Jade pocketed her phone, her gaze fixed on the swirling portal above. The implications were clear: this was no ordinary threat, and her unique abilities were needed now more than ever. She turned to Vonte Cruz, who was coordinating with his n, readying them for what was to co.

"We need to move, now!" Jade shouted over to him, her determination clear. "Follow my lead!"

As they prepared to face whatever erged from that ominous portal. Monts later as everyone's attention was grabbed upward as a figure began to erge with both his hands stretched out as his palms were lighted with gold.

Shit where is Kieran?! She should already be done fighting that creature.

anwhile, 10 minutes ago.

Kieran watched as Jade ran off as the creature began to pick itself back up as hundreds of zombies began to leak out of every corner of the streets as she stood in the center as she took a deep breath, unraveling her whip as the sound of a soft lody began to ring softly in her ears as she looked up, hearing the boy still perched up, playing his flute.

As the horde of zombies surged forward, Kieran steadied her stance in the center of the street, her whip unfurling with a crisp snap. The soft lody from the flute played on, but she pushed the distraction aside, focusing on the imdiate threat.

The first wave of zombies reached her, their grotesque forms moving with a mindless hunger. Kieran swung her whip with precision, the tip slicing through the air and cutting down the leading zombies. Limbs and decayed flesh parted under the weapon's sharp edge, falling to the ground with wet thuds.

Each crack of her whip was a deadly stroke, severing heads and limbs, thinning the crowd one strike at a ti.

Yet, for every zombie that fell, more seed to erge. From every shadowed alley and broken doorway, they poured into the street, drawn by the noise or perhaps the lingering scent of the living. Kieran moved fluidly, her body weaving through the swarm, her whip a blur of motion. She was an island in a sea of decay, untouched but surrounded.

A larger, more robust zombie lumbered forward, its eyes glowing with a faint, unnatural light.

Kieran eyed it warily, timing her movents. As it reached out to grab her, she ducked under its grasp, her whip coiling around its neck.

With a powerful yank, she decapitated the creature, its head flying off as its body crumpled to the ground.

Despite the efficiency of her attacks, the sheer number of zombies was overwhelming. The sound of the flute continued, a constant in the chaos, reminding her of the boy on the roof. "I really need to check on that boy when I get the chance," she thought again, slicing through another wave of attackers.

The battle was relentless. Kieran's arms began to feel the strain of continuous motion, her whip now a heavy weight in her hand. She glanced around, assessing her situation. The zombies seed endless, their numbers undiminished by her efforts.

As the lody wove its way into her senses, Kieran took a deep breath, sensing the encroaching zombies closing in from all sides. They lunged simultaneously, a coordinated assault that left no avenue for escape on the ground. With swift determination, Kieran leaped high into the air, the surge of adrenaline propelling her well above the reaching hands of the undead.

From her aerial vantage point, Kieran caught a glimpse of the boy with the flute. His eyes widened in surprise, montarily pausing his play as he watched her ascend. The sight of his stunned expression was almost satisfying, but there was no ti to revel in it.

"Well, ti to try this new move. I haven't practiced much, but... Divine Blast!" she declared to herself, more to focus her intent than anything else.

Kieran cracked her whip downward, the movent sharp and decisive. As it extended fully, a surge of blue energy wrapped around the length of the whip, illuminating it with a brilliant glow. She channeled all her might into the whip, and as she swung it towards the ground, a torrent of pure blue energy burst forth.

The force of the energy blast erupted upon impact, the ground beneath cracking and splitting under the imnse power, sending shockwaves through the horde.

The blast tore through the ranks of zombies, disintegrating them into re bits of decay and scattered body parts. The air was filled with the acrid sll of obliterated undead as Kieran descended gracefully back to the ground, landing with a soft thud.

She wiped her brow, feeling the drain of energy more acutely than she had anticipated. "That took a bit more energy than I thought, but it should work pretty good on Erebos next ti I et him," she mused, considering the effectiveness of her new ability. Explore more adventures at empire

The imdiate threat neutralized, a profound silence enveloped the area. It was a rare mont of peace amidst the chaos, and as Kieran surveyed her surroundings, a thought crossed her mind. "I should probably let the others know what's going on again."

In the brightly lit room, the air was filled with the soft sounds of keyboard taps and quiet conversations.

n and won dressed in uniform sat intently in front of nurous screens, each one showing different parts of the world.

At the back of the room, a plain white desk held a unique item: a small cube nestled deeply into a recess in the table. It began to glow with a soft blue light and gently lifted from its snug position, humming a quiet tune.

One of the operators, turning away from his monitor, called out, "Looks like one of the Angelics is on the line. Anyone free to take it?"

A woman, bored from the monotony of the day, stretched her arms and replied, "I'll take it. It's been quiet anyway. Haven't heard from Ziues in a while, but he's probably fine."
