And yes, the young lady shared the same surname as her grandmother.

“Young lady, what would you like to eat?”
Granny Fang’s voice brought Shu Yu back to her senses, and she tentatively replied, “I’m from Dongan Province. I’ve been away for some time now and suddenly crave some hometown noodles.”

Shu Yu held her breath. Dongan Province, the flood, refugee, surname Fang, the age not too different, and the resemblance to her grandmother.
All these coincidences aligned; it had to be her.

She glanced at Granny Fang, who was already bustling into the kitchen with excitement.
Seeing this, Shu Yu held back her words. No rush, she thought. Better to first understand her situation over the years.
