"Brother, how are things looking?" Gu Ningzhi held his breath and input his spiritual power into the ntal regulation device given by Su Jiang, then used this regulator to tune his spiritual power to the sa frequency as the Anbola trees.
Su Jiang indeed hadn’t lied to him. When the device displayed "Regulation Successful," he distinctly found his spiritual power seamlessly traversing the vast spread of Anbola trees across the swamp, making the silhouette of his companions and the sneaky enemies completely visible!
He gestured a few signals to his companions, and the group of forty-two secretly buried the special compressed gunpowder given by Su Jiang within the hidden trunks of the Anbola trees. Arranged thodically, once detonated, it would undoubtedly be spectacular. Although such explosive devices might seem outdated in Future Interstellar settings, they are perfect for the current scenario.
Gu Ningyi looked at the increasingly fierce battle in the sky, the corner of his mouth pulling into a smile that lacked warmth. "What else could happen, Theo’s talent rivals that of his brother, and that arrogant girl will likely be in for a tough fight."
Gu Ningzhi knew quite a bit about Su Jiang, after all, they had attended the Xilena First Affiliated School’s attack event together, and he did not believe Su Jiang would fall to Theo Mossley. Although the Jialanluo Clan was strong, Su Jiang’s abilities were simply too mysteriously formidable! To take her down might require his elder brother to take action himself!

Gu Ningyi was surprised because his second brother had ntioned more than once that Su Jiang’s abilities were formidable, yet never elaborated on how they were so. Even when asked, he would only give vague, evasive answers.
"It seems you hold her in quite high regard..." Gu Ningyi shifted the conversation, suddenly teasing him, "You’re so attentive to her, have you perhaps taken a liking to her? If you’re interested, considering she’s soone you admire..."
"Cough cough cough—Brother, you can eat carelessly, but you can’t speak recklessly!" Gu Ningzhi brushed his ssy seaweed-like hair and showed a hint of embarrassnt. "She’s soone Little Three is interested in, and besides... she has two children with her, which I suspect are Little Three’s kids. You should quickly dismiss that idea and stop overthinking!"

The elder brother of the Gu Family suddenly recalled a detail: seeming to rember that a long ti ago, this second brother had requested genetic sequence information from him. However, he was too busy at the ti and neither brought it up nor did the other actively contact him, so he never inquired what the genetic sequence was for.

"What’s up, senior?" Cui Hu directed the rest of the base camp’s guards to board the cha for aerial combat, cooperating with Theo Mossley’s siege, calculating the odds of success. Having gotten a sense, he breathed a slight sigh of relief, yet noticed Gu Ningyi standing rigidly in place. Even through the mask, Cui Hu could sense the tension of this unfamiliar senior.
Even though he wasn’t certain who this senior was, since he ca recomnded by Theo Mossley’s elder brother, he naturally was trustworthy.
"It’s nothing..." Being interrupted by Cui Hu, Gu Ningyi shook his head, a trace of complexity flickering in his eyes.
Su Jiang was very strong and had a rebellious streak, not an easy woman to deal with, judging by her previous actions and current combat style. And looking at her information, she wasn’t that old, so how could she have connections with Little Three?
