Shu Yu regained her senses, exhaled slowly, and forced a smile, “It’s nothing, I just thought of some unpleasant things.”
“Is it related to the beads?” Yuan Shanchuan, who now worked for the government, had broadened his horizons and easily thought of plex matters.
Shu Yu nodded, “Sort of, Fourth Uncle, luckily you told me about this. I did find those beads familiar before but couldn’t remember where I’d seen them; now at least I have an idea and feel more at ease.”

But then he remembered Shu Yu’s current status and acquaintances. If serious matters arose, finding those people would be more appropriate, and he himself might bee a hindrance to her.

This child was much more cheerful now, pared to last year, he seemed like a pletely different person.

Shu Yu turned back and sat down with a smile beside her.
The old lady, however, felt her expression was a bit off and asked concernedly, “What were you talking about with your Fourth Uncle? You seem like you have something on your mind.”
“It’s nothing, I just thought of some business matters.” She quickly changed the topic, “Grandmother, how many dishes have been served?”
The old lady saw she was unwilling to say more and didn’t press further, “Three dishes have been served already, see, the two dishes served earlier, I put them in your bowl, hurry and eat.”
“Grandmother, you’re the best.”
Shu Yu temporarily put her worries aside and ate her meal calmly.
Zaozao’s one-month banquet was particularly lively, and halfway through the meal, Daniu went to several tables to offer toasts.
He was holding a small wine glass, just wetting his lips, nothing more.
Before long, this dissatisfied others, urging him to switch to a larger glass.

The Lu family didn’t push it; among the elders, besides Third Lu, none were heavy drinkers and were easygoing. Among the younger generation, only Lai Jinhai, who was a minor older brother-in-law, could push him, but others were still quite young and wouldn’t force him to drink.
And since Third Lu was afraid of Shu Yu, as soon as Daniu mentioned he had important business at the workshop, he immediately backed down.
Lai Jinhai always listened to Cuihua, so he certainly wouldn’t trouble this brother-in-law.
