From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon Chapter 3: Quick Repairs, If you can call them quick

"I like it... It’ll fit perfectly until I rember my na." She says with a bit of happiness in her voice.

Ghost, it does suit her for the ti being until she can rember the na she was given a long ti ago. A lot of people are basically ghosts in the world now too so it’s kind of hard to pin point her if she’s ever in a bad situation.

"Good. Lay back and let work on you for a bit please." I respond with a calm and kind tone.

I’ve not had the chance to be kind with anyone in a long ti so at least I can take the chance to practice with her. It’ll do so good in the future.

"O-of course..." She stamrs at first before laying back down.

There’s no guarantee that I’ll be able to fully repair everything that’s wrong with her but I can certainly try. I’ve got so left over parts from other cyborgs that I scrapped but I don’t know how well they’ll hold up.

Clatter. Clang. Each piece threw across the room could be heard as it echoes off of the walls.

It’s not the best for to be loud when it’s getting dark out there but it’s frustrating when I can’t find what I’m looking for. I never got around to organizing the place properly so things are just thrown around everywhere anyway.

But I crouch by one of the bins near the back, my so-called ’good pile’—digging through servo-motors and joint actuators that might be compatible. The light overhead flickers again, buzzing like it’s got sothing to say. I should fix that. Add it to the list.

Tools are everywhere... so clean, most not. Grease stains the bench and my hands alike, and the sll of burned circuits still lingers from whatever exploded last night. It’s a ss, but it’s my ss, and I know exactly where to look when sothing needs fixing. Usually.

I can’t believe I still have a lot of these damn tools, yet alone half of the crap I took off these old bots. The fact that my good pile still exists amongst the crap thrown everywhere is baffling.

It took about an hour of sifting through piles of garbage for to find sothing usable for ghost but this will definitely do for the ti being. I held onto a bucket of parts from different piles scrap I had throughout the shop.

Lots of different parts that I can use to hopefully fix up her limbs so that she can actually walk. "I heard you throwing a lot around... Everything okay..?" Ghost asks with a bit of concern in her voice.

At least her voice box sounds like it’s adjusting quite well, just need to get her so fluids so everything functions properly. Don’t want her shutting down again after putting all the effort into fixing her.

"Everything is fine, just needed to dig through a bunch of crap to find what I needed." I assure her while sitting down the crate on the small table next to her.

Only if I could use magic, even sothing as simple as magic would make a difference in fixing shit. But my talent doesn’t exist, therefore my ability to use magic doesn’t either.

I let my anger subside before closing up her chest, there wasn’t much for to work on when it ca to her heart. Everything was functioning properly there but I needed to get so of these joints fixed up.

A few hours of switching out limbs, putting in new joint actuators, and even managing to inject so leftover fluids I found took so ti.

I wiped my face without thinking of all the oil and fluids that were on my hands.

Not like it matters since I’m use to getting dirty from working on other projects of mine. I’ll just clean myself off later when I’m done running a few more tests on her.

I booted up the computer once more as she laid on the table waiting for to finish my tests.

Limbs.... Functional.

Fluids.... Present... Functioning as intended.

Heart... Functional...

mory Core... Functional....

It baffles that the mory core is functional but yet she can’t rember a damn thing. Those bastards really know how to make shitty quality cores.

"How do you feel ghost?" I ask with a bit of anxiousness in my voice.

I am a bit anxious about if everything works properly since the computer can say it’s working right and she could struggle. I’ve never had the chance to do actual repairs on. Cyborg before but these are my skills.

"I’ll test everything now.." she replied with a softness in her voice.

She flexes her fingers first—slow, shaky movents like she’s not sure they’re really hers. The servos hum softly, smoother than I expected given the state I found her in. I catch myself holding my breath as she moves her arm, testing the range. No sparks, no grinding. Good sign.

Then she shifts her legs, dragging one foot forward like a newborn fawn trying to stand. I brace myself to catch her if sothing gives out, but she steadies. Barely.

"Take it slow, you have to adjust after the long period without any sort of walking." I advise her while watching patiently.

Her fra is lighter than I thought it would be, but there’s strength in the way she moves—too precise, too focused. She stands, unsteady at first, then straighter. Taller. Her eyes flick to mine, glowing faint beneath the gri. There’s sothing in them now... sothing human.

Damn. I actually got her working. I didn’t think I’d be able to with the lack of resources but it was enough sohow.

"I’m actually able to move again... I didn’t think it would be possible." She mutters to herself while looking down at her feet.

For a Talentless reject like myself, I’m quite impressed with my crafty repairs on her. It would be great if everyone else could realize how useful I am with these types of things but no.... Talents, Magic, and Power... That’s all that matters.
