Velia stops once again as she looks around. "I had a feeling that they weren’t the only ones." Velia says while drawing her sword instantly.
I didn’t know what was happening just yet since I didn’t think anyone or anything was following us again. It is late which makes sense that we’d encounter more monsters but I don’t hear anything.
"What do you an?" I question with a bit of confusion in my voice.
She rushes past and all I can hear is the sound of tal clashing against tal. "Sharp instincts girl." A man says with a serious tone in his voice.
I turn to see that a man with strange fur armor is standing a few ters away from with his sword up against Velia’s. He had a strange wolf like mask on that covered his face completely, it seed kind of robotic in all honesty.
"I figured scum was watching us. I didn’t expect it to be an easy night." Velia responds with the sa tone as before.
Her voice has yet to change in the way she speaks but at least she can be that calm when confronted like this. But I doubt that he’s the only one here, there’s bound to be others hiding around the area.
My vision started to act up again which was a pain in the ass because I still had my other eye covered. It’d probably be smarter to just take the bandage off while I’m out here.
Several sets of footsteps could be heard from all sides of us as I prepared for the attack we were about to face. "It seems we’ll be fighting too." Lilly ntions while lifting her arms up.
"I’ve never killed a human before." Ghost speaks up with a bit of fear in her voice.
I look over at her briefly. " either. It’ll be a first for but this is how survival works sotis." I speak with a calm tone.
Realistically I’m panicking because I’ve never killed a human before so this will be a brand new thing for to do. The way I see it though is that we don’t have a choice, it’s us or them.
I pulled my bandage off of my eye and I could see everything a bit better now. There were at least five or six of them standing in the shadows while staring directly at us.
This is one of the groups of hunters that seem to be in the wasteland that don’t use their power for good huh? Most of them appear to have cybernetics parts to them though so maybe there is a chance that none of them have a talent.
You won’t need to go overboard but don’t go easy either.
I kind of figured that much. These assholes are probably going to give it everything they got so I won’t go easy either way.
"Lilly don’t wait! Attack! Ghost attack!" I shout before rushing in myself.
I could hear one of them start to scream as Lilly rips through him in a matter of seconds, I didn’t expect anything less of her. Ghost also seems to be handling herself well with the type of reaction ti she has.
It should still be enough to handle guys like this, even if it’s not at the highest percentage that it can be. Blood was splattering onto the ashy floor as each man scread in terror before us.
I had two of them standing in front of with their hands gripped on their weapons. "There’s two of us, we got this." The man says to the other one.
Both of them rushed at the sa ti and it felt as if everything was in slow motion. I could see their weapons inching towards very slowly as I stood there for a mont.
I never expected to have these kind of reflexes against people like this so this is kind of new to . There’s no reason for to wait any longer though, I need to end this fight already.
Swiftly dodging the attacks I bring my fist up to uppercut the one on the right before moving back a step and then swinging my fist towards the one on the left.
The one on the right was knocked out of the battle pretty quickly with the one uppercut sending him back a few feet. I heard the impact from him hitting the ground... Even the sound of him spitting up blood.
I sohow managed to keep myself from knocking his head off altogether which surprises . Trying to hold back this kind of strength is not easy at all, how do people even do that?
"Arian!" The man shouts while just barely dodging my fist.
I didn’t feel the need to speak to this man because he was the enemy who decided to attack us. I don’t have any sympathy for guys like this who attack people just for being out in a place like this.
After he dodges my first swing I push forward and swing once again and this ti he tries to block it. My fist breaks right through his sword and goes straight into his chest.
SHATTER!! CRACK!!! The pieces all fell to the floor as my fist connects with his chest, leaving nothing but the feeling of his broken bones in my hand.
"Cough. What the hell..." He coughs up so blood before falling back onto the floor.
These fights have been a little lackluster compared to the monsters I fought back at Ashvalis. I wonder how much stronger the enemies will be going forward.
I shifted my attention towards Veria who was still fighting against the other man who first attacked. Ghost and Lilly had dealt with the ones that were in front of them so it was just her left.
"That man is a good swordsmans, unlike his comrades." Lilly says with a bit of shock in her voice.
I don’t think I’ve heard her shocked by anything yet so this is definitely a first.
