“Why do you think I would harm the Qin family?” Qin Chuan asked with furrowed brows. He did not understand Jian Yiling’s words. Upon hearing her words, a stifling feeling appeared in his heart.
It seemed as though a heavy stone was pressing down on his heart.
“I had a dream. The dream was incredibly realistic,” Jian Yiling explained.
“And in your dream, did I harm the Jian family?”
“Yes.”
“Is that the reason why you’ve been keeping your distance from me all this time?”
All along, he could vaguely sense that Jian Yiling was keeping her distance from him. Furthermore, at times, he felt like Jian Yiling was afraid of him.
