Ravel struggled against Eleonora's grip, shouting as she watched Yusuke's figure disappear down the stairs, descending toward the underground floors.
"Shut up! Are you fucking stupid?" Eleonora shot Ravel a single cold glare that froze her in place. It was rare to hear her mother curse so bluntly, and the shock alone left her speechless. "He is not going anywhere. If you chase after him right now and keep pestering him, you will only earn his anger."
"Besides, what exactly are you planning to tell him? That you love him so much that you could not control yourself and ended up doing that? Or that Isabella and I are the culprits? If that is the case, why did you not try to stop us?"
Eleonora's reprimanding words silenced both won. They stood rooted in place, staring at the stairs with pale faces, their bodies trembling visibly. Isabella held herself together slightly better than Ravel, but even she was on edge. Her teeth were clenched so tightly that the faint sound of them grinding, almost cracking, could be heard.
The way Yusuke looked at her earlier was so cold that it hurt in a way she had never experienced before. It felt as though his gaze physically pierced through her skin and straight into her heart.
If he had hit her, stepped on her, spat on her, or even pissed on her while treating her with open disgust, she would not have felt pain like this. Hell, the thought of him doing sothing like that almost seed exciting. She would probably end up climaxing under his abuse.
But the way he looked at her, with complete indifference, was far worse. That cold distance filled her with panic and dread. What if Yusuke no longer wanted anything to do with her?
What if he abandoned her completely? That was sothing neither she, nor Ravel, nor even Eleonora could bear to imagine. She would rather die than experience that. And the worst part was that she could not argue against him, because he was right. It was their fault.

"I do not think I have ever mistreated you or hurt you, right?" Yusuke rubbed his forehead with one hand as he spoke. "So why the fuck did you burn down my freaking house?"
"I... I am sorry!" Asia's body trembled as the words tumbled out. She did not know how to respond properly. In the end, she lowered herself into a deep bow like a Japanese girl, despite not being one, and shouted her apology at the top of her lungs.
