A wave of exclamations echoed through the Emirates Stadium, as everyone enjoyed Ma’el’s increasingly graceful and effortless style of play. Anyway, they had a lead, so playing around on the sidelines was no big deal.
Ba God, embarrassed after being nutgged, got a bit anxious. Hearing these sounds, his face imdiately turned red all the way to his ears, and he sped up his steps, turning to charge towards Ma’el.
However, the ground was slippery from the snow, and his whole body was slightly unbalanced, making such a turn difficult.
"Thud!"
Ba God’s heel slipped, and he ended up lying flat on the ground, staring at the sky in deep thought.
"Haha.....!" The crowd erupted in laughter, and only then did he sit up as if waking from a dream, facing Ma’el’s direction.
As he turned his head, he saw Mancini’s aningful expression.
Mancini: "..."
Balotelli clenched his fists, gathered his spirits, and began chasing Ma’el again. Just as he did, Ma’el was also dribbling the ball back towards him.
"Bang!"
He was about to lower his center of gravity when Ma’el burst past him, dribbling the ball behind him.
No fancy moves!
Just going for brute force!
Another round of maneuvering around the player!
Balotelli was instantly indignant. People often say he’s world-class below the neck, so how dare soone try to bully him like this?
He turned to chase after Ma’el, only to see Ma’el’s silhouette first appear in the rear of his peripheral vision, then co to his right front side, and finally pull away a few ters.
At that point, Ma’el turned to glance at him, almost as if to provoke him.
Hmph!
Balotelli’s temper flared, and he chased towards Ma’el, who was dribbling towards the end line. Just as he caught up, he executed a sliding tackle.
"Swish!"
Having anticipated this, Ma’el kept the ball to the outside of his body and gracefully leapt up, leaving Balotelli tackling nothing but water.
"Clap clap clap.....!"
A wave of applause erupted from the crowd, as if they were transported from a football stadium to a Spanish bullring to watch a bullfight.
Ma’el then reached the goal line, stepping on the ball with his right foot and leaning his body back while observing Balotelli and the other defenders.
The first to charge forward was still Balotelli, who had been taunted several tis and dread of revenge.
But with Mancini’s instructions earlier, apart from the initial sliding tackle, his actions were relatively clean. This ti, he charged forward and slamd into Ma’el’s back.
"Pound!"
Ma’el kept his center of gravity low and remained unmoving, blocking Ba God and the ball.
Great Emperor ball protection!
"Oh.....!" A cheer erupted, and the nearby fans stood up to applaud.
Balotelli, both anxious and angry, tried moving forward from the left, quickly blocked by Ma’el shifting his center of gravity; from the right, Ma’el employed the sa tactic.
"Scratch!" Fortunately, Sabaleta arrived from the side, kicking the ball out of bounds from another direction.
Corner kick!
"Clap clap clap...!" An even more enthusiastic applause and cheers erupted, as the fans expressed their admiration for Ma’el.
Ma’el maintained a calm expression, but was secretly holding back laughter. He raised one hand, mimicking the gesture of Emperor Henry, to greet them.
Behind him, Balotelli was already sweating profusely, awkwardly standing in place, using his shirt to wipe off sweat, trying to cover his face from embarrassnt.
"Haha.....!"
Suddenly, a burst of laughter sounded, seemingly directed at him. He lowered his shirt to see people looking at his chest.
Oh no!
His face turned even redder..... He had prepared for a celebration, but why was it revealed now?
Feeling confused, Balotelli looked towards Mancini on the sidelines, hoping for so consolation—only to find Mancini rolling his eyes nearly to the sky.
Clenching his teeth, he felt a rising urge to cry. At this mont, he really wanted to ask.
Why Always ?!
Why is it always him?!
....
