This is bad.
Naoko was contacted by the Vanquishers since they were now targeting anyone and everyone who was connected to Minoru. That ans, his family mbers and friends are not safe.
'They are going to absurd lengths to ensure my origin...' Minoru clenched his fist under the blanket as he realized the severity of the matter.
'System...there are chances for them to put a tracker on him, right?'
[Indeed, host.]
The situation was critical. Minoru has to act carefully or this would end up bad not only for him but for Naoko as well.
"What Vanquishers?" Minoru asked, his voice sounding innocent and confused.
anwhile, he inwardly asked the system, 'How can I assess his body without letting the tracker realize my powers?'
The system's answer was quicker than Naoko's
[The target needs to engulf the host's sen or blood.]
"I don't have any idea, but they said you are involved with sothing...evil and whatnot. I think they are a part of a cult." Naoko casually stated that. He didn't expect Minoru to pay attention to it. He was just spouting nonsense, to get himself a few more minutes with Minoru.
Minoru rolled his eyes, "What crap are you speaking about then. Just-ouch!" Minoru pricked his finger using his nail, and said, "The knife..." There was a knife and apple slices nearby, so he didn't completely lie.
Naoko was so panicked that he didn't turn to look at the knife, as he hurriedly held Minoru's hand.
"Guh...it hurts..." Minoru cried as he saw the crimson droplet bubbling on the tip of his index finger.
And just as he hoped, "Huh?" Naoko inserted the finger inside his mouth and kept it there for a few seconds.
"...w-w-what are you...." Although Minoru plotted it all, he was feeling embarrassed and soon he snatched his finger away.
Seeing the redness disappearing from his finger and appearing on his cheeks, Naoko grinned, "I just sucked you. No need to be so shy about it."
Minoru retaliated, "Don't speak such a vulgar thing! Guh, you are unbearable."
Naoko chuckled as soon as soone knocked on the door.
"I will look," As Naoko went to open the door, Minoru received his answer from the system.
[Indeed, there is a voice recording and GPS tracker in the target. The tracker is located at the back of his neck.]
Minoru narrowed his eyes; since they hadn't used the sa tracker as they did to him, he had the option to destroy it by himself.
However, that is for later.
"Akisu?" Minoru raised his brows as he found his friend walking inside the room.
The condition of his dear friend surprised him. He has definitely looked a bit thinner, and his eyes were sunken in—most probably because of lack of sleep.
"Hey, buddy....how are you?" Akisu, like a 9 to 6 office worker, sat down on the chair with his back hunched.
He looked tired.
"What happened to you? I have noticed you remain listless in the class and even stare at your phone for hours?" Naoko asked as he sat at the foot end of the bed.
Inserting his hand inside the blanket, he teased Minoru's toes, earning a glare from him, before the crimson-eyed asked,
"Is it true?"
Akisu, with a frown, asked the blue-haired, "Since when have you begun to pay attention to others?"
Naoko shrugged, "Since a few days?"
Minoru clicked his tongue and asked again, "Just tell , what happened to you?" Minoru could tell that sothing was not good about him. Maybe sothing happened to his parents? Or-ah!
He suddenly realized.
Fuck....
"Well...it's nothing. I have been feeling down a bit these days. Maybe I am unwell or sothing." Akisu didn't tell Minoru, not only because Naoko was here but also because he had told no one about Miku at all.
The last conversation he had with Miku...he couldn't contact her after that anymore. Her phone was continuously switched off, so he thought that she might have blocked him.
He even went to the gym and the park where they t those days....yet, he couldn't find her at all.
For how many hours he has tried...how many ssages he has sent...but no reply.
These ten days have been like hell for him. And because of that, Akisu couldn't focus on anything else at all.
Minoru was...cursing himself inwardly
He completely forgot about the whole situation regarding Miku and Akisu since Minami and then Vanquisher flipped his life completely.
He had decided to contact Akisu as Miku while on a trip and talk things out with him. Minoru just wanted to boost his morale so Akisu doesn't feel unworthy of Miku again.
....however, now, Minoru seems to have completely broken the guy.
"I know I shouldn't be saying this, but if it's about soone you like, then you got to be patient." Naoko unexpectedly spoke, making Akisu's eyes widen.
Naoko, with a sigh, added, "I know how it feels to contain your feelings for days and days...feelin insecure that what would happen once you confess, that what if you say this and that...I know that feeling." The guy glanced at Minoru when he said that. The back of his finger softly traced against his sole, but Minoru didn't pay attention to him.
And it was the sa for Akisu as well, since he was only paying attention to Naoko's words. After all, in a way, his situation was just as he was describing.
"Then...what should I do?" Akisu asked, making Naoko a bit surprised.
The taller one took a deep breath and gave him the suggestion, "If you are truly in love with them, with the intention of making them yours, then don't surrender yet. Fight for your love, keep trying and trying until you make them know your feelings."
Akisu clenched his fist. Suddenly, he was feeling a lot more encouraged than he ever could have been after being rejected by Miku that night.
He suddenly got up, and while shaking Naoko's hand, he said, "Thank you for the suggestion..I will not give up!"
