Bureau’s database, by simply scanning one’s face like a QR code, it can display what color of underwear they purchased on the screen.
"Sssss—"
Before Master Fennec Fox could finish setting up the new phone, the peculiar Spiritual Particle tal door abruptly emitted a tallic sliding sound.
Each piece of circular tal, overlaid in a biomitic structure, moved towards the doorfra edge for collection upon opening, forming a circular doorway appearing in the view of everyone.
Once the circular tal door opened, everyone’s gaze simultaneously fixed on the third level.
And to everyone’s disappointnt, the lowest level contained nothing unexpected.
There are no docunts, no crystallization of Spiritual Particle technology from the last era, and not a trace of remains.
Leading down the rustic, coarse tal steps is a structure resembling a conference hall, with an elliptical black stone table placed right at the center of the hall.
As the door opened, the elliptical black table suddenly transford, with its surface’s black material, resembling a layer of fuzz, withering rapidly to reveal a grey-white texture.
"Empty?"
Wang Qiqi was stunned by this sight, her face full of bewildernt.
The second layer still had so things, and one layer even recorded the identity of the creators of this ruin.
But the true core layer, was it... empty?
"No, it’s not empty. The table’s surface is emitting Spiritual Particle waves."
Li Wenkang rose from the ground and stepped straight into the sealed, dusty space. He scanned the direction the circular door couldn’t see from the sides, finding a circular abyss spreading throughout the conference hall, making the platform they previously observed float here.
Li Wenkang approached the elliptical table and looked at the withered black-grey material on its surface.
From afar, one could only see the color of the table changing in an instant.
But coming up close, it beca clear that it wasn’t the color changing, but rather a layer of fungus covering the table that rapidly withered upon contact with air.
"Hoo—"
Li Wenkang blew a breath at the spot emitting a significant Spiritual Particle wave.
A hot gust brushed over the fungus, revealing a highly abstract human handprint on the table. The palm print had holes at the fingers and palm, showing sharp tal blades hidden within.
Arrows were drawn around the handprint, with many pointing to it, clearly indicating that any incoming being should press their palm onto the handprint.
The Security Bureau archaeologists who followed in whispered so explanations to Li Wenkang upon seeing the handprint.
Li Wenkang’s main expertise lies in genetics, with his position as honorary headmaster being secondary.
In archaeology, his knowledge certainly doesn’t compare to the professionals who make their living from it.
"Is that so?"
Li Wenkang nodded slightly as he spoke, raising his palm to place it on the table’s handprint. Suddenly, a blade popped out from the elliptical table, piercing directly through Li Wenkang’s palm.
Li Wenkang’s expression remained unchanged as his orange-red blood, carrying a scorching sensation, flowed into the groove.
The orange-red blood flowed into the elliptical table.
"Clang—"
The dead fungus on the table ca back to life, and the entire conference hall lit up with a gentle glow. Star-like fluorescences erged from the walls, startling the Security Bureau personnel present.
"Greetings, to those who ca after..."
"It is a great pleasure to witness the miracle of life on Blue Star once again..."
A humanoid creature, covered in so kind of black mucus, erged from the pitch-black abyss.
As it landed on the platform, the black substance covering it dispersed like a receding tide, revealing its appearance.
It had a human-like face, but the back of its head did not present a round structure like modern Homo sapiens, but rather an elliptical shape.
Other than the subtle difference in the head, the creature standing before everyone was no different from modern Homo sapiens.
"Click—"
At the mont this strange creature appeared, the Security Bureau staff imdiately raised their weapons.
"Stop! Stop! Don’t touch it! This is an extrely precious projection!"
"If it’s broken, it would be gone!" The archaeologists dispatched by the Security Bureau quickly shouted, arms spread wide, jumping onto the table and shielding all the gun barrels.
The technology from the last Spiritual Particle Era is strange, imnsely profound, yet exceedingly simplistic.
It seems as if it were constructed on fungi, or so kind of genetic technology.
Both advanced and very primitive.
The humanoid creature in front of them seed complete, but the archaeologists knew it was rely a temporary shell ford by fungi.
Inside, it carries the information of the last era.
"......"
The creature that erged from the abyss appeared capable of interpreting the reactions around it, simply smiling lightly without interfering in the conversation of the newcors.
It awaited patiently.
