Now reading: Chapter 75: Can't Stop Courting Death from Frieren: I Reject My Humanity!, a Action novel by MikuDayo.

"Tch, so what do you plan to do? If you have the ability, why don't you take us through ti? If you can manage that, I wouldn't mind apologizing to this golem's master."

Aura said with a defiant look on her face.

"Hmm, traveling through ti... That's an interesting subject. But unfortunately, according to the 'Principle of Irreversibility,' ti cannot be reversed... Ever since I first learned this theory, I've been trying to refute it, but as of now, it remains close to 'absolute.'"

Fíliya ignored Aura's defiant expression.

"Huh? What do you an? Close to 'absolute'?"

The defiance on Aura's face was instantly wiped away, as Fíliya's words had sowhat frightened her.

The 'Principle of Irreversibility' was a concept that Solitär and Fíliya had already explained to Aura back at the abandoned shipyard.

While learning about the history of human magic, Aura had co to realize just how correct this principle was.

And now, the very human who had taught her the 'Principle of Irreversibility' was saying that this principle was rely 'close to absolute'?

"Hmm... How should I explain this to you, Aura..."

Fíliya hesitated, wanting to say more but holding back. She delved deep into the world of the system store in her mind.

There.

'Magic to Travel Through Ti' lay quietly at the very top.

Although its cost was a horrifying 300 million—far more than the 'Magic to Transform Humans into Demons'— its existence proved that 'traveling through ti' was not impossible.

And if ti travel was possible, then the 'Principle of Irreversibility' was naturally not absolute.

Thinking this, Fíliya shook her head. She was at a bit of a loss as to how to explain it to Aura.

She certainly couldn't tell Aura, "I know that 'Magic to Travel Through Ti' exists in this world, and it's right here in my mind."

"Hmph, you're just being stubborn."

Seeing Fíliya stunned into silence, Aura felt she had found an opportunity to strike back.

But just then, Solitär stepped forward.

"The 'Principle of Irreversibility' is indeed not absolute."

Solitär said slowly.

"Huh?"

Solitär's calm voice imdiately captured everyone's attention. Both Fíliya and Aura stared at Solitär in astonishnt.

Fíliya, of course, was also shocked, wondering how on earth Solitär was going to prove it.

"Far beyond the Northern Plateau... in a forest near The Empire, there stands a Goddess's Monunt... Inscribed on it is a 'Goddess's Magic' that we of the Demon Race cannot comprehend. Its effect seems to allow a person to return to the last point in ti they touched the monunt."

Solitär's words struck Fíliya like a clap of thunder and also gave Aura a fright.

The Goddess's Monunt... Fíliya had heard of these things. There were a total of ten such monunts in the world, each inscribed with terrifyingly powerful magic.

Human kingdoms also had these monunts, but the magic on them could never be analyzed, and thus could not be learned by humans.

Fíliya hadn't expected there to be magic capable of sending soone back to the past...

But the effect of this Goddess's Monunt was clearly much weaker than the one in her system store. It could only return soone to the last point of contact... not very flexible at all.

Besides, if you'd never touched the monunt, wouldn't it be completely aningless?

"What? Such a thing exists? Back when I followed the Demon King and conquered the entire northern continent, I never heard of anything like this... Solitär, are you making up stories to trick ... Why don't I know about it?"

Aura said, her face a picture of shock, her tone full of suspicion towards Solitär.

"Because you are Aura."

In response to Aura's rebuttal, Solitär simply offered this light reply, a hint of pity in her eyes.

"?? What do you an? Don't think you can look down on just because I can't beat you... okay, I was wrong."

Under Solitär's sharp gaze, Miss Aura, who had wanted to preserve her dignity in front of Linie, once again perford her signature light-speed submission.

After submitting, Aura nervously glanced at Linie's reaction, as if terrified her standing in Linie's eyes would fall.

In response to Aura's gaze, Linie just tilted her head in confusion, completely unaware of why Lady Aura was staring at her.

Lady Aura is no match for Lady Solitär at all, so showing weakness to Lady Solitär is perfectly normal. Why would Lady Aura feel ashad? she wondered.

"?"

Suddenly, a spark flashed through Fíliya's mind.

Why was Solitär so certain about the effect of that Goddess's Monunt?

Could it be that Solitär had already experienced ti travel once before?

With this question in mind, Fíliya spoke up.

"Solitär, how do you know the effect of that 'Goddess's Monunt'?"

...Initially, Solitär didn't want to answer Fíliya's question.

But after a mont's hesitation, she figured that if she didn't give Fíliya a reasonable explanation, Fíliya would surely pester her endlessly.

After all, Fíliya's curiosity was in no way inferior to her own.

True, if their positions were reversed and Fíliya said sothing that piqued her curiosity, she would definitely pester Fíliya as well.

I might as well tell her... The Demon King is long dead anyway.

And so, Solitär began to speak.

"80 years ago... I encountered Frieren, whose mind had traveled to the past. The Demon King told this. He sensed a distortion in ti and space, so he sent and three other great demons to ambush the hero's party. Of course, the most important objective was to kill and analyze Frieren's mories of the next 80 years. At the ti, we thought it was a good opportunity to turn the tide of the unfavorable situation."

"And then you failed?"

Fíliya chuckled lightly. The current outco made that conclusion obvious.

"Yes."

Solitär nodded calmly. She held no lingering attachnts to the past; now, she only wanted to quietly walk alongside a certain soone.

"Hmm, I see. I never thought you'd actually fought Frieren... Say, what does Frieren look like? I've never seen another Elf."

Fíliya asked with great interest.

"If you wish to see, I can share my mories of that ti with you. However, the process will be sowhat painful. After all, the human body is quite fragile."

"Huh???"

Upon hearing Solitär's words, Aura imdiately cried out, drawing out the syllable.

"Solitär, you've really got it bad. You're even willing to do sothing like sharing mories... Aren't you spoiling Fíliya too much? I've long suspected sothing was off about you two... and now it seems..."

It was clear Miss Aura had a death wish.

Fortunately for her, she had a subordinate who was willing to look out for her safety.

Because Linie quickly ran over, first bowing to Solitär with an apologetic and nervous expression, and only then covering Aura's mouth and dragging her to the side...

Of course, this was also thanks to Miss Aura's cooperation, as she had already seen the murderous look in Solitär's eyes.
