Before becoming a reincarnated Devil, Yubelluna used to be a magician. Later in her life, she was lucky enough to make a contract with a Devil from the Phenex house. That was the mont she thought she had finally taken off, convinced that wealth, power, and fa were now well within her grasp.
After all, the Phoenix Tears were sothing that all magicians and humans in general dread of. It was extrely difficult for humans to go to the Underworld, and even more difficult for them to buy things there or obtain magical research at all. Such things were usually sold at exorbitant prices, far beyond what most could ever afford.
To be able to make a contract with the famous Phenex House, which was known for its wealth and influence, was a very happy thing for Yubelluna. Later, when the head of the house offered her the chance to beco a mber of Riser's peerage, Yubelluna did not hesitate for long before accepting.
Being a peerage mber, to say it mildly, ant that you accepted becoming your master's retainer. To put it crudely, it ant agreeing to beco another person's servant, or worse, a slave.
Even with the efforts of the Four Great Maous, the status of the Reincarnated Devils was still far too low. The laws for low and middle-class devils were so strict that, under normal circumstances, they could not even wander around the Underworld without their master's permission, and sotis they could not go anywhere without being accompanied by them.
The fact that they could be traded like commodities among the nobles clearly showed just how 'high' the standing of the Reincarnated Devils really was.
Most noble devils are extrely arrogant and take imnse pride in their bloodlines, and many treat their servants poorly. So even forcefully reincarnate others without their consent. Sacred Gear holders often face resentnt from loser nobles who feel threatened when their peerage mbers grow stronger simply because of the Sacred Gears, and they are treated harshly as a result.
That is why the Gremory House, which treats their servants like family, is seen by other noble houses as an outlier.
The Sitri House can also be considered one of the better houses since they too avoids abusing their servants, and the sa goes for the Phenex House.
Even so, many humans would not hesitate to accept such an offer if they were given the chance.
Yubelluna, who was in her mid-twenties at the ti, was tempted by the power of becoming a devil and the promise of a long lifespan. On top of that, she would beco Riser's Queen, holding significant influence and authority. She felt that the trade was more than worthwhile.
Being Riser's Queen was not difficult, aside from his arrogance, which was typical for most nobles. Enjoying the wealth of the Phenex House, the boost of strength she gained from becoming a Devil, and winning recognition through rating gas, Yubelluna felt that her life was quite good. She even thought that, in the future, she might beco Riser's concubine after he married Rias and live the rest of her life that way.
This was the path she had planned for herself and expected to follow.
But everything changed the mont she t Yusuke. From the instant she laid eyes on him, her life was turned upside down. Everything she had once valued beca aningless. It was as if she had been wandering through life in a long slumber, and now she had finally woken up and discovered the true aning of her existence.
He was the reason she had been brought into this life. The reason behind every action she had taken up to this mont. It was all the work of fate, guiding her to the man she loved most. If she had not, by luck, made a contract with the Phenex House, if she had not beco that yellow monkey Riser's Queen, she would never have been able to et him, her Yusuke.
Everything had been under the guidance of fate!
At that ti, Yubelluna firmly believed that fate, destiny, and even the entire world were on her side. So invisible force was silently guiding her to be with Yusuke, to live together with him forever.
However, things she thought would go perfectly did not. Her plan to make Riser win and separate her Yusuke from that crimson-haired snobbish brat failed.
Her Yusuke was simply too strong, too domineering, and too sexy!
Still, Yubelluna did not give up. This failure only fueled her determination, especially when her Yusuke called her cute and touched her body. The way he held her tightly, cupped her neck, groped her breasts, and caressed her, made her believe that he must love her back, but that he was testing her love and determination.
When she returned to the Phenex House, she began planning her next move. She even decided to see him as soon as possible. However, once again, things did not go her way. One obstacle after another ca crashing down around her, leaving her no chance to even understand what was happening.
First, the fact that Ravel and Isabella were also in love with her Yusuke and were trying to steal him from her.
Second, the useless yellow monkey Riser gave up on his peerage for his mother.
Third, and most importantly, Lady Phenex, Eleonora Stolas, who had beco her new master, was also in love with her Yusuke.
Yubelluna tried to struggle, but that terrifying woman, Eleonora Stolas, was far too strong and cunning. Quietly and swiftly, without anyone noticing, she was already taking over the entire House, controlling Lord Phenex and his children. In such an environnt, Yubelluna beca completely helpless.
She and Isabella tried to escape many tis but failed, and each attempt ended with punishnt from Eleonora Stolas.
The final straw that shattered all her dreams was the news that the sluts surrounding Yusuke had actually killed Kokabiel, an Ultimate Class Fallen Angel, soone she had never imagined she could ever defeat.
The very idea that had sustained her belief, that as long as she could escape Eleonora's grip and reach Yusuke, nothing could stop her, was cruelly and rcilessly shattered into tiny pieces.
Like your first love.
Her firm and unshakable conviction that fate was on her side and that she would eventually be with Yusuke and have him all to herself was blasted away by a harsh slap of reality.
The world seed to have lost its aning for her. Everything around her looked gray and aningless. She only wanted to see him once more, hear his voice, perhaps hug him, and if it was not impossible, kiss him as well, and confess her feelings to him one last ti.
If he were to accept her, she would beco the happiest being in existence. However, if he were to turn her down, she would die in front of him in the most unforgettable way, ensuring that he would always rember her and that she would live on in his mory.
If she could not enter his heart, then she would stay rent-free in his mind!
She did not have to wait long to learn that Yusuke had co to the Underworld. Perhaps Lady Luck was finally smiling on her. She managed to escape while Eleonora Stolas and Ravel Phenex were busy scheming ways to approach Yusuke, steal him from the Gremory House, and keep him in the Underworld forever.
She abandoned her ally, Isabella, without any guilt and successfully fled, heading straight for the Gremory territory.
Her journey to the Gremory House was uneventful. She evaded the pursuers from the Phenex House by setting up multiple fake teleportation circles to lead them astray. When she reached the Gremory House, she stayed in a remote area, venturing out only at night, hiding her identity while gathering any information she could about him.
She attempted to infiltrate the Gremory Estate and enter the castle to et him, but upon noticing how heavily guarded it was, she abandoned the idea. It seed the number of guards had increased since Sirzechs Lucifer was present in the castle.
"It has only been a day since Yusuke ca, I still have ti... but... I can't wait to see him, my heart is longing for you, Yusuke~!" In a small, remote house, draped entirely in a black robe, Yubelluna pressed both hands tightly against her chest and stared out the window, whispering.
This tightness in her chest, which made it difficult for her to breathe, was driving her crazy. The thought that Yusuke was just a short distance away filled her with restlessness and impatience. She could not wait to burst into the Gremory Estate and find him.
"Yubelluna, what are you doing here?" Suddenly, Yubelluna froze. Hearing a voice from behind her, she felt as if she were hallucinating. Had she finally gone crazy? Why was she hearing his voice now?
"Hey, I am talking to you." His voice, slightly confused, made her heart skip a beat. Monts later, she felt his hand on her shoulder, turning her around. When she faced him, her eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before her.
"Am I not hallucinating?!"
"Yusuke, is that really you?!"
