Tressa stumbled as her control faltered, her portals flickering out as she tried to reorient herself. Ronnick cursed under his breath, his spiders scuttling into a defensive formation. Rusuf turned his head slightly toward them, his expression calm but unyielding.

"You adapt well," he said quietly. "But not well enough."

The scarred fighter groaned from his position near the wall, his battered body trying to rise but failing. Tressa’s liquid coiled at her feet, her hands trembling as she prepared another strike. Ronnick’s remaining spiders clustered closer, their legs clicking anxiously.

Rusuf’s blade glimred faintly as he stepped forward, his movents deliberate as he advanced on the trio. shock and tremor.

Tressa’s hands trembled as she gathered her liquid, the black mass swirling and shifting in chaotic patterns. Her portals flickered faintly at her sides, each one unstable from the strain she was putting on them. Across the battlefield, Ronnick crouched low, his remaining spiders forming a defensive arc around him. His jaw was clenched tight, a bead of sweat rolling down his temple as his fingers twitched with precision.

"You’ve pushed us hard enough," Ronnick muttered, his voice low but resolute. "No more holding back."

Tressa exhaled sharply, steadying herself. "Agreed."

Rusuf tilted his head, sensing the shift in their energy. His grip on his sword tightened slightly, his sightless gaze focusing on the two remaining Black Bulls. He didn’t move, waiting for them to make the first move. "Show ," he said softly, his tone almost encouraging.

Tressa struck first. Her black liquid surged upward, not in its usual tendrils but as a massive do that enclosed the three of them. The liquid churned and rippled, blotting out the harsh arena lights and creating an eerie, enclosed battlefield. From the outside, the crowd erupted into murmurs, drones buzzing closer to capture the action as the liquid shimred, its surface impenetrable to the naked eye.

Inside, Tressa’s portals multiplied, spinning like gears in a massive, shifting machine. Her liquid shot through them, each tendril moving unpredictably, striking at Rusuf from every angle. For the first ti, it wasn’t just an attack—it was a labyrinth of motion, the tendrils working in tandem to box Rusuf in.

Ronnick’s spiders moved next, their legs clicking in perfect synchronization as they darted into the fray. Each one launched bursts of energy that ricocheted off the liquid walls, creating a web of blinding flashes and sharp, deafening cracks. The arena seed alive with movent, every corner of the enclosed space a potential threat.

Rusuf moved with precision, his sword cutting through the chaos as he parried the liquid strikes and dodged the energy bursts. But the space was tightening around him. The tendrils grew faster, the energy bursts more coordinated. His energy vision flared, tracking each movent with perfect clarity, but even he could feel the pressure mounting.

"You’ve adapted," Rusuf admitted, his voice calm but edged with sothing sharper. "Good."

Tressa’s liquid shifted again, this ti forming massive, jagged constructs that rose like spires from the ground. The black structures lood over Rusuf, their sharp edges dripping with liquid that hissed and sizzled as it touched the floor. She thrust her hands forward, and the spires shattered into hundreds of shards, each one hurtling toward Rusuf with deadly speed.

He raised his sword, the blade glowing faintly as he moved to intercept. The first wave of shards struck, his blade flashing as he deflected them with uncanny precision. But the second wave ca faster, and he twisted his body, the shards grazing his shoulder and thigh as he repositioned himself.

Ronnick took the opening. His spiders sward forward, their energy bursts now emitting a strange, harmonic hum. The explosions were different this ti—larger, brighter, and more destructive. One burst struck the ground near Rusuf, the shockwave forcing him to teleport several feet away. Another burst followed, grazing his arm and leaving a faint scorch mark on his sleeve.

"You’re holding back," Ronnick said, his voice sharp. "Stop pretending this is easy."

Rusuf’s lips tightened into a thin line. "You don’t understand," he said, his tone quiet but firm. "It’s not about effort."

Before he could finish, Tressa’s portals expanded, their edges glowing with a strange, iridescent light. The black liquid surged through them in a way it never had before—faster, sharper, more alive. The tendrils didn’t just lash out; they curved and shifted mid-strike, reacting to Rusuf’s movents with uncanny accuracy.

Tressa’s breathing grew ragged, her energy surging wildly as she pushed herself to the brink. Her eyes widened as the liquid around her hands began to change, shifting from black to a deep, shimring violet. The air crackled with energy, and for a mont, everything inside the do seed to freeze.

"Tressa…" Ronnick called, his voice tinged with both awe and concern.

She didn’t respond. Her hands moved with newfound precision, the violet liquid surging outward like a tidal wave. The portals expanded again, their edges glowing brighter as the liquid tore through them, striking at Rusuf with a force that made the ground beneath them quake.

Rusuf’s energy perception flared, his mind racing to keep up with the onslaught. He twisted and turned, his sword moving in a blur as he deflected the strikes. But even he couldn’t keep pace with the new energy. A tendril slipped through his defenses, striking his side and sending him stumbling. Another grazed his arm, leaving a faint burn along his sleeve.

Outside the do, the crowd erupted into cheers and gasps, the drones capturing every second of the unprecedented display. The violet liquid shimred like a living thing, its movents erratic yet devastatingly precise. Tressa’s face was pale, her body trembling as she poured everything into the attack.

"She’s unlocked it," Ronnick muttered under his breath, his own energy surging as he prepared to follow her lead. "Her third skill…"

The remaining spiders surged forward, their energy bursts now glowing with the sa iridescent hue as Tressa’s portals. They struck in coordinated arcs, each one detonating with a force that shook the enclosed space. The blasts illuminated the do, casting eerie shadows as the liquid and energy converged on Rusuf from all sides.

For a brief mont, it seed like the tide had turned.

The violet liquid surged again, carving through the air in jagged waves as Tressa pushed her newfound power to its limits. The ground beneath her rippled with energy, the liquid forming massive constructs that smashed into the walls of the do, their edges cracking from the force. Her breathing was labored, but her resolve burned brighter than ever.

Ronnick, still fighting alongside her, controlled his swarm of chanical spiders with renewed intensity. Their synchronized movents created a lattice of attacks that darted around Tressa’s liquid strikes, forcing Rusuf to move constantly. Each spider unleashed bursts of crackling energy that ricocheted unpredictably, boxing Rusuf in with coordinated chaos.

But even as the battlefield seed to shift in their favor, Rusuf remained unnervingly calm. His sword moved like an extension of his body, cutting through tendrils of liquid and severing spiders mid-leap with precision so sharp it seed almost rehearsed. His form blurred as he sidestepped explosions, his blind eyes unerringly tracking every threat.

"You’re trying to overwhelm ," Rusuf said softly, his voice carrying a quiet weight. "But you’re forgetting one thing."

In a flash, he moved. His sword lashed out, striking one of Ronnick’s spiders as it lunged toward him. The machine split in half, its pieces clattering to the ground before vanishing in a shimr of golden light. Rusuf’s hand flicked, and another spider was flung into the air, where it exploded harmlessly above them.

Ronnick cursed under his breath, his hands moving in a blur as he tried to command the remaining swarm. "You’re not invincible," he snarled, his voice tense.

Rusuf’s head tilted slightly. "No. But you are predictable."

In a single, fluid motion, Rusuf closed the distance between them. Ronnick barely had ti to react before Rusuf’s blade swept upward, cutting through the cluster of spiders surrounding him. The explosions forced Ronnick to stumble back, his footing faltering as he tried to retreat.

Tressa’s violet liquid surged to intercept, forming a barrier between Ronnick and Rusuf. The shimring wall pulsed with energy, its edges jagged and sharp. For a mont, it seed like it would hold. But Rusuf raised his free hand, the air around him rippling with energy. The barrier shuddered, its surface distorting before it collapsed inward, the liquid falling harmlessly to the ground.

"Tressa!" Ronnick shouted, but Rusuf was already there.

The blind swordsman’s blade moved like a blur, striking Ronnick’s shoulder with the flat edge and forcing him to his knees. Before Ronnick could recover, Rusuf’s hand brushed his chest, and the energy around them shifted. Ronnick’s body vanished in a flash, reappearing several feet away where Heriean and the scarred fighter lay crumpled.

He groaned as he tried to push himself up, but his body betrayed him, his strength spent.
