"Painkillers," John replied, his tone matter-of-fact. "They'll deal with any internal bleeding and numb the nerves enough so you won't slow down during the fight." He suddenly paused, his eyes widening. "Wait—what the hell is that behind you?"

Ty spun around, just in ti to see a chanical spider, its tiny red eye blinking ominously. He barely reacted before it fired a dart directly at him. Instinct took over, and Ty caught the dart mid-air, but as soon as his fingers wrapped around it, an electric current surged through him. He gritted his teeth, his muscles locking up montarily before he crushed the dart in his hand, cutting off the current.

John stomped on the spider, tal parts scattering across the ground. "What the hell," John muttered, his eyes darting around. "Is this so kind of enemy trick?"

Ty shook his head, still feeling the residual shock in his wrist. A familiar scent wafted in the air—just a hint of JJ's perfu. It was gone as quickly as it ca, leaving Ty to wonder. He shook his head, pushing the thought aside. "No ti for that. We need to move."

John looked like he was about to argue. "But what if—"

"Doesn't matter," Ty cut him off, his tone firm. "Let's go. I've got a feeling it's nothing we need to worry about."

Without waiting for a response, Ty rushed forward, slamming open the door to the castle. The interior was eerily similar to the setup of the Purple Midnights, but instead of deep purples, everything was cast in shades of orange. Ty's gaze zeroed in on two n seated cross-legged on the floor, dressed in orange garnts and eating bowls of rice.

"Hey, you two!" Ty barked, his voice echoing in the spacious room. "Which one of you is the King?!"

One of the n—a skinny figure with light green skin—looked up lazily, while the other, darker-skinned and wearing glasses, simply adjusted the book resting by his side.

The green-skinned one smirked. "Oh, so soone actually got past Alexander. I have to admit, I'm curious. What kind of tricks did you use to manage that?" His tone was mocking, his gaze condescending. "Doesn't matter, though. Your team won't last much longer. Your King will be dead soon, or maybe all of you first. Why not just sit down and wait it out?" He gestured to the bowls of rice. "You can't kill us. You have no idea who the real King is."

John walked in, his fingers working at the clasps on his golden bracelets. He undid them slowly, a confident smirk on his face. "We'll see about that," he said, his eyes fixed on the two n in orange. "We have our thods. You know, we could just kill both of you, and then and demon boy here could sit tight while the rest of our team sorts itself out."

John stacked the golden bracelets together, his eyes locking on the darker-skinned man. "Now die." With a flick of his wrist, he launched the bracelets forward, each one spinning through the air with lethal intent. The dark-skinned man reacted instantly, his body springing up from the floor, his book snapping open as he shouted, "Deflect!"

The golden bracelets rebounded off an invisible barrier, clattering to the ground harmlessly. But there was no ti for celebration. Ty's palms slamd into the floor, his body screaming in protest as the wounds Alexander had inflicted burned anew. Black flas erupted from his hands, consuming the room in an instant, the flas circling both pairs of combatants. John glanced at Ty, his eyes catching the grim determination in his partner's gaze.

"Open up for the green guy," John growled, and without hesitation, he sped forward, his focus locked on the green-skinned man. The two collided, fists eting with bone-jarring force. John could feel the resistance as his knuckles connected, but it was the sting afterward that caught his attention—a patch of green spreading across his cheek, a burn that began to sap his strength.

The green-skinned man grinned wickedly, his voice a taunting whisper. "Hope you enjoy the energy drain—the poison will take you down slow."

John chuckled, even as the sting deepened. He lunged in again, his fists a blur of motion. "You've already lost," he spat through clenched teeth. Each blow they exchanged echoed through the room, their strikes blurring together as neither seed willing to back down.

anwhile, Ty's senses were on edge. The dark-skinned man moved like a shadow, his steps silent, his presence looming. Ty barely had ti to react as his opponent slipped behind him, a fist slamming into the exposed wound on Ty's side. Pain shot through him, his vision blurring montarily as he staggered. The man laughed, his voice dripping with mockery. "To think I'd be facing the Demon Monster so soon."

Ty gritted his teeth, rolling along the floor until he could push himself up. He barely steadied himself before he saw the dark-skinned man raise his book, the black flas Ty had summoned earlier being pulled towards its pages as if sucked into a vortex. Ty watched, his body tense as the man's lips twisted into a cruel grin.

"Let's burn a demon alive," he sneered, his arm stretching out toward Ty, the book glowing ominously. "Maximum output!" The black flas erupted from the book, a torrent of infernal fire racing toward Ty with blinding speed.

Ty struggled to summon his own flas, his hand trembling as he tried to counter the attack. But nothing ca. His body, weakened and exhausted, refused to respond, and the flas slamd into him, hitting him like a speeding truck. He was thrown backward, his body crashing into the stone wall with a sickening thud. The impact left him crumpled on the ground, smoke rising from the charred edges of his clothes.

Across the room, John had just landed a solid punch to the green-skinned man's gut, but it wasn't enough to stop what ca next. The green-skinned man retaliated, his fists moving in a flurry, catching John twice in the chest. The force of the strikes drove the air from John's lungs, and before he could regain his footing, he was sent hurtling back. He collided with Ty, the two of them slumping together against the wall, their bodies battered and bruised.
