Daemon’s head snapped up, his eyes widening as a figure stepped into the clearing. She moved with an eerie grace, her cloak billowing around her, the fabric shimring with a soft purple glow as she approached.

General Omhina.

The harpooner’s eyes widened as he stepped back, his face pale with recognition. "General Omhina…"

Omhina’s eyes were cold as she regarded the scene before her, her gaze flicking between Daemon, Osalf, and the harpooner. "I sensed your energy, Daemon," she said calmly, her hand glowing with a soft green light. "I couldn’t let you die here."

Daemon let out a weak chuckle, though his breath was labored, and his body trembled with exhaustion. "I didn’t an for you to co. I could’ve handled this."

Omhina raised an eyebrow, her gaze sharp. "You handled it so well that you let yourself get nearly killed."

Daemon winced as she stepped closer, the green energy swirling around her hand as she reached out toward his wounded shoulder. The mont her hand touched his skin, the pain began to ease, the warmth of her healing energy flowing through him like a balm.

The harpooner growled, his chain re-forming in his hand as he raised it toward Omhina. "Think you can just heal him and walk away?"

Omhina didn’t flinch. Instead, she turned her gaze toward the harpooner, her eyes filled with an icy calm. "I don’t think you understand the situation," she said quietly. "You’re outmatched."

The harpooner sneered. "I’ve already shot him once. I’ll do it again."

Daemon’s muscles twitched as the healing energy from Omhina began to knit his flesh back together. The pain was still there, but it was manageable now, the wound closing slowly but surely. He clenched his fist, the strength returning to his arm.

"Your last shot took too long to charge," Daemon muttered, his voice gaining strength as the healing continued. "I made sure you hit my already damaged shoulder. All part of the plan."

The harpooner’s eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on the chain. "You think you’re clever, don’t you?"

Omhina smirked, her eyes gleaming with amusent. "He is. Even if he’s stupid."

Osalf, who had been watching the exchange in silence, finally spoke, his voice filled with contempt. "Naive. All of you."

Daemon straightened, his breath coming easier now as Omhina’s healing touch worked its magic

Daemon straightened, his breath coming easier now as Omhina’s healing touch worked its magic. He could feel the warmth of the green energy flowing through him, knitting his flesh together, pulling him back from the brink of collapse. But even as his strength returned, the taste of blood lingered in his mouth, a reminder of how close to death he had co.

His muscles still scread with the strain, his shoulder throbbing from the deep, ragged wound where the harpoon had torn through him.

Omhina’s hand lingered on his shoulder for a mont longer, her eyes scanning the battlefield with cold precision. "You can stand, but we’re not done yet."

Daemon grunted in acknowledgnt, his grip tightening on the hilt of his blade. The harpooner, recovering from Daemon’s earlier counter, was circling back, his chain rattling ominously in the air. But Daemon barely had ti to process the threat before he felt it—a shift in the air, a change so subtle that most wouldn’t have noticed.

But Daemon did.

Two more Black Bulls stepped from the shadows, their figures materializing as if the air itself had warped to accommodate their arrival. One of them, draped in dark, flowing robes, his presence surrounded by a low hum of residual magic, stepped forward with deliberate grace. His cold, calculating eyes locked onto Omhina with an almost predatory gleam.

"I’m surprised you’ve held out this long, General," the man said, his voice smooth but dripping with venom. "But your ti is over."

Daemon’s gaze flicked toward Omhina. "Who the hell is this?"

Omhina didn’t take her eyes off the man. "Xuán Wěi, a summoner. He absorbs arcane energy from the environnt and bends it to his will."

The air around Xuán Wěi seed to shimr with power as he raised one hand, his fingers twitching slightly. The ground beneath him began to pulse with ethereal energy, faint tendrils of light spiraling outward as the atmosphere itself seed to grow heavier.

As if summoned by his re presence, spectral wraiths began to rise from the earth, their translucent forms taking shape around him. They hovered, flickering in and out of existence, their eyeless faces turning toward Daemon and Omhina.

Before Daemon could react, a second figure stepped forward, his form shifting in and out of the shadows as if he were barely tethered to reality. His dark robes billowed around him, the edges of his cloak seemingly consud by shadow.

"Bai Yun," Omhina whispered, her jaw tightening. "He warps space… manipulates gravity."

Bai Yun smirked, his fingers brushing against the hilt of a void blade that shimred with a faint distortion of space. "Didn’t think you’d get out of here alive, Daemon. General Osalf warned us about you."

"Now it’s four against two," Xuán Wěi said softly, his spectral wraiths closing in around them like a tightening noose. "You were outnumbered before, but now? You’re outmatched."

Daemon felt a pang of dread rise in his chest, but he swallowed it down, steeling himself. He wasn’t about to give up—not after everything. "I’ve fought worse odds," he growled, his blade raised in defiance.

Omhina’s eyes narrowed. "It’s not the odds. It’s their skills. They complent each other… this won’t be easy."

Osalf chuckled, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he stepped back, allowing the Black Bulls to move into position. "You always thought you could save this kingdom, didn’t you, Daemon? But now look at you—fighting on your last breath, surrounded by the very corruption you sought to eliminate."

Daemon gritted his teeth, his body still aching from the harpoon wound, but he stood his ground. His grip on his sword tightened as he squared his shoulders, his eyes burning with defiance. "You’ll have to kill to prove your point."
