“Ruixiang, trust me. It’s not what you’re thinking,” Li Yiran pleaded, inching closer to Huangfu Ruixiang. “You’re the only one I care about.”
Huangfu Ruixiang kicked Li Yiran away without hesitation. “You liar! After all this, you still can’t admit your mistakes.” He sneered. “I shouldn’t have let you stay here in the first place.”
“Yiran.” Seeing Li Yiran being kicked, Li Yi rushed forward to check on her, worried she might be hurt.

Zhong Yating remained silent, but her eyes betrayed a hint of satisfaction and ruthlessness.
Panicked, Li Yiran pushed Li Yi away, realizing any association with him now would only make things worse.
Regret flooded her. If she had known this would happen, she’d have kept her distance from Li Yi from the start.
“What’s happening?” Huangfu Ruiling broke his silence, his tone chilling. “Explain everything.”
Everyone, except Ye Leng’an, shuddered at his words. There was something about his presence that made them uneasy.
Zhongyu Liuying quickly recounted the events. Li Yiran and Li Yi were caught in bed together earlier that day, sparking the confrontation.
“So, what’s the plan?” Huangfu Ruiling glanced around. “And why summon me back?”
His indifferent demeanor only added to the tension in the room.
“Brother, I want Li Yiran out,” Huangfu Ruixiang declared, glaring at Li Yiran and Li Yi. “She doesn’t belong in the Huangfu family, not after this.”
He couldn’t stand the sight of Li Yiran anymore. Hatred filled him. He once cared for her, but now, all he felt was betrayal. Every time he looked at her, he saw her with Li Yi, and it filled him with rage. He’d never forgive her.
“No, Ruixiang, please believe me.” Li Yiran’s face paled at the thought of being cast out. She sobbed. “I swear, I didn’t betray you. I’ve been set up.”
“Set up?” Zhongyu Liuying scoffed. “Who would set you up here? You got caught red-handed. Blaming someone else won’t change that.”
Li Yiran scanned the room, seeing only disdain in their eyes. Then her gaze landed on Zhong Yating. She stood up, desperation flashing in her eyes. “It’s you, Zhong Yating, isn’t it? You framed me to get rid of me and have Ruixiang all to yourself!”
As she spoke, she turned to Huangfu Jingzhang and the others, trying to convince them, “Please, believe me. I’ve been set up by Zhong Yating. She thought I was in her way, so she framed me.”
This got everyone looking at Zhong Yating, wondering if there might be some truth to it.
After all, Zhong Yating was Huangfu Ruixiang’s wife, and Li Yiran was his mistress, a perfect recipe for drama.
Especially now that Li Yiran’s kid was registered under Zhong Yating’s name, it wouldn’t be surprising if she wanted to get rid of her.
Zhong Yating remained calm amidst the accusations. “I didn’t do it.”
“If not you, then who?” Li Yiran pointed accusingly. “You’ve already taken my child and now you’re trying to destroy me pletely. Have you no decency?”
Huangfu Ruixiang turned to Zhong Yating, his suspicion evident. “Yating, you…”
He didn’t know whom to believe, but he couldn’t ignore the doubt.
“I’m innocent.” Zhong Yating met his gaze unwaveringly. “I don’t even know Li Yi. Explain to me how I could lead him to your room. Li Yi is a powerful cultivator, and he might even be stronger than me. Do you really think I could outsmart him? Li Yiran went pale. She knew her secret meetings with Li Yi would e to light if investigated. Her heart raced with panic as she realized the depth of her trouble.
