This is the first hospital weekly eting since Gao Xinhua beca the Secretary of Changxing, and also the first since Zhao Feiyang resigned from public office. During this eting, Zhao Feiyang reintroduced the composition of the new leadership team.

In everyone’s eyes, the biggest change was for Gao Xinhua. Due to the nature of his work changing, starting today, Gao Xinhua will no longer be responsible for specific duties. All his previous responsibilities are handed over to Yuan Peiqiang.

Zhao Feiyang briefly explained the future leadership division of labor. The infrastructure and logistics work that was originally under Gao Xinhua will now be handled by Yuan Peiqiang. Gao Xinhua will replace Chen Xing’an to take charge of party and mass work. The other vice directors’ work remains largely unchanged.

After speaking, Zhao Feiyang smiled at Gao Xinhua and said, "Secretary Gao, do you have anything to add?"

Gao Xinhua shook his head, indicating he had nothing to say.

Zhao Feiyang then looked at Yuan Peiqiang, who nodded and said, "Then, I’ll say a few words."

Yuan Peiqiang opened his notebook and said, "I am very honored to work with everyone. I am not soone who speaks falsely or flatteringly. I’ve only been at Changxing for a short ti and I’d like to discuss a few issues I’ve noticed with everyone."

Zhao Feiyang laughed, "Our work style at Changxing is to be diligent and pragmatic. Comrade Peiqiang, feel free to speak your mind."

Yuan Peiqiang said, "Perhaps it’s because I co from the private sector, but my impression of Changxing Hospital is that work efficiency is very low, especially in logistics. Many departnts seem to be overstaffed, people muddle through their days."

Logistics has always been managed by Gao Xinhua, so Yuan Peiqiang’s remarks directly challenged him. Gao Xinhua frowned, about to speak.

Zhao Feiyang said, "This phenonon has existed for a long ti, and I’ve noticed it too. Since Vice Director Yuan will be overseeing this area in the future, you can proceed with reforms boldly as we will all support you."

Gao Xinhua thought to himself, this is essentially joining Yuan Peiqiang in negating my past work.

Yuan Peiqiang said, "The middle managent structure of Changxing is also very unreasonable. There are overlapping and unclear responsibilities among departnts. For instance, how is the work divided between the dical Affairs Office and the Conduct Office? What type of dispute belongs to the Conduct Office, and which to the dical Affairs Office? The biggest harm of unclear divisions is causing a mutual shirking of responsibilities among staff."

Vice Director Qin Guoming said, "I agree with this point, and I have another to raise. In the past two years, dical disputes at Changxing have been on the rise, which is related to the lack of professionalism of the dical Affairs Office staff. So of them have not been systematically trained and lack the most basic doctor-patient communication skills."

Qin Guoming’s remarks were directed at Yang Zhen Gang of the dical Affairs Office. A recent dical dispute in the Cardiology Departnt worsened due to Yang Zhen Gang’s involvent, which had greatly frustrated Qin Guoming, the Director of Cardiology, prompting him to bring it up publicly.

Yuan Peiqiang said, "I’ve also noticed what Vice Director Qin ntioned. There are many strange phenona in Changxing, with many positions managed by non-professionals. This isn’t limited to the dical Affairs Office. During my recent investigation at the Weishan Island Branch, the current branch director, Xu Chunliang, did many laughable things."

Zhao Feiyang glanced at Gao Xinhua, who maintained a well-controlled expression, not revealing his emotions.

Gao Xinhua sensed Zhao Feiyang’s gaze but was displeased. Everyone knew Xu Chunliang was connected to him, yet Yuan Peiqiang’s remarks not only challenged him as Secretary but also Zhao Feiyang, since it was Zhao who appointed Xu Chunliang as branch director.

Yuan Peiqiang said, "In the future, Changxing needs highly educated and skilled managerial talents, not..."

Zhao Feiyang interrupted, "It seems Vice Director Yuan’s investigation of the branch wasn’t ideal."

Gao Xinhua chuckled softly.

Yuan Peiqiang hesitated for a mont before continuing, "I am aware my remarks may offend so people..."

Gao Xinhua said, "Since you’re aware, don’t knowingly cause trouble. The reformation of Changxing has just begun. What we need is harmony and unity, not rushing to create internal divisions."

Zhao Feiyang nodded in agreent, "What Secretary Gao said is right on point."

The director and the new secretary coordinated seamlessly, both directing their criticism at Yuan Peiqiang.

Yuan Peiqiang was not soone to easily back down. He said loudly, "Secretary Gao may have misunderstood my words. I am not causing internal divisions. I am rely pointing out so unreasonable phenona that I have observed."

Gao Xinhua said, "Comrade Peiqiang has been at Changxing for less than a month, right?"

Yuan Peiqiang nodded, not understanding how his duration at Changxing was relevant.

Gao Xinhua said, "As Comrade Peiqiang ntioned, having co from the private sector, you lack understanding of public hospital managent models and relevant managent experiences."

Gao Xinhua’s tone carried a superior disdain, essentially implying, what do you know!

Zhao Feiyang was happy to see Gao Xinhua deal with Yuan Peiqiang. Yuan was the Huayuan Group’s plant at Changxing and since arriving, he had felt empowered as if holding a royal decree. Even towards Zhao himself as director, he had been sowhat dismissive. Now with everything settled, even if Gao Xinhua hadn’t acted, Zhao had planned to set so rules for him.

Yuan Peiqiang said, "Secretary Gao, whether it’s a public hospital or a joint-stock hospital, the managent aspects are the sa."

Gao Xinhua replied, "The only common ground is adherence to the Party’s leadership!"

The room fell silent. Gao Xinhua’s sharp retort left Yuan Peiqiang speechless and unable to argue. Even Zhao Feiyang was taken aback, realizing that Gao Xinhua’s words seed ant for more than just Yuan Peiqiang.

The other vice directors watched and realized that Gao Xinhua was not just a figurehead. Given Gao Xinhua’s past relationship with Zhao Feiyang, they couldn’t help but wonder if Gao Xinhua’s assertiveness was endorsed by Zhao Feiyang.

Zhao Feiyang laughed to ease the atmosphere, "Secretary Gao makes a good point, and Vice Director Yuan’s suggestions deserve our consideration. Building a joint-stock hospital is a process of seeking common ground while preserving differences. Only by working towards the sa goal can Changxing achieve leapfrog developnt."

Geng Wenxiu was the first to applaud, and following her lead, everyone else began clapping as well.

Taking advantage of the situation, Zhao Feiyang announced the eting’s adjournnt. Yuan Peiqiang, fuming, left first with a sullen face, and the others followed suit shortly after.

Zhao Feiyang didn’t rush to leave. Gao Xinhua also sat there, pulling out a pack of cigarettes gifted by Xu Chunliang from his pocket. He lit one and leisurely took a puff.

Zhao Feiyang smiled and said, "Brother Xinhua, sotis a bit of finesse is necessary."

Gao Xinhua replied, "He thinks that just because he controls a significant portion of the shares, he can start dictating to Changxing. To be frank, he doesn’t seem to have much regard for you as the director."

Zhao Feiyang certainly caught onto the provocation, laughing, "That Xu Chunliang kid isn’t easy to deal with either. He caused quite a fuss on Weishan Island."

Gao Xinhua aningfully said, "You should have foreseen the potential repercussions when you chose to use him. I was the one who brought him to Changxing, and you’re the one who promoted him to his current position. What Yuan Peiqiang did earlier was essentially a public slap in our face."

Zhao Feiyang said, "It’s not worth getting worked up over soone like him."

Gao Xinhua deliberately asked, "Are you also considering removing Xiaoxu?"

Zhao Feiyang shook his head, "I don’t have such an intention. He’s your person. How dare I act without your consent?"

Those words didn’t sit well with Gao Xinhua, who took a deep drag on his cigarette and remained silent, letting Zhao Feiyang contemplate on his own.

Zhao Feiyang sensed his displeasure and said, "Xiaoxu has his flaws, but his work capabilities are outstanding."

Gao Xinhua remarked, "He once beat up Huayuan Group’s Young Master Tang Tianyi. Do you think Yuan Peiqiang’s actions today might be related to that incident?"

Zhao Feiyang said, "I don’t think so."

Gao Xinhua continued, "Yan Huaiyi is quite interested in Xu Chunliang. If you don’t plan on using him, why not let him go to the Infectious Disease Hospital?"

Zhao Feiyang knew Gao Xinhua was speaking for his benefit. Although he didn’t initially want to take a stance, Gao Xinhua had pushed him to the point where he had to express a clear opinion, "Brother Xinhua, I personally promoted Xiaoxu as a young cadre. How to use him, whether to use him, is up to to decide. Not Yuan Peiqiang, and certainly not Huayuan Group’s President Tang."

This was exactly what Gao Xinhua wanted to hear. Smiling, he said, "I knew you wouldn’t blindly follow their opinions." Gao Xinhua understood Zhao Feiyang, knowing that he held himself in high regard, and his ambition matched with a strong desire for power. Yuan Peiqiang’s public challenge today, in so way, actually helped Xu Chunliang.

The entry of private capital into Changxing was already a fact, and many employees within Changxing had started to change their mindset.

Zheng Peian was among the first. He proactively participated in the bid for the Traditional Chinese dicine Therapeutic Center, but ultimately failed.

Upon learning of this outco, Xu Chunliang specifically invited him out for a al, intending to console him. Initially, Zheng Peian had sought help from Huichun Hall for this matter, but the old master had refused, which made Xu Chunliang feel sowhat guilty.

Due to a sudden drop in temperature, Xu Chunliang suggested going out for copper pot hot pot. A new Beijing-style hot pot restaurant had opened near Huichun Hall, offering authentic flavors.

Xu Changshan rarely liked to dine out but followed them to the private room. Seeing the authentic copper pot, he laughed, "This is indeed the taste of Beijing-style hot pot."

Xu Chunliang said, "It’s all made with spring water from Qilian Mountain, and the lamb was also transported from there."

Xu Changshan marveled at how advanced logistics had beco. Things from all over the country could be delivered overnight, marking the end of the era of scarcity. In today’s Dongzhou, one could enjoy delicacies from all over the country.

Zheng Peian asked Xu Chunliang who else he had invited. Xu Chunliang had also invited Gao Xinhua, but since Gao Xinhua had just been appointed as the secretary and had been busy with work, no confirmation had been given. Just as Xu Chunliang was about to call to inquire after the appointnt ti had passed by ten minutes, Gao Xinhua arrived, bringing along an old friend—Tong Guangsheng.
