*** This chapter went over 5000 words, so I cut a lot of it and shortened to around 4600 words or so. I'll edit it later as I'm at work, so point out any issues after reading it, and I'll fix it later. But do pay attention if it is actually repeat or just looks similar.
Just a few more chapters to end this arc. Might extend this arc by a couple chapters if you guys love this, or jump back to football stuff if not.
Enjoy! ***
The next morning, we set out early to explore more of Florida. Our itinerary was packed with visits to local attractions—a lively museum showcasing local art and history, and finally, a nature reserve where we could walk along winding trails lined with towering palms and vibrant tropical blooms.
Each place we visited held its own charm and sparked new conversations.
At the museum, as we admired a collection of colorful paintings and their stories. Kate mused, "I love how art can capture the soul of a place. It makes you see things in a different light."
I nodded, replying, "It's like football. Every match has its own rhythm, its own story. And just like these paintings, our lives are full of monts that, when you look back, it tells a bigger story."
We visited a historic lighthouse where we climbed the spiral stairs to the top, laughing at the dizzying view and the stories of mariti legends. At a small waterfront café, we shared local specialties and discussed the contrast between the relaxed life here and the intensity of the football world.
Kate, in between sips of her iced tea, asked, "Adriano, do you ever feel overwheld by the pressure of being in the spotlight? I an, you're my age and yet… you carry so much pressure on your shoulders."
I paused, thinking of the thousands of voices both in the stadiums and in my heart. "Every day," I admitted. "But I've learned that the real challenge isn't the pressure itself—it's staying true to who you are when the weight of expectation tries to change you.
I want to keep my passion, my creativity, and my heart intact, no matter how many records are broken or how many headlines scream my na."
Her expression softened . "I understand that. In the entertainnt world, it's easy to lose yourself amid the glitz and glamour. Sotis, I feel like I'm just a character in soone else's story. But you… you seem to have a clarity that I admire."
I reached over and squeezed her hand. "I've had my share of ups and downs. I've learned that it's not the victories or the failures that define , but how I respond to them.
And sotis, the best way to move forward is to embrace the simple monts—the ones we're experiencing right now."
We parked at a quiet spot along the beach and sat on the sand, watching the sun dip below the horizon. The conversation was gentle and reflective, filled with promises and quiet laughter.
We talked about the uncertainty of the future, about the pressures of our respective worlds, and about the possibility of forging a bond that could weather any storm.
"I know our lives are complicated," I said softly, "but sotis I believe that in the midst of all the chaos, we can find sothing truly beautiful."
Kate leaned her head on my shoulder. "Maybe it's not about solving all the problems at once," she whispered. "Maybe it's about finding monts like this—simple, honest monts—and holding on to them."
In evening, we t up with Sophia and Lucy, who were eager to et again after our brief encounter in Hawaii. Sophia greeted with her charming smile," Hello Adriano, it's great to et you again. Kate has been talking about you nonstop ever since you two t."
Kate protested, " Hey! Don't lie Sophia, you are the one always bringing him up!"
Lucy ignored the two bickering and smacked on shoulder, " what's up superstar! I still can't believe I'm standing next to a world cup winner and the most valuable player in the world. Are you going to Real or City ? Co on , tell ! I'll trade so juicy stories about Kate!"
Kate blocked her mouth from the side, " Shut it before I hit you! My parents already embarrassed enough."
Sophia chuckled and leaned forward, "So, where do you plan to visit next ? Florida is fun and all, but you will be missing a key experience if you don't visit Los Angeles. Why don't we go there together and we'll show you around Hollywood, maybe even so shooting sets."
Kate perked up hearing this, " Yes, That should be fun. We can maybe even enjoy the LA night life."
I nodded with interest, " I have heard a lot about the place, but never been there. This should be a fun experience."
We left Florida behind for Los Angeles on a clear morning when Kate, Sophia, Lucy, and I boarded a small charter flight. The mood was light and expectant, a welco contrast to the intensity of transfer negotiations back in Europe. Seated together, we began chatting the mont the plane ascended, the gentle hum of the engines setting a relaxed rhythm for our conversation.
As the plane cruised toward Los Angeles, Kate's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "I've had so interesting experiences on movie sets," she confessed between sips of her iced tea. "Working with co-stars, dealing with auditions—I've seen a side of showbiz that's both glamorous and brutally real."
I listened intently, intrigued by the contrasts between our worlds. "That sounds intense," I remarked. "But it must also be exciting, discovering parts of yourself you never knew existed.
But rember, it's not always spotlights and fun, you should balance your work and private life."
Sophia, sitting beside , nodded thoughtfully. "That's what makes a person complete, isn't it? Not just the success, but the quiet monts that remind you who you are."
Lucy grinned. "And hey, if you ever need soone to remind you to laugh, I'm here!" She winked, lightening the mood even further as we laughed.
As we talked and joked around, Kate's gaze shifted to her phone where a ssage notification popped up. She quickly glanced at it, and her eyes widened with pleasant surprise. "It's Scarlett," she said, almost breathless. "She's inviting to a party tomorrow evening! Let ask if could bring my friends along."
Sophia leaned forward. "Really? That's huge! You should definitely go—bring Lucy and along, too. Adriano get's a free pass anyway."
Kate hesitated only a mont before typing a quick reply. "Yes, I'll take you all with . It sounds like a fantastic opportunity." She looked up at with a playful smile. "Guess that ans our Los Angeles adventure just got even more interesting."
I wasn't enthusiastic as her, as I've heard so bad things! previously about so Hollywood parties. Let's hope it doesn't turn like that. Maybe It'll even be fun.
The rest of the flight passed in a blur of animated conversation. We discussed everything from the latest film projects Kate was involved in to speculations about my potential future with various clubs.
Kate's excitent was palpable, and I felt the familiar stir of anticipation that cos with the promise of new beginnings.
We landed in Los Angeles amid a flurry of activity. The airport buzzed with energy as travelers rushed by, but our little group was focused on each other.
Once off the plane, Kate instinctively stuck close to as we made our way to luggage area. Before long, whispers began circulating that Kate, the rising Hollywood actress, might be dating soone secretly.
The speculation wasn't surprising given the way she clung to , her smile bright and her laughter ringing clear as we made our way outside.
After collecting our luggage, we hopped into a waiting car and drove toward the heart of Hollywood. The city sparkled with its usual mix of glitz and grit, and as we passed by iconic landmarks—the Hollywood Walk of Fa, bustling boulevards lined with palm trees—I could sense an unspoken thrill in the air.
anwhile, Conversations continued in the car.
"So," Lucy asked, "what's next for you, Adriano? Any thoughts about your next club, or are you just focusing on taking a break from everything?"
I glanced out the window at the neon lights beginning to flicker on. "Honestly, I'm still processing everything. The offers, the transfer drama—they're all part of this wild ride. But right now, I'm just enjoying the mont. I'll deal with that after my vacation.
I want to see what Hollywood has to offer, and maybe take a break from all the business talk for a bit."
Kate squeezed my hand. "I think that's a good idea. Let's enjoy LA, explore, and see where the day takes us."
Our first stop was a popular tourist attraction—a modern art museum known for its cutting-edge exhibits. We wandered through the galleries, discussing the abstract sculptures and vibrant paintings.
Kate's explanations were thoughtful and sincere, although I didn't have much interest in these modern abstracts, seed like a scam. But I didn't interrupt and just listened.
Sophia yawned and spoke," let's move on Kate, you know how much these things bore ." I antally sent a thumbs up to my savior as Kate walked away from the exhibits.
After that, we decided to drive around Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. We watched the so called famous Hollywood sign. ( that's just a sign , I don't get why people get so excited to see it.)
Then we went to the Venice beach in The afternoon. It was a little crowded and so people looked weirdly at the guy wearing a mask surrounded by three beautiful won. So tried to co and talk to them but got ignored completely.
As we sipped on so freshly squeezed lemonade, Kate leaned over to . "You know, Adriano, being out here in LA, it's like stepping into another world. Back ho, everything's so predictable. But here, every corner hides a new surprise."
I nodded, smiling. "That unpredictability is what makes it exciting. It's like life—you never know what to expect, and sotis the best monts are the ones you don't see coming."
Then I joked, " But you also don't see the muggers or so crack heads lunging at you from a corner either," which made her punch playfully and say, " You just had to ruin it! I swear, sotis I feel you and my dad share sa humour level."
As the day lted into evening, we made our way to a well known VIP club in downtown Los Angeles. The club's interior was stylish yet relaxed, with plush seating, ambient lighting, and a smooth soundtrack that set the perfect mood for a night out. Plus they maintain privacy very well, so no more stupid mask!
Although as we walked in, we got so surprised glances and a few gasps. Although Aricans don't watch much football, they did watch the world cup. Not to ntion my performance that made them suffer. So I was pretty well recognized, as evidenced by so people who approached and asked for a photo.
We settled into a private lounge area, ordering a round of exotic cocktails. The atmosphere was playful—laughter mingled with upbeat music as we danced and mingled with other guests.
It was during this night out that I unexpectedly encountered Hailee—my first girlfriend—and her friend Taylor Swift, an upcoming singer who had been invited along to help cheer Hailee up after she left ho.
When our eyes t across the lounge, both of us were surprised and a little shocked at the surprising encounter. Her friend looked at as well, and whispered so things to Hailee and She nodded .
Kate followed my vision and asked pretending to casual , " Isn't that Hailee Steinfeld, your ex? I heard she just signed with Disney a few days ago. "
Lucy also followed her gaze and gasped, " Wow, that's kinda interesting. Of all the clubs she just had to co here! "
I exhaled and replied, " Yes, that's her. What a coincidence."
Sophia poked from the side, " Maybe you should focus on the ladies who are accompanying you."
I shook my head to clear the light buzz and replied, " Sorry about that. It's the first ti we have seen each other after our breakup."
Kate gently put her arm in my shoulder and asked, " Do you want to go and talk with her ? "
I sighed and replied, " Might as well say hi and clear things up. Can't pretend we didn't see each other. Excuse for a mont ."
As I got up, I could see Hailee getting up as well, while her friend was pulling her back and saying sothing. She shook her head and made her way towards the counter where I t her halfway. Her friend Taylor waved at and I waved back. She gave us so privacy as she walked away.
Our initial greeting was tinged with awkwardness. I approached Hailee with a warm, concerned smile, "Hey, Hailee, it's been long ti. How are you holding up?"
Her eyes were downcast, and she answered softly, " Hi Adriano... It's been a while. I'm okay, just not really in the right mindset today. How are you? I saw the news, congratulations on your victory."
I ran my fingers through my hair, " Thanks. You don't need to be polite, we dated for a short ti, we can atleast act as friends."
She nodded , " Sorry, I didn't know how you'd react honestly. I know how things ended the way they did, and I never wanted to hurt you."
She looked at with eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Adriano. I followed my parents' wishes, and it ended up hurting both of us. I never ant to cause you pain."
I chuckled gently, a note of detachnt in my tone that I hoped wouldn't wound her further. "Sotis, we do what we think is best—even if it isn't.
I'd probably have chosen the sa if it ca between my parents, and a new lover I recently t. i don't bla you. For , it was a sweet dream that got interrupted before it really began."
Her eyes glistened, and she bit her lip as she struggled to hold back tears. "I wish I could go back, change things… but I know we can't. But I want you to know it wasn't a lie for . Everything we shared was real."
"I know," I said quietly. "Just rember that I've moved on, and you should too. I'll always rember what we had, but I want us both to find our own way forward. You can't keep wallowing in the past and ruin your future, Hailee. I wish your happiness in the future."
Her voice trembled as she whispered, "I really wish you all the best, Adriano. I hope we can be friends in future, perhaps when I truly get over everything." With that, she stood abruptly, and Taylor soon followed, leaving standing alone amid the soft buzz of the club.
I took a deep breath, then walked back over to Kate. As I reached her table, I said quietly, "I'm a bit tired—maybe I should head back to the hotel? You girls can keep enjoying yourselves."
Sophia and Lucy both nudged Kate playfully, urging her to go along. Sophia replied, " Kate is also a little tired, you guys can head back. and Lucy will keep the party going." I chuckled despite my conflicted mood.
Kate looked up at , her expression curious and a little concerned. "Did sothing happen with Hailee?" she asked softly as we walked to the car.
I shook my head, offering a small smile. "Nothing I can't handle. We talked. It's all in the past. I just needed a mont, and now I'm ready to relax."
After leaving the club, we took a late-night drive along the sparkling streets of Hollywood, the neon lights painting our faces with fleeting colors. The air was cool, and the conversation flowed as naturally as the cars passing by. She asked mostly regarding my upcoming plans and schedules after my vacation.
"Adriano," Kate said softly, "do you ever feel like the past is holding you back? I an, sotis the mories of what was can weigh you down."
I thought for a mont before replying, "The past is a part of who I am, but it doesn't define . I choose to rember it as a series of lessons—a sweet dream that ended, making way for a new one."
Once we reached the hotel, Kate followed to my room, saying she wanted to chat for a bit.
Kate and I sat on the edge of the bed, the quiet atmosphere a stark contrast to the earlier festivities. "I saw the way you spoke with her," Kate said with hesitation, "and I wonder… is there still sothing there, or have you truly moved on?"
I looked into her eyes, the sincerity clear in my gaze. "Hailee was a part of my past, Kate. I won't pretend it didn't matter, but I've chosen a new path now. I want sothing that grows over ti, and stays standing even after a long ti. And right now, I am just trying to find that."
Kate asked carefully, " And have you found it? The thing you are looking for?"
I shrugged, " It's not a short race Kate, it's a marathon. Things that last long aren't built in a day. " I paused then added, " I know we have been dancing around the topic, but I just wanted to let you know, I understand and value your feelings.
I want to reciprocate them, but I don't want to rush into a relationship and ruin it. I want to know more about you, share more ti and mories, and see if we could really make it."
Kate's eyes softened, and a shy smile played on her lips. "That's all I needed to hear," she whispered, leaning in slightly. She pressed a quick, tender kiss to my lips, and whispered, " I believe that shows how I feel about you ."
We started into each others eyes and just got lost into the mont. Despite slight chilly night air, we could feel the warmth radiating from our bodies as our breaths brushed against our face. I lightly caressed her face and she closed her eyes and leaned into it.
We stayed like that for a while before Kate opened her eyes and smiled slightly. " I should really head back to my room before I do sothing crazy." She whispered in my ear.
I chuckled softly and hugged her. " No need to rush, we got all the ti we need. Good night Kate."
The next morning, we t up with Sophia and Lucy once more. They were buzzing with excitent, probably asked Kate about what happened last night after we left, judging by her shy look. They were eager to show around Hollywood and it's beauty.
We set out together on a short trip to Los Angeles. The city was alive with a unique mix of glamour and laid-back cool.
We visited the famous Warner Brothers film studio, where Kate eagerly pointed out behind-the-scenes details of movie production. She recounted stories from her past experiences on set, describing how the bright lights and intense energy sotis faded into monts of unexpected humor.
"There's always a mix-up or a spontaneous burst of creativity," she said with a grin. "It's like the set has a mind of its own. The Marvel studios are quite fun to work it, although I can't tell for WB."
I listened, fascinated by the world she inhabited—a world of art and passion that, in so ways, mirrored the unpredictable beauty of football. "It sounds like we both live in worlds of constant change," I remarked.
We headed to Warner Brothers Studios on a bright, lively morning, our group buzzing with excitent and friendly banter. I sat beside Kate in the tour bus, feeling the familiar thrill of exploring a world so different from the stadiums and pitches I was used to.
The studio, with its sprawling soundstages and elaborate backlots, promised a peek behind the scenes of Hollywood magic—and perhaps, as fate would have it, so unexpected monts of our own.
Kate leaned over and grinned. "Adriano, can you imagine starring in one of these movies? You'd be the hero on and off the pitch."
I laughed, shaking my head. "I think I'd probably break more caras than hearts on set."
Her laughter was infectious, and I couldn't help but feel that our shared smiles were more than just friendly politeness.
The tour guide, a cheerful fellow with a rapid-fire delivery of movie trivia, led us through various sets—a recreated 1940s newsroom, an eerie deserted town from a horror flick, and even a ticulously designed futuristic cityscape.
At one soundstage, we wandered through a maze of props and costus. I found myself admiring a vintage leather jacket displayed on a mannequin, and Kate remarked, "That jacket looks like it could be from a spy movie. I'd love to borrow it just for fun."
I teased, "Maybe you should—just be sure to give credit when you save the world in style." We exchanged playful glances as the group moved on to the next exhibit.
Throughout the tour, our conversations mingled with the guide's anecdotes. At one point, while passing a set that resembled a lavish Victorian parlor, Kate asked in a hushed tone, "Adriano, what do you really think of Hollywood? Does it feel as glamorous as people say, or is it just another set?"
I considered for a mont before replying, "It's a mix of both. There's undeniable glamour, but underneath it all, it's a lot of hard work and pressure—similar to football in many ways. But today, I'm just enjoying the escape, the creativity, and spending ti with you."
Her smile softened, and she squeezed my hand briefly—a small, aningful touch that sent a warm flutter through .
The tour continued with monts of light humor. At a replica of an old Western town, our guide made a quip about standoffs and duels, and several of us chuckled as he mimicked a cowboy draw. Kate leaned over to and whispered, "I'd pay to see you in a cowboy hat, Adriano."
I grinned. "I'll have to consider that if I ever want to star in my own spaghetti Western," I replied, and we both laughed at the absurdity of it all.
After nearly two hours exploring the magic of Warner Brothers Studios, our group gathered at the exit, still animated by what we had seen. The mories of elaborate sets and behind-the-scenes secrets lingered, and we decided it was ti for lunch—a welco intermission from the whirlwind of tour life.
We made our way to a famous restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, known for its fusion cuisine and relaxed yet upscale vibe. The restaurant's interior was a blend of modern design with vintage touches—a perfect mirror of LA's character. As we settled into a large booth, our table quickly attracted the attention of nearby diners, drawn perhaps by the high-profile nature of our group.
No sooner had we ordered than a familiar face caught my eye at the counter. Henry Cavill, dressed casually and clearly in transit for sothing important, was grabbing a takeout order.
I recognized him instantly from the Superman movie —his striking features and confident posture marked him as soone who commanded attention, even in a low-key setting. I was a fan of his after watching the Superman movie. I told Kate and excused myself from the table and walked over to him.
"Hi Henry," I said, smiling as I approached him. " How's it going man ? I loved your Superman movie. You did great."
He turned, surprise flickering across his face before he grinned broadly. "Thanks man, appreciate it . You are Adriano, right? I know you—I've seen you play in the world cup. You're quite amazing !" His tone was cheerful, and his handshake was firm.
I laughed, " Thanks man. It's a pleasant surprise to run into you here . Are you going sowhere or free right now? I'd love to chat with you more."
Henry grinned, " Sure , It's nice talk with a fan, specially if soone whom I am also a fan." We laughed and moved to a quieter corner near the window, and what started as a brief chat soon evolved into a spirited conversation.
Kate , Sophia and Lucy anwhile watched with shake of their head. " Boys and their chats," Kate laughed without reproach.
Sophia watched Henry with interest and replied, " I wouldn't mind ditching you guys if I get to chat up Superman ." Which made Kate and Lucy laugh.
anwhile, we talked about so regular guy things, superheroes, daily lives, hobbies and stuff. I asked about his acting journey while he asked about intricacies of a professional footballer. We were surprised to find out we were quite alike despite our careers as we preferred to play video gas in our leisure ti.
Henry's deep voice carried easily as he said, "You know, I've always been a bit of a geek in my spare ti. I'm a huge fan of Warhamr—can't get enough of the strategy and the lore behind it."
I chuckled, replying, "That's amazing, I tried it with Necrons faction, but never found a friend who could show stuff, so I quit.
I'm a huge fan of Pokémon, Minecraft and Call of Duty. I know, it's a strange combination, but strategy and fantasy have always been a big part of my life."
Henry's eyes lit up. "Really? That's cool! I never would have guessed you're a fellow gar! Tell more about your favorite ga monts."
We spent nearly half an hour discussing our secret passions—Henry shared his fascination with miniature battles and detailed backstories in Warhamr, while I recounted my fond mories of Minecraft and tense monts in Call of Duty.
Our conversation was animated and surprisingly in-depth; we laughed about ridiculous in-ga mishaps and debated which strategy was superior, oblivious to the world around us. He encouraged to start playing Warhamr again, and promised to show the way to play it.
Eventually, Henry glanced at his watch and laughed. " Oh man, I'm supposed to be heading to my sister's house after this—I haven't even eaten yet!"
I grinned. "Well, maybe you should join and friends for lunch," I suggested, eager to extend our conversation.
Henry shook his head apologetically. "I'm running a bit late today. But hey, why don't we exchange numbers? We could play online soti and hang out."
I agreed with a smile, feeling that pleasant, unexpected connection." That'd be great man, I'd Love to hang out and chat with you more." We exchanged numbers and shared a hug, then said goodbye.
Returning to our table, I saw Kate and others already finishing their als and waiting for . They teased about leaving food behind and chuckled at my animated conversation with Henry.
Sophia gave a playful wink and said, "Adriano, you're so lucky! Now, can you share Henry's number? I'd love to be swept away by Superman for a change."
I laughed and replied, "Maybe if you promise to play nice, I'll think about it!" The table erupted in laughter again, and for a few monts, the atmosphere was light and full of friendly mischief.
After ordering so fresh food, I ate quickly and efficiently, determined not to let the day's excitent leave hungry. We then returned to our hotel, a comfortable retreat that promised rest and a chance to get ready for the next event—the party at Scarlett Johansson's house.
Kate chose my outfits for the party with excitent, as she wanted to wear matching colors for so reason. Although I never got the appeal, I let her choose as she was happy to do it.
After she was done, she excitedly showed the dress she picked with a smile, and bounced back to her room to get ready. I just put on the clothes she picked for with a smile, and prepared for the night to co.
