"Hey, sorry for pushing you off just now, I—"

Rosana raised her hand, cutting him off with a dismissive wave. "Don't worry about it," she chuckled, her voice light despite the tension.

"I tend to lose my cool when I see sothing I want. My dad always jokes that it's a good thing I've never had a crush on soone, 'cause I might just tear them apart!" Her laughter bood, echoing slightly in the open space as she devoured the last chunk of at.

The rich, savory aroma of the freshly cooked ga filled the air, mingling with the earthiness of the surrounding woods.

Ty, watching her with a hint of wariness, shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "So, what's been happening with your father?" he asked, his tone laced with concern. "I caught bits and pieces about it."

"Yeah, he went missing after so beast ravaged our tribal lands," Rosana explained, her voice dropping to a somber note. "My uncle says he chased after the creature because it stole sothing precious. They haven't seen him since, but they found his handkerchief, soaked in blood, near the site."

Ty nodded, his brow furrowing as he processed the information. "I see. And where exactly is this place?"

Rosana chuckled. "Funny enough, it's out here on this continent, probably about a hundred miles west or so, near the mountain ranges."

"I see. Well, I guess in the anti we need to focus on how we're going to get through this first Arena," Ty suggested. "Once you've cald down a bit, please et at the center of the court. I want to go through so attack patterns we might use. We probably only have a few hours—"

Ty was interrupted as two guards approached them. "Ti fra has changed. Be ready to go with all your gear and belongings in 60 minutes."

"Ah, well, all the more reason to be ready and prepared. Let's get through this first arena with our heads still on our shoulders," he said, extending his hand toward Rosana. She grasped it, pulling herself up with a vigorous stretch.

Ty watched as Rosana's uncle waved goodbye and packed up to leave. He called out, "We will all be watching, make us proud, Rosana."

She waved him off with a brisk nod. "Alright, if it helps us survive, then lead the way, leader!"

Ty, a bit startled, replied, "Don't call leader; I'm just trying to make sure we all get through this—or at least that you don't get killed."

"Sounds like what a leader would do to ," Rosana retorted, crossing her arms and striding past Ty. Are all won with fox ears this crazy high-energy? Ty wondered briefly to himself.

Shaking off the thought, Ty moved to the center of the court and clapped his hands loudly to capture the group's attention.

"Alright, everyone," he called out, his voice echoing slightly across the open space. "Let's gather around quickly and go over so plans and basic formations."

Ty, raising his voice to gather the group's attention, clapped his hands sharply. "Alright everyone, let's get together real quick and go over so plans and so basic formations," he announced as the team gathered around him.

"We're going to borrow so tactics from my world—military strategies that have proven effective. Now, we don't have their resources, but the principles are solid," Ty explained, his expression serious as he began outlining the strategy.

"First, we'll utilize a pincer movent. It's a classic maneuver where we split into two groups, encircling the target from two sides. It'll allow us to squeeze the enemy in a coordinated trap. Gisorn, Rosana, you're on scouting. Once you give us the signal, Kern, you and I will initiate the attack from opposite directions."

Kern, folding his arms, nodded grudgingly. "Fine, but if I see an opening for the king, I'm taking it. Just make sure your plan doesn't get in my way." His tone was gruff, but he was clearly on board with the strategy.

Gisorn, leaning against a tree, chid in with a smirk. "Sounds like sothing out of an action flick, but it's good. Count in." His agreent was straightforward, showing his readiness to engage in the upcoming battle.

Rosana, ever the energetic one, punched the air excitedly. "Perfect! I love it when things get tactical. Let's show them what we've got!" Her enthusiasm was infectious, even drawing a brief smile from the usually stoic John.

John, who had been quiet, shrugged. "As long as it gets us through, I don't care what we do. Just keep your minds sharp and don't screw up." His indifference was typical, yet it was clear he understood the necessity of a solid plan.

Ty gave John a wary side-eye, the skepticism clear in his tense posture, and asked, "John, how exactly does your mind reading work? This is crucial for my idea."

John explained, his voice a soothing murmur against the distant hum of the arena, "Well, when I make contact with you, you'll feel a slight tingle, like a whisper across your mind, as a display appears requesting access to view your mories. I can set paraters, so I only view the most recent mories."

He continued, the scent of the damp earth rising as the evening cooled, "It's not as perfect as you might think. mories are finicky; if the mind perceives sothing differently from what actually happened, I might end up viewing a false mory and building off those distorted perceptions."

"Furthermore," John's fingers brushed against Ty's arm, sending a chill up his spine, "I can link mories, allowing to pass information from, say, the Demon to Gisorn, letting them use that linked event to make quick decisions."

Ty nodded, the air heavy with the weight of his decision. "And how long does this last?"

John's eyes flickered with a hint of fatigue. "It stays for as long as I can channel energy, usually around 2-3 hours. I've managed to maintain a mory link with up to three people before, but I've never tried with four."
