"This courtyard has a lot of my favorite flowers. The Blue Roses are my favorite." Aria says as she takes a seat on the grass.
She doesn’t seem to be bothered in the slightest, even if the grass can stain her all white clothes. I guess she really is pretty carefree with how she lives here.
I kind of expected her to be a bit more worried about her clothes getting dirty if anything.
The rose she picked up was a lot like a normal one except it was blue. Hence the na ’Blue Rose’ but I’d never seen them before.
She gestures for to sit next to her. "You’re not worried about staining your clothes?" I ask with a bit of curiosity.
"We can just clean it up properly later so who cares." Aria answers without a care in the world as she twirls the flower in her hand.
Seems like a pretty fair excuse to so fuck it, why should I care about it. They weren’t ever my clothes to begin with so it shouldn’t have mattered to begin with.
I sat down next to her and took a closer look at the blue roses. They were pretty to look at.
"Honestly the other families up here won’t be very kind. People mix our family up all the ti but we do actually care about the people of Elyndra." Aria says with a bit of sadness in her voice.
"Who exactly are the other families?" I ask while lifting up one of the roses.
"Selvaris and Dravelyn. Both are pretty ruthless when it cos to how they handle problems. A lot gets ignored because of the won who distract the public. We don’t rely on a fake image like they do." Aria answers as she lays back on the grass.
Selvaris and Dravelyn, quite the na for both of the families to have. Both of them also rely on won to preserve the image of what they represent.
I’m assuming that would be peace and prosperity, blah blah blah. A bunch of garbage peddled to people so they keep supporting them.
That gives a strong idea about who might be trying to start a war.
Of course. It should’ve been obvious from the mont we entered the manor. They have to act a certain way till you can be trusted.
Trusting from the start would’ve been dumb so throwing into a position where everything is a gamble would show I’m not just wasting ti or spying for the others.
I didn’t look at it like that. It definitely makes a lot more sense when you factor in what they know about the other families. If their intentions are this chaotic then it’s no wonder that war is around the horizon.
People are probably willing to back them if they claim that the cities below are trying to destroy the peace here.
Exactly. I’m not entirely sure I know how to go about this.
I’ll figure it out sohow, I just need a bit of ti to devise a plan that will work.
"Do you think they could possibly be behind the rumors of a war?" I question while scratching my head, trying not to give her a reason to distrust .
If I’m thinking about this wrong... I could ruin any chance at keeping her trust here.
"Yes. It would benefit them imnsely since it would provide more silvite to their houses." Aria answers without any hesitation.
Suddenly I could feel another presence behind . "My dear sister, educating our guest are we?" Alarion questions with a bit of a playful tone laced in his words.
I stand up slowly while turning to face him. Aria didn’t seem to move from where she was laying. "He deserves to know the truth before going to talk to them at all." Aria answers with a bit of a serious tone in her voice.
"People already think we are shady and behind so of the recent killings. We can’t afford to give anymore reasons for them to lose more of that trust in us." Alarion says with a bit of worry in his voice. He also seems to have more of a serious look in his eyes.
A bit of silence sat in the air for a few monts before one of them decides to speak again.
"Rokuro my sister isn’t wrong with what she’s saying. I also believe they are behind the war rumors since it would benefit them greatly. We just need to be careful, you especially since you aren’t from Elyndra." Alarion advises with a bit of caution as he takes a seat on a bench that I didn’t notice in front of .
I am probably one of the biggest potential problems in this city right now since I’m not from here. Alarion is 100% correct on that since they might assu that I’m planning an attack of so sort.
Obviously that isn’t the case whatsoever, but they don’t know that.
The people who live here will believe the family who preaches to them over in a heartbeat. I am a nobody in this city with no real reputation to back up.
"I don’t think it matters Alarion. People already saw them enter our manor and probably started talking." Aria speaks up with a bit of an irritated tone.
"We’ll just bite the bullet. Rokuro is a worthy ally to have and I won’t be throwing him to the side. You also seem to be on his side since you’ve brought him out here." Alarion says as he teases her a bit.
It is kind of nice to see family interactions after everything we’ve been through.
I agree. The only issue I have with it... Is that it tells how much I truly miss Minami. That hole that will never be filled in no matter how hard I try.
’Actually this could be the perfect opportunity to find a way to wipe one of them out.’ Aria realizes as she sits up. The thought kind of excites her a bit.
"Did sothing I say give you a reason to sit up so suddenly?" Alarion asks with a curious look across his face.
"We might be able to wipe out one of the families." She responds with a small grin on her face.
